  1. Nice interview with Knox and Chris Long.

Favorite was discussion about Josh .. only way they got him to slide in a game is a player told him he would show up at a walk-through in a jock strap if he did it.

Great discussion in general. Conversation with him starts at 38:39

  2. Josh will be hurt this year and likely every year by a few things.

    1) The Bills will always play in some rougher weather games than any other quarterback and that will hurt the stats (completions due to wind taking the ball, slippery footballs that are dropped, etc.)

    2) He is not a risk averse quarterback. he takes chances which often result in ridiculous (no Josh, no Josh, YES Josh plays) but also leads to more turnover worthy plays. This leads to the adrenaline rush Josh takes that stand out in the voters minds.

I am certain he will win an MVP or two over his career, but I would not wager on which year that would be. I think he has no shot this year.  He will be in the top 5, but unlikely in the top 2.

I would love to see him win it this year, but having a QB that is always in the conversation means we have a team that is always in contention. I vividly remember being in my basement with my son, who had never seen the Bills in the playoffs and us backing in in 2017 .. it was such a huge relief, but it felt like a one-off.  The team is now belittled for this and that while holding an 11-3 record which is good for tops in the AFC .. with wins over all the other top 9 AFC teams except the Bengals who we play next week and the Chargers who we will not play. Two of the key victories coming on the road at KC and at Balt.

Go Bills and fingers crossed for a big swing toward Josh in the MVP race.

Probably because he got tomahawk chopped on the same arm when he was strip sacked.

If you watch the play, after the tomahawk he also gets spun to the ground and hits with his right elbow. This is not a great view of it, but was the best I could find.

    Chicago Bears INJURIES

RB Khalil Herbert has been designated to return from injured reserve and has returned to practice.

WR Chase Claypool (knee) was listed as limited in Tuesday's walk-through

    WR N'Keal Harry (back) full

WR Equanimeous St. Brown (concussion) DNP

OL Teven Jenkins is back at the team facility and considered day to day after being carted off with a neck injury against the Eagles on Sunday, per head coach Matt Eberflus.

LB Jack Sanborn (ankle) is being placed on injured reserve and his season is now over, per Eberflus.

The big impacts would be Tevon Jenkins their starting RG and Jack Sanborn who took over the starting middle linebacker role when Roquan Smith was traded. In the 5 games where he started and finished (got hurt against the Eagles so did not count) he had 53 tackles and 2 sacks with a fumble recovery. He appears not not be used at all agianst tha pass as he has zero passes defenced. In addition of his tackles 33 were solo during that 5 game period which would place him 3rd overall in the NFL.

I'm pretty sure he gets huge bonuses of he hits 100 catches in a season. He's currently at 99. There's the context.

The odds of him not getting one catch in the next three games is negligible. I doubt that is his motivation. He cheered them on .. likely reading too much into it.

Does anybody care that Beasley dissed on the Bills and their fans?

As a Bills fan, cheering for players that I actually like means something.  This signing sucks!!!

And if they sign 'Diva' OBJ, I would be even more pissed!!!

It's like selling your soul to the devil.  Not worth it to me!

I don't think you write off people who in an emotional time dissed on you. Otherwise I would have no family or friends in my life. Most people say things that in retrospect they regret, and he expressed that regret. He was like the prodigal son in the Bible .. at some point he realized .. I had it so good in Sean McDermott's house .. let me see if he will take me back even if it is just to be on the practice squad. Sean's reaction .. all is forgiven you have a role in this family.

  6. Sporting news playoff situation after Bills 13th game in 2021.

    7. Buffalo Bills (7-6), second place, AFC East. The Bills finally showed some fight again in rallying to push the Buccaneers to overtime in Tampa , but they still couldn't rebound in Week 14, losing again after falling in another close game to the Patriots to close Week 13 on Monday night. They cling to the last playoff spot over the same-record Browns, Bengals and Broncos. Remaining schedule: vs. CAR, at NE, vs. ATL, NYJ.

Would I like them to be blowing teams out .. 100%, will I take the dub .. 100%.

    I like their current position!

  7. Lamar to miss this week and most likely next week due to his PCL sprain

    https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/12/11/report-lamar-jackson-likely-to-miss-next-week-return-christmas-eve/

if they only lose one of the next two they will still control their own destiny, once Lamar is back, as it relates to the AFC North .. since they beat the Bengals already and play them the last week of the season. I would prefer the Ravens win the division as the Bengals to me are the bigger threat.

Good to know we spent a 1st round pick on a DB that can only play in certain situations/schemes/gameplans/etc.

And people wonder why I question this GM and coaching staff so much....

Good teams draft people with high ceilings and coach them up … they drafted Elam knowing there would be a transition. If we went with first year evaluations Baker Mayfield would be a star and Josh would be a bust.
