I'm guessing the Bills wanted either Worthy or Legette, and figured one of them would be available at 32. Worthy is very fast but not all speed guys turn into great receivers.
Actually, most speed guys don’t turn into great receivers.

First KC comments I read were along the lines of "Worthy would have been there at 32 - would rather have taken Mitchell."
Might be a chess move by Beane. Won't know for some time.
Worthy would definite been there at 32. So the Bills got extra compensation and didn’t give the Chiefs anything they wouldn’t have gotten anyway. I don’t understand those who are against this, unless you thought the Bills should have drafted Worthy, which would have been a big mistake.

Could they draft Diggs replacement yeah sure. They will be better than right now but I don't see where they improve significantly. They have no cap room to go out and get a Higgins or high end guy.
They don’t have to improve “significantly”. They were one dropped Diggs pass, or a missed FG from possibly winning the SB. They will be a favorite again next year.

What even IS a "fake slide"? A running QB isn't allowed to hesitate or move laterally, they just need to run straight forward at full speed or be flagged?
The only way you could have a “fake slide” is where the QB goes down on a knee just above the field and then gets up and continues to run. Problem is at that point the play would be called dead.

As a wise man once said “it’s more about the Jimmys and the Joes rather than the X’s and O’s”.

Why is it dumb? It makes sense to me.
Because it allows the D to get a “free” timeout by causing a penalty.
1 hour ago, Jukester said:But we didn’t decline it. We accepted the penalty and the extra 5 yards was added to the end of the run as someone else explained above.
Yes, and the reason it was accepted is because the clock stops regardless. The rule allows the D to get what is essentially a timeout by causing a penalty.

Bills are going to need to win period. Odds are Jags and Steelers will both win.
Actually, those aren’t the odds. The odds favor either the Jags or Steelers losing. That’s why the odds give the Bills 85% chance of making the playoffs.

How is this QB in the NFL???
He’s really bad, but they are winning by 2 touchdowns thanks to Mahomes.

These offenses are garbage.
KC’s offense has been garbage all year. Their D has kept them in games.

Chiefs have an amazing -18 yards of offense thru the first quarter. Can you imagine what this place would be like if the Bills had that pathetic showing?

Exactly, we are really splitting hairs here. You can listen to his presser. I'm sure he's pissed at the Bills. But I'm also pretty sure he knows they had no choice and he's pissed at what kind of society allows that to happen. I can't imagine dealing with something like this as an adult, let alone a kid, especially at the stakes he was playing.
Agreed. He’s more pissed at social media and those who prejudge without any evidence. We’ve seen many of these false accusations and he’s clearly not happy that someone can just make up sh** and ruin someone’s livelihood.

Mark it down. The Bills will win the East.

Yep, that was a catch. Took 3 steps with the ball and they called it complete on the field.

Look, we'd all be pissed too. Problem is the refs didn't know it was going to be an insane, perfectly executed TD when Toney was Offside.
And it's not like it was an iffy call either. He was clearly past the ball. It's just a lame penalty to kill what would've been a hell of a play.
With that said, I'd still be pretty upset if I were McDermott. Sure you're relieved they shot themselves in the foot, but you nearly blew yet ANOTHER close game where you had a lead in the final 2 minutes.
Nothing you did saved the game. Toney saved the game. Hopefully next week you'll be better prepared. 🙏
Totally disagree. The Bills then stopped Mahomes 3 straight plays. The Bills won the game. Why do people come on here and pi** and moan after a win, on the road against a good team? I don’t get it.

Pretty amazing with all the penalties and no calls against the Eagles the Bills are up 10. That’s simply because we have Josh Allen and they don’t.

Another surprise?
The Bills D is now 4th in scoring in the NFL and is allowing fewer points per game and yards per game than the D last year that was ranked 1st or 2nd.
Even with all the defensive injuries, this team is still extremely good on D...seems kinda crazy a top 5 scoring D and top 7 scoring O is only 6-5.
That’s what leading the league in TO’s will do.

Yep, he sure showed it against that vaunted Broncos D.

Tua doesn’t even attempt to keep plays alive. As soon as he sees pressure he falls to the ground.

You NEVER hand the ball 3 yards deep from the 1/2 yard line. When will they ever learn?

Yes there were. In fact there was a lot more then a lot of fans want to acknowledge. Here's a couple:
In 1991, the Bills best offense of the Super Bowl years lost at NE 16 - 13. The Bills were 10 - 1 and the Pats 3 - 8 when that game was played. Kelly threw 4 INT's.
In 1992, the 5 - 2 Bills hosted the 0 - 7 Pats at Rich Stadium. At halftime the Bills were trailing 7 - 0 and Kelly had thrown 2 INT's. The fans booed the Bills off the field. I know this because I was at the game. The Bills came back and won it 16 - 7.
In 1988, the 11 -2 Bills lost to the 3 - 10 TB Bucs at Tampa 10 - 5. The Bills trailed 10 - 2 late in the 4th quarter.
A there are a lot more.
For those that appreciate the history of the Bills I highly recommend Sal Maiorana's Relentless. This book as every box score from 1960 through the 1993 season.
It’s called recency bias. People only seem to remember what’s happened in the last game played.

All they know is a 40 time and think everything revolves around that. This is a good pick. The Bills got the guy they wanted and also gained some compensation through trades.
