  1. The only good thing is that Henry will be cheap next year and that might help. A 1st would be wonderful, but don't see it. A 2nd is likely. Can't have enough young CBs in the fold. Also need Nugent and OL. No trade up, hopefully.
  2. I personally would not waste a draftpick in this draft on a QB. We have other positions that can be upgraded/strengthened by getting backups in other positions. We don't need a QB controversy by having 2 youngs QBs and if JP struggles some (which he might) then everyone will be wanting to bench Losman. Just remember back to Washington with Shuler/Ferotte days. We need to trade Drew, get a journeyman backup and a 3rd QB for emergencies.
  3. Nugent is a winner. Plain and simple. He has kicked numerous game winners for Ohio State. I think if Nugent is there for our 2nd round pick, pick him up and we won't have to worry about FG kicking for many, many years.
  4. Are you talking about for FG's? I thought they couldn't use tee's anymore in college for FGs? Kickoffs on the other hand....
  5. Did the article say where they were hunting at?
  6. If you are looking for a shifty/change of pace guy, I would go with Darren Sproles of Kansas State. He is much in the Barry Sanders mold. The Sproles/McGahee combo would be a lot like Dunn/Duckett in Atlanta. Another bonus: You could pick up Sproles in rounds 4-6 probably. Use those higher picks on other positions, OL, DBs.
  7. Things to do, IMO: 1) Resign Pat Williams. He was a monster in the trenches, wants to come back and is the key contributor to keeping the LBs free to make plays. 2) Trade Bledsoe and Henry and get whatever we can out of them. Henry doesn't want to be here and I believe that JP can play just as well as Bledsoe. Hell, JP might actually throw the ball away when he feels pressure. : ) Hopefully we will get at least 2 2nd round picks for both guys. 3) Try and sign Jennings. IF the price tag gets to high, let him go. If you franchise him would anyone really trade a 1st for him? I doubt it. 4) In the draft get: RB, multiple OL, multiple CBs, LB, DT, K. 5) Free Agency, not much to pick up. Journeyman QB, OG, OT (if Jennings leaves), K. Basically look for spots to upgrade. Don't need superstars, just average/above average players to fill spots. 6) Most Important. Keep the Bills in a good salary cap situation. We do not want to go into cap hell for Jennings or any other player. Do not sign players to potentially bad contracts.
  8. How about Randy Johnson extension w/ a surprise signing of Beltran...
  9. At the party: Man: "Jake, what team do you play for?" Jake: "The Indians." Older Woman: "Here in Cleveland? I didn't know they still had a team." Jake: "Yea, we have uniforms and everything."
  10. "Nice catch Hayes, don't ever f'ing do that again."
  11. If Leinert is not coming out, it is probably best for San Fran to trade down and try to gather more picks. They need alot of help almost everywhere. Also, didn't they already sign Peterson to an extension?
  12. Boomer Rules. I love it when the bills circle the wagons. : )

  16. Yes, Full Metal Jacket, Dirty Dozen are great. John Wayne Movies: The Green Berets, Sands of Iwo Jima, and The Alamo. Also, First Blood (and subsequent rambo movies for Action) Finally Spies like us. ; )
  17. I think the reason why Belicheck teams do so well is that he keeps pumping new players in to each of the offensive and defensive lines. He understands that winning the war in the trenches is how you win football games. I'm sorry to say that position players can be found in the later rounds that are just as good as most of the 1st round picks. You just need to dig farther than other teams and find those diamonds in the rough. It also looks like he also believes in stockpiling draft picks, not necessarily #1's, and somehow rolls them over from year to year. Instead, we always believe in spending next year's picks for someone today. This needs to stop. If we try to move to the NE philosophy, it will take at least 2 drafts before we get some new talent into the trenches to help out, especially on the offensive line. Finally, Belicheck is lucky enough to have Brady as QB and we have Dumbsoe. I say cut Bledsoe TODAY. He is useless and let other teams pick him up. The JP Losman era starts this week.
  18. Here is my team. I actually got McAllister off the waiver wire when someone cut him. All the owners in this league are not the smartest ppl in the world fantasy wise. Also, I don't have to rescind the offer cause the guy rejected the trade. Oh, his RBs are: Fred Taylor, Amos Zereoue and Wheatley. QB B. Favre WR M. Harrison WR Ro. Williams RB C. Portis RB E. Smith TE E. Johnson WR/RB T. Jones BN B. Westbrook (RB) BN D. Mason (WR) BN D. McAllister (RB) BN J. Harrington (QB) BN D. Patten (WR) BN D. Levens (RB) K M. Vanderjagt DEF New York
  19. Once JP is healthy enough to be the 2nd sting QB, they should put him in for a series or two during the game to get him some experience. He can't do worse than Bledsoe.
  20. I sent this guy a trade of Favre and McAllister (my players) for Peyton Manning. (His player) I thought I was giving him a little too much, but aren't those 2 players worth Manning? Comments please. TIA.
  21. If Buffalo can pull off the win vs. Baltimore, they will win on the road and beat a pretty decent team even without Heap and Lewis. This could give the team enough confidence to start getting the offense out of the doldrums and start putting up some points. We can also come back from the 0-4 start if we win this game. If we could somehow get back to 4-4, that could be enough of a push to try for a wildcard spot.
  22. Both defenses get offensive minded... Buffalo wins 23-21, with TKO sack fumble recovery in the endzone, Vincent takes an INT to the house, Pat Williams stuffs the runner he fumbles and PW rumbles for a 55 yrd TD and finally in the closing seconds Moorman pins Miami at the one and Schobel comes off the end to get a sack in the end zone. All of Miami's 3 TDs are defensive with 2 Bledsoe INTs for TDs and one THenry fumble recovered and taken back from the 35.
  23. 40 yards is outside Lindell's range.
