Beane (and McDermott) are getting better at their jobs. They don't just preach the growth process, they're doing it.

There's also a benefit to Josh being fully in charge now, without any older veterans who have a different approach. I trust Josh's emotional compass for leadership and winning more than any of the departed players. Even though Diggs made a big show about wanting to win, you get the feeling the reason was ego, an inability to not be considered the best, rather than wanting to win for a team, a community and a city that has wished for it for so long.

O'T deserves a ton of credit.

Cooper seems like the exact opposite of Diggs, personality wise. He wants things to be meaningful rather than look cool.
