Congratulations on getting your doctorate. Some of them make great employees. However, your knowledge of microbiology is imperceptible. Carry on... -
All Roads Lead to the Ukraine

Funny how the Dirty Dossier on Trump was so credible for everyone when it was sourced from Russian sources, but if the possibility the Russians were involved in the Hunter Biden debacle, that alone dismisses the question of authenticity. The left is a matrix of contradictions that will destroy itself from the inside. There will likely come a day when being a leftist qualifies you for handicap parking privileges. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

Pretend for a moment that viruses aren't the only microbial that can and will cause damage to your respiratory systems. When you exhale, fungus and bacteria will collect inside your mask, and with enhance relative humidity and CO2 levels, your respiratory system and mouth (including your gums) is ripe for inflammation. If you are eating crappy foods loaded with sugar, these particular microbial colonies thrive in such a situation. There is nothing normal about wearing such a Petri dish over your mouth for hours on end. It has it's own risks that you will never know about, or much less understand, if Dr. Fauci doesn't come on TV and tell you. Try wearing a motorcycle helmet all day with the visor down, and all of your problems will be mitigated. -
That is great. Those are two industries that we agree on that must end despite the obvious short term costs in terms of employment.

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

I'm still not complying. I haven't had the flu for over 25 years. No flu shot. Been around many people with the flu over that time span every year. Call me stubborn as often as you like. Label me whatever you like if helps you. I'll pass on casting labels also. Try to have a little fun my friend. The situation is not as serious as advertised. -
What would you like to see be done here?
Reality Check replied to SDS's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
People need to lighten up and approach conflict with humor and some silliness. There is a little too much seriousness sometimes in terms of people just needing to walk away from each other voluntarily. Name calling and throwing labels around never ends well. Ridicule can be a little more creative and abstract sometimes, and if for nothing else, have something to laugh about. This pandemic has destroyed many people's sense of humor, and if we lose that, then all the more reason for us to kick it on PPP. People have to laugh at their own BS every now and then. If you encounter hateful people, ignoring them is the only option. It's a great feature. I apologize for speaking like a hard core right wing Nazi for suggesting humor when things get to heated. Live long, and prosper... -

I am not bound to the same ideology as you are in this context. "Science" is in a perpetual state of revolution, and scientists are quite often at odds with each other from theory to application. I will leave it at you do what you want to do, and I will not do what I haven't been convinced to do. Masks take away from my handsome face, so that is a nonstarter. Peace! -

On that note, I will leave you to your own ideology while I continue to not comply with this nonsense. I do wish the best though. I want us all to rock and roll again and get back to business with each other, and of course, have fun together again. Peace. -

Your opinions are not based on the science. They are based on the opinions of scientists. A handful of scientists I might add who have a profit motive. You yourself haven't seem to attempted to quantify the situation independently for yourself. -

Try thinking about what he posted for a little while. You can't call it a pandemic when average total annual deaths haven't been affected. -

That's one name, Fauci. Who else? Your faith in bureaucracies composed of billions of dollars in profit motives for its "experts" might be misplaced. -

I can ask you why you are so stubborn, but I won't. Neither one of us is under any obligation to acquiesce to the other. That is the beauty of our Constitutional Republic. I'll disengage with you if you want to stop talking about it with me. We are free men after all. -

Which experts? Which scientists? Do they have names? Are they just the ones approved for national TV stations? -

From a national economic standpoint, how practical is what you are suggesting? How much damage economically, socially, and mentally is required to stop this? -

False. The nanosecond this so called pandemic hit, people should have done an assessment of their personal health and lifestyle trends. Viruses do not get eradicated. Fragments of RNA are everywhere regardless. Only your personal immune system can address these threat appropriately. Hygiene, diet, activity, and mental health are personal means of empowerment. -

I applaud your right to harm yourself. I however, am under no obligation to change my activities to support your self destructive tendencies. The argument that you can sabotage yourself while I am obligated to wear a mask around you to protect your false sense of security is pretty funny. -
The ideologically based media is stuck in a paradox where the more they attack, the more they self destruct. Also, they are a humorless bunch, which makes them quite sad. Humor has profound healing powers.

"We" do not have to remain wary. Learn about what is best to cultivate your own immune system, crack open a book or two on virology, and you will feel much better about the future, while being less inclined to follow dubious narratives based on fear and uncertainty. Chronic inflammation caused by a poor lifestyle is public enemy number one in terms of national health. -

Have you considered having your water checked for lead contamination? You can attempt to mask shame people, but it is a failing narrative. I am under no legal obligation to wear a mask to satisfy people who by and large treat their minds and bodies like trash cans. -

Reality Check replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You mentioned nothing of precautions, nor nothing about personal lifestyle choices that have everything to do with your immune system. You brought up more death statistics and nonsense that has nothing to do with a human being taking responsibility for their own health choices. Going to the supermarket where half of everyone is obese while wearing a mask is a sick joke. People don't want to take any personal responsibility, but seem to think trillions of dollars of government failure compounded annually is the solution.
