It’s amazing that so many people have figured out that the league is rigged yet Vegas is still thriving. I have to assume that you mortgaged your house after the Chiefs got beat by Las Vegas last year and fell to 9-6 so that you could earn a 1500% return on your money. How do the casinos stay in business?

It’s the same reason that the refs decided to flag Toney for lining up Offside but didn’t flag Allen for throwing an illegal forward pass on third and 17 in the playoffs. (I don’t know what that reason is, but I do know it’s all part of the same massive conspiracy.)

Our offense is better in 2024 if 2 guys take a step forward

Wow, I just realized that Ray Davis is 3 months older than Shakir. He’ll be 25 before the bye week. -

Let’s say that Shakir gets twice as many targets and manages to gain twice as many yards and quadruple his touchdowns. That puts him at what Diggs produced last year. Let’s also say that Kincaid gets 20% more targets and increases his yardage by 20% while tripling his touchdowns. That puts him at what Davis produced last year. Now let’s say that there’s still enough targets for Samuel to maintain his production from last year. That puts him at what Shakir produced last year. That leaves Kincaid’s production from last year to be replaced by Coleman just to get back to even. That’s the roadmap. It’s possible, but it’s going to require everything to go perfectly including the backs to still contribute 650+ yards receiving. -
Well Rashee Rice had 900 yards and 7 TDs last season and then went on to set the record for postseason receptions by a rookie. Shakir and Samuel combined had 1200 yards and 6 TDs. Worthy was the 5th WR taken while Coleman was the 8th. Brown’s put up more career catches, yards, and TDs in his 5 year career than Samuel has in his 7 year career. It’s also worth mentioning that Rice, Brown, and Worthy are all different types of WRs whose styles complement one another while Shakir, Samuel, and Coleman are all primarily slot players. The Chiefs’ trio isn’t elite, but they’re average to above average. Vegas has the O/U on passing yards for Mahomes set at 4250 with 32.5 TDs. Josh’s is 3800 and 27. Some of that’s Travis Kelce, but Buffalo throws to their RBs more. If you’re so sure I’m wrong, Vegas is ripe for the picking.

It wasn’t a bad throw. It looked like a bad throw because Coleman pulled up a bit. Now whether he was justified in doing so because it was preseason is a different story, but that’s a ball that needs to be caught when it counts. Coleman was drafted to provide a target with a large catch radius and the strength to win through contact. This is precisely the type of play that encapsulates both. If you’re not a speed guy and you’re not a separation guy, then you’d better use your size and strength to make that catch.

Yes by a significant margin. To address the OP, Treylon Burks, Jahan Dotson, Terrace Marshall, and Laviska Shenault are all potential reclamation projects that could likely be had for a reasonable price.

Rodgers was 28 when he won the Super Bowl.

If you could get a day 2 pick for Cook would you pull the trigger…
Billl replied to julian's topic in The Stadium Wall
You can massage the stats any number of ways, but the reality is that he’s a pretty good back who got a lot of yards between the 20s. He also had more fumbles and fewer TDs than any other player who was in the top 20 of yards per scrimmage. None of that really matters though. The biggest reason he was so high on the list for RBs is that very few teams give their backs that many touches anymore. 20 years ago, he’d have been middle of the pack amongst RBs with that yardage total. That he was as high on the list last year is as much a feature of his touches relative to the rest of the league as anything else. He’s got one year left before he’s going to want an extension. If there was a team desperate enough to offer a day 2 pick for him, you take it and run. There were no RBs taken in the first round of this year’s draft and only 4 taken on day 2. Cook’s good, but he’s not elite. Good RBs are easily replaceable. -
I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

Courtland Sutton is a bottom end #1 WR at best. The rest are all practice squad quality. Mims is a really good return guy, but he’s not a WR. -

The Broncos might have worse WRs than the Bills. -
Nobody was going to give up a pick high enough for the Bills to land one of the big 3. If someone picked 28th or later winds up being a stud, that’s when there will be some noise.
-
Doesn’t count because preseason. Detroit was vanilla on special teams.
-
What would it take for you to give credit to another team? Would a behind the back pass impress you? Possible dead hookers and stolen nuclear secrets as well.
-
Completely insufferable. There’s a sizable faction of fans who feel like no other player can ever be acknowledged as long as Mahomes exists. I’m biased towards Patrick as well, but I understand that other players can be great as well.
-
It’s because a lot of fans seem to think that nobody else is allowed to have good players. If someone admits that Williams might be talented, somehow it’s an insult to Josh, Patrick, etc.

Most of the Bills' injuries have been on defense...Why is that?
Billl replied to mannc's topic in The Stadium Wall
Seems like the Linebackers get injured the most, though. That and McDermott and/or Beane tend to favor older players on defense. The non-Linebackers who have been hurt have largely been older players. Tre being an obvious exception. -

I’ve said this for two years. They utilize a scheme that relies on two undersized Linebackers who have to play sideline to sideline. They get to shine by making a ton of plays, but that comes at a price. For as many plays as Milano makes, he leads the NFL in missed tackles since he’s been in the league. When you’re in that role, you make a lot of plays, you miss a lot of plays, and you take a lot of lumps. -
Vegas has their win total at 9.5 with the juice favoring the over, so they’re expected to be 10-7. The odds in terms of how far they advance put the implied probability around 40% - miss the playoffs, 33% - win the division, 27% wildcard.

I like Kincaid as a player, but it seemed like most of his catches were dump offs where he leaked out to the flats. He had 29 first downs on 73 receptions, less than 40% with 2 TDs. That’s more of a “reliable option” than a “weapon” in the passing game. That doesn’t mean he can’t become a true weapon, but it’s not at all how he was used last year. He had a 51 yard catch against New England in week 17 last year. He averaged 8.6 yards per reception on his other 72 catches for the season. -
There is a lot of truth to this. I think voters get bored of voting for previous winners and would like to find a reason to give it to someone else. Josh is one of the best QBs without an MVP (others include Brees, Roethlisberger, Aikman, and Staubach). If it’s close, I wouldn’t be surprised if Josh gets it.
-
Literally nobody has criticized Josh for running too much. The criticisms have been directed at the OCs for putting him in a position where he had to run so much.
