Sure, you can have that, provided you put posts regurgitating random tweets from random reporters retweeting stats and studies that elicit the vomitus reaction there too.

Sounds like a great idea, though it would change the name of the post to "Damar Hamlin and my random analysis of his condition + uninformed reporters and their unproven stats"

  2. Can we have a separate thread for arm chair and even actual doctors who are not treating Damar where they can post their studies / opinions that may or may not have anything to do with Damar's case. The doctor's treating him haven't even stated the cause yet.

It can be called "Damar Hamlin and my random analysis of his condition". We could then have this one be updates that come from people that are actually close to his case as well as the good stories about who he is and how he has impacted people. It would prevent wading through 16 new pages made up of 50% people puking on others best guesses as to what is wrong with Damar.

The Syracuse men’s basketball game against Louisville tonight has been moved from ESPNU to ESPNews. The move comes as ESPN reshuffles its lineup of shows across its many platforms to accommodate an expanded edition of SportsCenter (6:00 - 8:00 pm). Much of the SportsCenter news program will focus on the status of Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin, who suffered a cardiac arrest during Monday night’s game against Cincinnati and remains hospitalized.

  4. Damar's GoFundMe has been updated:

"**UPDATE: This fundraiser was initially established to support a toy drive for Damar’s community, sponsored by the Chasing M’s Foundation.

However, it has received renewed support in light of Damar’s current battle and we can’t thank all of you enough. Your generosity and compassion mean the world to us.

If you would like to show your support and contribute to Damar’s community initiatives and his current fight, this is the place to do so. This is the only current fund that is being used by the Hamlin Family.

Again, thank you for your thoughts, prayers and generous support during this time."

"Damar created The Chasing M’s Foundation to use as a vehicle to bring lasting impact to his community. The foundation supports toy drives, back-to-school drives, kids camps, and more. UPDATE**

As I embark on my journey to the NFL, I will never forget where I come from and I am committed to using my platform to positively impact the community that raised me. I created The Chasing M's Foundation as a vehicle that will allow me to deliver that impact, and the first program is the 2020 Community Toy Drive.

This campaign gives you the opportunity to contribute to our first initiative and positively impact children who have been hardest hit by the pandemic. 100% of the funds raised will go toward the purchase of toys for kids in need.  The time to act is now, as we will be distributing toys on December 22nd from 3:30 to 5:30 PM from Kelly and Nina's Daycare Center at 800 Russellwood Ave., McKees Rocks, PA 15136. "

I know there was some back and forth on this, but this seems to confirm this is the correct place to donate to show support.

    The real issues at play:

-first and foremost Hamlins health. Poor optics rushing to solution mode over this game the next couple of days. Not relatively important versus his health status.

-players really shaken up about what happened and lack of clarity on Hamlin’s health for several days makes it very difficult to ask then to restart this week.

-logistical nightmare to push back playoffs

A no contest is the logical decision IMO. The downside is basically seeding only. KC getting gifted the 1 is lousy but this best addresses the issues.

Cincy has beaten KC 3 times in a row. The Bills would have done the same except a 13 second brain fart. Let them have the one seed (if the Raiders don't beat them). I think the Chiefs are the third best team in the AFC and it will likely be proven in the playoffs.

  6. I may have missed if this was already posted, but this is a video of Damar talking about how they were able to keep going after the scary Dane Jackson injury.

Bottom-line was he needed reassurance from Dane that he was okay. The CPR, defribulator, and the lack of ability of DamR to say it’s okay made this very different.

definitely praying for positive news. As Damar stated life is bigger than football

I get what you’re saying… but this is quite different. His teammates and coaches watched him receive CPR on the field and he’s fighting for his life.

It’s not 1 person processing their grief. 53+ players and an entire staff have to process this grief… and if they even want to step on the field again. Rightfully so.

I think this is why it was so shocking for the players and the announcers. They have seen players with serious injuries, even career ending injuries, but to see someone receiving CPR and having medical personnel using a defibrillator on the field .. that they have never seen and that is what I think truly is the difference. They all realized this was life and death.

Even if we lose to Cincy that Bengals/Baltimore week 18 game is still important.

Assuming the Chiefs win out the 2 seed would be in play.  We'd much rather have 2 home games than 1 and another likely trip to Cincinnati in round 2

It is only important if the Ravens beat the Steelers, hence why that is a key game this week

There is no rooting interest other than our own. This is playoff football right now they NEED to win every game. That is the difference between 1st seed and 3rd seed.

If we win both obviously it is moot what happens in other games, but if we do lose to Cincy .. the rooting interests (Baltimore and Denver very much come into play

Bills win on Monday they are the 1 seed. Lose we are 3. Just win baby. It's as simple as that.

They can still get the one even if they lose .. they would just need help including from the Ravens

KC is not losing to the Broncos or Raiders. The only game that matters are Bills games. They are going to have to win these last two for the #1 seed.

The Chiefs lost to the Colts and easily could have lost to the Texans. It is unlikely but not impossible for them to lose one of those games.

  10. There are three very important games for the Bills and then some that are nice to haves.

    1) Bills vs Bengals .. obviously

    2) Steelers at Baltimore - need Baltimore to win to make the following weeks game a win for the AFC North title. In the event that  the Bengals beat the Bills this provides the only other way the Bills could hold on to the one seed. Would need a loss by the Chiefs in one of their last two games. Regardless if Baltimore wins out and the Bills win one we are at worst the 2 seed. Basically sets up a reverse scenario of 2017 needing the Ravens to beat the Bengals.

    3) Denver at Chiefs .. sigh .. the Chiefs are catching some massive breaks.

    other games

    4) Jets at Seattle. The Jets D is tough .. I do not want to see them in the playoffs.

    5) Dolphins at Patriots. I would like to see the Dolphins in this one as it may give the Pats less reason to put up a fight in the last game … as they would be eliminated from playoff contention

Would be interested in other thoughts on games of importance.

If you’re the Colts do you just start handing off every play?

    Queue the Benny Hill music.

I hope so .. in desperation I picked up Zack Moss for my semi-finals in fantasy football. I am down by 2 and the other guy has Ekeler .. likely screwed but here is hoping the Colts follow your strategy

i would love to know what was going through the minds of every Dolphins fan and executive when Chubb couldn’t even close the gap between him and Josh on that sideline throw just before the half.

I know what was going through Bills fans minds … no Josh, no Josh, no Josh …. YES Josh!!!!!!
