Maybe I'm off, but when I look at the grades, I don't look at them individually.  I only look at them to compare. So 47.2 means nothing individually,  but if you compare 2 players at the same position and one is at 70 and the other at 50, it does give an idea of who played better. 🤔

The problem is as pointed out in the article the grade is made without the context of knowing what the players assignment was on the various plays. If the grader guesses the assignment correctly the scoring would be fine, but in many cases they are in fact just guessing so comparing grades would not work

  2. Details how Raiders players moved away from caring about these site’s grades when they realized it didn’t align with how their coaches were grading them based on the analytics site not understanding what their actual responsibilities were on a given play.

I know this has been debated back and forth (especially given Lewan’s contention that players pay to increase their ratings, but the part about the graders not really understanding the individual’s responsibilities on a given play hit home to me.

are josh and pat not also doing #1?

Actually no .. Josh averages $43 million per year over 6 years; Pat is $45 million per year over 10 years. In several years they will both be huge bargains.

Rodgers is $50 million per year for 3 years. One can do a lot with an extra $5 -$7 million in cap to work with.

  4. Aaron is indicating that his teammates are making too many mistakes and those that are should be benched for others.

    1) if he didn’t monopolize their salary cap .. perhaps they could have a more talented roster perhaps who made less mistakes.

    2) He comes off as a “you guys” person .. hard to want to give all you have for a guy like that. In contrast Pat and Josh are more “us guys”.

    3) this should be an internal discussion. Now the team will be scrutinized to determine if people can figure out who Aaron is talking about. A total needless distraction.

    4) Aaron has been bad this year .. look in the mirror first.

    So happy we have Josh

  5. I expect they will be favored in all remaining games except maybe Cindy.

Assuming they lose no more games

    - nothing HF is theirs

    assuming they lose 1 game

    - the Jets, Cindy, and the Chargers need to lose 1 game

assuming they lose 2 games ( my expectation)

    - Jets, Bengals, and Chargers would have to lose 2 games ( obviously depends on head to head matchup … this is worst case), the Dolphins, Pats, Colts, Titans, Chiefs would have to lose 1 game.

11 loses throughout the season across those teams seems inevitable... it is encouraging how good their odds are currently

Not your normal football guy stuff…

Coy Wire asked Devin what story he could tell about Josh that shows why he is a special teammate ““After the game… He gave me a big hug… and told me… ‘I love you more than you know.’ As guys, we don’t usually say that to each other…. That’s real love.” Devin Singletary on Josh Allen after ⁦

    @BuffaloBills victory over #Chiefs.

I know the price looks like a lot, but is it really more than the Bills 1st and Moss?   I'd have been a happy camper to have CMC for that.

Didn't it take a 4th for the Bills to move up 3-4 spots in the first.  San Fran will have a low 2nd and low 3rd.  It seems like all those picks combined might equal the Bills 1st.

It is also the $ if by getting a CMC we can’t keep a Poyer or a Gabe Davis .. that has to be taken into account

  8. I used to start thinking about the draft many years during the drought when it was clear we were yet again not making the playoffs.  Now I focus on the upcoming games and playoff positioning. It is a great time to be a Bills fan.

BTW no issue with you looking ahead. That is your thing and that is cool too.

    (14) Ron Canniff on Twitter: "Bills fans do realize Miami has Josh Allen figured out right. And they’re gonna lose again on December 18th." / Twitter

Yeah they limited him to 400 yds passing and 47 yards rushing while his teammates dropped like flies from the heat. I wonder how they propose making our sideline so hot in Buffalo?

I never said Mahomes. I also said back when they were drafted. Allen was a raw talent that needed time to develop.  BB NOW doesn’t have patience let a QB develop.

Now he may not have the patience for Jones if healthy. When asked he would not commit that Mac Jones would start even if healthy. Is it possible he gets Bledsoe?

as for Josh .. how many opposing locker rooms has Bill home in to personally congratulate the opposing QB.. I am guessing very few.

Pretty sure Edmunds played Ravens and they scored 20. Hyde and White have been out. What are you reaching for?

Are you saying the Ravens with Lamar are comparable to the Steelers? Also keep in mind 10 of the Ravens points were set up by very short fields due to turnover. From a statistics perspective the sample size is too small to make any logical conclusions… but I get the sense that is not what you are striving for anyway.

  13. Buffalo Bills PR

“#RoundingUpTheHerd: Sean McDermott and Leslie Frazier have faced a rookie QB 11 times (regular season + playoffs) since 2017. In those match-ups, the rookie QBs have recorded a 59.5 passer rating while throwing seven TDs to 17 interceptions.”

This  will help me sleep better tonight
