  1. This is so Belechickian … our new practice squad WR was only released from his previous practice squad role on Tuesday .. his previous team … the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had been with them since September 7. I am certain that we will not use his knowledge of the Steelers to our advantage :). Nice one McBeane.

Heck you can even buy a Jaquarii Roberson #6 Pittsburgh Steelers jersey if you are one of those twisted types

Honestly in my opinion it is a story. The guy is small 5’7 or so right? He has short arms. He is more vulnerable to fumbling than a guy 5’10 or taller. He is also considerably shorter than your average NFL RB don’t you think? He fumbled and lost it once last week and almost did again. I love the guy but I’m just stating facts here

some other facts .. 1) He has 1 fumble this year the same as virtually every other RB in the league.  2) Over his career he has the Bills have actually lost the ball only three times due to a fumble by Singletary. I think this is a non-issue.

  3. Mike Tomlin answers why Von Miller is able to keep playing at a high level and other interesting takes

Favorite quote "We talk about his talents often," Tomlin said. "But this guy is a scientist. He works at his craft. He encourages, trains others to do so that are like him“

tou can see this in our younger guys. Even if he doesn’t make it to the end of his contract .. his work developing the younger guys will pay dividends for years to come

Your post makes zero sense.  First, we weren't missing 11 starters.  Second, all I was saying is other teams have injuries too and not all injuries or missing players are the same.

Technically you are correct .. we were down 5 starters and 2 backups (one got hurt during the game) on defense. 1 starter on the oline with 2 other starters going down in game along with a backup. Then 2 starting WRs and our starting TE in and out in the 2nd half due to heat issues, but not technically out. So by the end of the game 8 starters out (36%) 3 limited (roughly 14%) and 3 backups. That is catastrophic to any team in a single game .. ignoring the heat effects on the players that did not go down

The Steelers are extremely well coached. Much better than the Bills.  This game is not a gimme. My biggest concern is overlooking this game because of the Chiefs the following week.  I think people are going to realize we have flaws that the injuries and weather excuses have been covering.

    1) We can't run the ball   2) We lack consistency.   This is the game to get on track.

Mrs. Tomlin .. please stop posting in this Bills forum. It has to be embarrassing for your husband.

    Per Sean McDermott today

“When speaking with the media on Monday after Buffalo's 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Bills head coach Sean McDermott did not say if they will elect to do that this week with White. He says that White "continues to improve" and "we'll get him back out there when he's ready."

Doesn’t sound near-term to me but I might be reading into it.

Just wanted to ask other than Crowder who is probably IR bound with broken ankle and McKenzie in concussion protocol,

were there any others with the exception of bumps and bruises?

I can't remember any more.  Of course, I got "thirsty" during the game and may have missed something else.

Looking forward to maybe getting some more "walking wounded" back this week.  I'm confused on who those guys could be.

You might still be hung over .. we played the Ravens not the Titans (title needs adjusting). Poyer had X-rays after  the game but seems fine

  8. 4 hot quarterbacks played in the remnants of IAN.

    Jalen Hurts - 16/25 - 204 yds 0 Tds, 1 Int; 16 rushes 38 yds and 1 rushing TD

Trevor Lawrence - 11/23 - 174 yds 2 Tds, 1 Int; 2 rushes 7 yds  - not in MVP discussion but he was trending way up

    Lamar Jackson - 20/29 144 yds 1 TD and 2 Int; 11 rushes for 73 yds

    Josh Allen - 19/36 213 yds  1 TD 1 Int; 11 rushes for 70 yds and 1 TD

Josh clearly outplayed the other three based on stats. The problem is most QBs don't have multiple horrendous weather games so when people loo at the stats at the end of the season he will likely have less than some others. Just the nature of being in Buffalo. on the flip side it helps our defense look better.

I suspect at the end of the year the MVP will come from the grouping of Mahomes, Lamar, Josh, and Hurts.

Time for Coach McDermott and Josh Allen to win a one (1) score game.

2018 The Bills were 3-3 in one score games

    2019 The Bills were 4-5

2020 The Bills were 5-1 (the one loss was Hail Murray

    2021 The Bills were 0-5

Josh also has 8 4Q comebacks which is a greater percentage per year played then Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes, or Jackson.

To me this past year has just been a weird statistical anomaly as he has proven he can win close games

Bills fans' constant need for attention never ceases to amaze me.

    This may take the cake.

    Holy crap.

Maybe some of the people are looking for attention and maybe some just like to feel like they are part of something bigger that is good. If you do not want to give, no problem, but why judge people's intentions when you do not actually know them. I personally have not given to one of these Bills pop-up charitable things, because my wife and I have certain charities that we are passionate about that we give significantly to. I am happy with what I do, and these people perhaps are happy with what they do. Criticizing people helping others (for whatever their internal motivations are) does not seem to be a good use of time.

If they are truly the SB favorite they won't lose tomorrow, they will overcome the injuries, Allen takes over the game, yadda.

I don't see that happening however.

Because Super Bowl favorites / Champions always go undefeated, especially against talented teams on the road? Great teams lose to other teams every year .. one win or lose does not anoint or eliminate them. It certainly would help with home field tiebreakers.

Singletary is the slowest back in the league. It's time to face facts.

I suspected you were not accurate in your statement .. so I looked up the 40 times from the last 5 drafts for RBs that I know contribute to their teams … and Singletary had the slowest 40 time at 4.66 with the next worse being Ronald Jones and Zach Moss at 4.65. Obviously that is not a true indicator of game speed … but you were not wrong

The OP said his performance against the Miami Dolphins today was an "MVP performance".

    Not hardly.

As for whether he might win the MVP........sure.........but you are barking up the wrong tree.........that wasn't what I was responding to.

I think when you look across the league the only 2 performances of people with a shot at the MVP that will be viewed as potentially better than Josh’s would be Lamar and Jalen Hurts. If you include what Josh was dealing with it might be a push .. but I suspect Josh gained distance on the field except those two. He threw for 400 yds at 66% completion percentage on 63 throws inside a sauna with half a scab oline and hurting receivers. This game did not damage his MVP candidacy at all.

  14. On Thursday, the Miami Dolphins held their second practice of the week in anticipation of their Sunday afternoon battle with the Buffalo Bills.

Three players who didn’t participate on Wednesday – offensive tackle Terron Armstead (toe) and tight ends Cethan Carter (concussion) and Hunter Long (ankle) – remained out for practice on Thursday.

However, cornerback Xavien Howard (groin) was upgraded to a limited participant. He joined wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. (ribs/toe) and defensive lineman Raekwon Davis (knee) as the only players that were limited. Davis was a full participant on Wednesday.

Linebacker Channing Tindall (illness) was upgraded to a full participant on Thursday, joining tight end Tanner Conner (knee) and fullback Alec Ingold (shoulder).

Removed from the list completely was linebacker Melvin Ingram, who got his normal veteran rest day on Wednesday.

Armstead’s status is probably the most concerning, considering he’s been dealing with this toe injury for over a week now and played through it in Week 2. Hopefully, he didn’t aggravate the injury to the point that he can’t go on Sunday.
