By far the best defense we have played all year.

If our defense is going to be without White, Poyer, and Milano, going to be a nail bitter.

13 points is way too much for how good Jets D is.

Bills better start blitzing too.  Wilson stinks at pressure.

‘By far’ is a massive stretch.  They aren’t far better than the titans or rams. The stats comparisons are a bit skewed because they got two offensive dumpster fires in back to back weeks with Denver and GB

To get picked off while trying to “dirt” the ball in the red zone is reckless and a garbage brand of football. Josh Allen is great…but it’s not acceptable when you have the chance to seal the game or ever for that matter.

Oh yea it’s bad no question about that…but this implication that it’s going to happen again or that second half is gonna carry over to another game is going pretty far overboard imo.

If the Bills want to play a garbage and wreckless brand of football like they did in the 2nd half against GB then they can keep any team in a game and lose games they should win. I know we won but it was unacceptable and it started with Allen.

Why are people exaggerating this so wildly lol. They clearly told josh to avoid taking unnecessary hits with a big lead so he passed up an easy scramble on the first int.  Josh tried to throw the ball away and gb made a ridiculous play to snag that second int.   All qbs throw a couple dumb intercept able passes per game…credit to gb for holding onto them.  This is not going to develop into any kind of trend.

Philly and Dallas are legit teams and if the 49ers can get their defense healthy they are going to be a factor. The Vikings and Giants are paper tigers, the NFC South is a joke and the rest of the conference is pretty mediocre.

Beyond the Bills and Chiefs you have a dam good Ravens team that could easily be 8-0 or at least have 6-7 wins but still sit at 5-3. You have a Titans team that has not lost since week two that is a legit team and you have some other tough teams out there like the Bengals, Browns (who will be getting a upgrade at QB) and Chargers. There is also still the Dolphins who sit at 5-3 and are formidable.

Philly is going to get spanked by the cowboys when they don’t have a practice squadder at QB imo…I wouldn’t call them full 2020 Steelers but they are not 7-0 good right now

I will agree that the Eagles run game scared me before last night, and I feel like the Bills scheme got exposed last night. But, I also don’t think it’s something that can’t be overcome. And I don’t think that Robert Quinn makes them so much better than the Bills O-line and Josh Allen can handle. I really don’t buy into the Eagles at all. But they’re undefeated, and they’re odds on favorite for the NFC. They’re the only thing to talk about in NFC. So this is the team that’s getting better to make a run. But…

I don’t think this trade deadline deal, the move that makes that makes them better than a team with great chemistry and motivated from within.

If the Bills signed Robert Quinn in the off-season, or traded for him then, I’d be over the moon. Just for the record.

Bills would defend the eagles much differently than the second half of the packers game.  And I think as a fanbase we are really sleeping on how good Aaron jones and aj Dillon are.  There weren’t a whole lot of plays where we weren’t well positioned to make tackles.  Also, I’m sure rodgers was audibling and changing blocking assignments at the line of scrimmage which he is much better than hurts at.

Coming into the season everyone was drooling over how good AFC would be at the top, now, almost at the midway point of season, it appears the NFC is better. Philly, Dallas, San Fran, Minny are super bowl caliber teams,  whereas in AFC, it’s looking like just Buff and KC.

No one in the nfc is nearly as good as the bills or chiefs imo.  Philly is about as good as a relatively healthy baltimore team. Heck if Miami can just somewhat sort their defensive issues out I’d put them above all those nfc teams too.  Miami likely beats Minnesota with tua out there…bridgewater had a rough few weeks

even with bridgewater Miami outgained Minnesota 458-234

Yes.  Some people have become those fans we hoped not to turn in to.  Have to score a td every drive, or insanity takes place.  Dont beat a team by two touchdowns and our qb stinks.  We got ran all over so our defense sucks.  All after we win by a good margin.  The drought years are a distant memory for some evidently

I found myself at a pats titans playoff game in foxboro a few years back and the pats fans booed their offense after two straight punts to start the game.  They won the game by 21.  Hopefully we don’t turn into that lol

I am not with the doomers who lose their minds whenever we give up a first down but…that was not a great game.  We made enough mistakes that a team with better weapons would probably have beaten us or at least made it come down to the last second.

I don’t think josh would be reined in in the second half of a close game against a team with weapons so it’s incomparable imo.  Really looked like the coaching staff was like ‘alright you’re up 17, stop taking hits’ and it got in Josh’s head a little. Based on what we’ve seen from him he would’ve more than likely scrambled for the first down on that first int in a closer game

It’s also possible the gb pass defense actually is as good as advertised and we just won a two score game against a team that was a bad matchup for our offense but we’ll have to wait and see on that one

So they have to lose for us to question why they were allowing GB to rip of 10, 20+ yard runs repeatedly and playing nickel when the formations said run?

And why Frazier was playing like he was scared to death of GBs receivers, when their receivers are their weak spot?

That game was a Crosby missed FG and fairly weak OPI call from being tied. You're making it sound like we were comfortably ahead.  We weren't.  It was the way WE were playing that was the reason we didn't know the game was over until Crosby missed the FG.

Missed opi call away from being a game aka we would’ve given up two big chunk passing tds and you wanted us to load up against the run lol massively contradictory

You can’t play this what if game when 7 of the packers 17 points came from a completely improbable td catch by doubs.  He would make that play maybe 5 times if given 100 attempts. It’s way more likely he drops that ball than the refs deciding not to call a tossup opi on tonyan

This revisionist history is absurd…the game was over long before the missed Crosby fg.  If Crosby hits that fg the packers would’ve needed to recover an onside kick then drive 60 yards with no timeouts and 40ish seconds left just to tie the game.  The game was never close

Good 1st half, terrible 2nd half. We won't win if he has a full game like that 2nd half. Luckily we were already up big at that point. Josh is the entire offense. If he has a bad game then we won't win, simple as that. He had a bad 2nd half and we only had 3 points as a team as a result

Gotta think the big lead and our lack of urgency on offense in the second half were related though.  He likely passed up an easy first down scramble because our coaching staff didn’t want him taking unnecessary hits with a big lead on that first int.  Second one looked like he was mostly trying to throw the ball away but give one of his receivers an outside chance which is a mistake I don’t see happening again

They tried passing on the early 4th down. Our run defense had 1 good play (the late 4th down stop)

I mean it depends on how you’re quantifying a good run defense play.  But even so the point remains…why are we trying to rewrite history on the 4th down stops when we aren’t taking that line of thinking with something that was much more likely to go the other way like the doubs td catch.  9 times out of 10 he doesn’t make that catch and the packers are left with a 3rd and 12 there on their way to a 3 point first half

this was the game plan from the get go.  Green Bay moved the ball on their first possession, and couldn't convert on 4th down (probably because they thew instead of run).

Green Bay was hoping that we'd make mistakes on offense (which we did), and that they'd be able to take advantage of same (which they did, to an extent).  Clearly, they had little to no faith in their ability to move the ball through the air - I just found it odd that we let them play to their strengths.

Gb was hoping they’d catch us stacking the box to stop the run in the second half and it just didn’t happen.  Thank goodness fans don’t call the plays.  I’m not sure how much of it was on lafleur and how much was rodgers audibling into run plays but this was a mess of a game plan on their part.  Especially given that doubs made some clutch receptions every chance he got.

they were down 3 scores and their first two possessions in the second half took over 11 minutes and netted 3 points.  Our offense had one of the worst halves I’ve seen in two years and we still crushed them

Our run DEF was getting chewed up the entire game, it's not like the Packers went from ineffective running while the game was close to racking up yards in garbage time.

Yea, ultimately the defense only allowed 17 points, but if those GB 4th and shorts had gone differently I think we'd be having a very different conversation.

Jordan Phillips tackling technique was so fricking weird. He had multiple plays where he didn't try to tackle the ball carrier with his arms- he just threw his shoulder and body weight into the guy. I can't imagine a coach would ever teach that technique.... was he trying to injure the GB runners? Was Phillips other shoulder injured in some way ? I noticed he had one of his shoulders taped up

If the 4th and shorts had gone differently lol on the obvious running downs we made all the plays we needed to and we’re just gonna completely discount that?

  14. This take is genuinely insane to me…the packers have some tough runners and there was no reason to get out of nickel coverage in the second half up three scores.  It’s really not a mystery what happened

people are saying ‘if tonyan doesn’t get hit with that opi it’s a different game’ which is massively contradictory….yea of course giving up a long passing td would change the game that’s why we stayed in nickel coverage most of the game 😂. Our offense was poop the whole second half and we still won comfortably….if gb knew we’d have trouble on the offensive side the entire second half their gameplan on offense would’ve completely changed.

Allen is at his best when he is willing to check it down, throw the ball away, and play smart football. He has played that way in the past with tremendous results.

Sorry, but boneheaded interceptions are never permissible. Josh Allen will be the first to tell you that.

He has the ability to play smart football and usually does. That has in no way taken away from his explosiveness or awesome plays. It actually adds to it.

That won’t happen in a close game…It really seemed like to me that they tried to rein in his scrambling with a big lead and it messed with his rhythm …int 1 he could’ve easily ran for a first down.

int 2 looked like a throwaway and jaire Alexander made a great play.  I wouldn’t expect josh to make a habit of either of those things

normally when a play breaks down josh tries to make something happen with his legs if nothing is open downfield.  This game he took some risks with his arm trying to go for the knockout punch

And to be clear, Josh is still the frontrunner for MVP. He was just so friggin far ahead before tonight's game he allowed the rest of the pack to catch up a little.

As a tangent, I find posts like this humorous, don't you?

Except this excludes rushing... kinda matters here.

    Josh 7407 yards

    Burrow 6956 yards

    Josh 322 YPG

    Burrow 302 YPG

    Josh 61 TDs

    Burrow 54 TDs

It also excludes the bills being through the meat of their schedule this year…we have some blowouts of bad teams incoming.

And yet AGAIN you are talking about the outcome rather than the ease with which they moved the ball.

You have the luxury of knowing the ultimate outcome, but that was ridiculous what we witnessed tonight.

On the other side of that coin, you do not know what would’ve happened if the bills stacked the box in the second half.  There was no reason to load up against the run up three scores

there really was no ‘luxury’ needed…it was clear the packers were gonna run out of time to come back from their first drive in the second half

No, but it was still frustrating to see the uncharacteristic stuff in the second half.

No? 😂 people were complaining about us letting the packers run out the clock on themselves lol massive overreactions all around….the game was over at halftime and we played like it in the second half.  I don’t see that happening again and you’ve got people in that thread saying we’re not a superbowl contender because we only won by 10 🤣
