I like trading down, but there's no way Beane will trade down. He'll either trade up or stay put. Trade up if there's a guy they rate really high who fills a perceived need. That's like there's a guy at 22 who they rated 12. Something like that.
Or they'll take someone at 30? Why? Because there will almost certainly be someone they rated around 20 available then. Why? Well, because quarterbacks are so highly valued, some teams will take QBs who aren't really rated as first rounders but who are too valuable to them to pass on. Plus, teams rate players differently. Plus, there are some really talented guys, first round talent, that don't have the character, the emotional makeup that McBeane are looking for, and those guys aren't on Beane's board at all. The result of all of that is that by 30, some guys McBeane really like will still be there.
Completely agree. Some act as if every teams board is the same. The boards are going to be different for a variety of reasons as stated. There will be someone available at 30 for Beane who may be 20 on his board but 35 on another team’s.
I really think he stays at 30.

We don't want the Bills to draft Etienne but what will we be saying if the Pats, Fins or Jets get him?
Good luck watching the playoffs from your couch?

Great video. Particularly liked at the end when he said “thank you it was wonderful to have you”. Seems like a very neat young man.

This made me laugh. I guess it's true that the picks helped in the Diggs trade, but it's not like the Diggs trade wouldn't have happened if the Bills hadn't made the Teller trade.
I don't think the Teller trade was a disaster or to use your word, a "fail," but it IS amusing the extent to which people will go to defend Beane. I think Beane has been excellent, but nobody gets them all right. If Beane had a chance to undo that one, I'm sure he would.
Mickey Mantle struck out once in a while, and so does Beane.
True that no one is perfect, but Beane is the best in the business, as voted on by his peers.

Some really stupid football being played. Why would the returner not use up the 5 seconds.

Run it in Aaron?
If that was Josh, it’s a TD. He had half the field.

Brady has zero ability to prolong a play.

Brady’s receivers are killing him today.
That was a horrible pass. Nobody catches that pass. He was lucky just to get a fingertip on it.

Yet another bad pass by Brady.

If GB scores here Tampa is in trouble.

Anyone who equates mafia with a criminal organization is a fool?
Anyone who equates “Bills Mafia” with the criminal organization is a fool. Come on, you know what we’re talking about.

Our opponents certainly don’t mind the name. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/30738114/baltimore-ravens-lamar-jackson-shouts-bills-mafia-donating-360000-charity

Mafia is derived from ma familia which means my family. Really it’s about family. Anyone who equates it with the actual criminal organization is a fool.

Thanks for the awesome write up and stadium perspective.

Gotta catch it when it’s in your hands.

Loved how Michaels said he never misses from that distance.

Solid D by the Rams linebacker.

It does not say explicitly but It is obviously total fumbles not fumbles on rush plays. The percentages are ridiculously high and would be totally unaccepatable.
Well, you could argue that on many fumbles in the pocket the QB didn’t tuck the ball properly so it’s really hard to differentiate.

He’s tied for 7th in most fumbles. It’s a problem and needs to get better. It’s his only glaring weakness.
Disagree. You need to look at the rate of fumbles. It’s like saying a QB who threw 3 interceptions out of 300 throws is worse than a QB who threw 2 picks in 10 throws. Josh is required to run much much more than most QB’s. It’s about as bad as the accuracy narrative.

I’d be shocked if Ben comes back next year. He’s a punch drunk fighter just hanging on at this point.

Yes, just mentioned that Wilson looks like he’s 12 years old.
