Yeah, I don't think we should eliminate Josh's role as a runner. He's too valuable. But he's not valuable if he gets hurt. So I think Dorsey should not call any designed QB runs in most regular season games. We should save Josh-the-runner for big games/playoffs.
I know people keep saying he should run less because of risk of injury, but I find it interesting that his only injuries as a pro have come when he wasn’t running but in the pocket.

Then why do they get credit when a late round pick is successful?
Because it is rare.

When the Bills throws to a tight end more then 5 times per game it's time for a big ass party.
He won’t be playing the classic TE position. He’ll be more of a slot receiver. With that said there is very little chance of him breaking 1000 yards. If he gets 600 with 6 TDS I’d be very happy.

He's going to be the backup
At best he gets 40% of the carries with Pierce as the starter.

That's the one thing I noticed from the comments of Pats fans online. In general, they didn't do the usual "he was no good anyway" thing that fans do when they lose a player. They generally thought this was a great pick up for the Bills.
But they said he was a clear indicator of a running play when he was in, since he is not much of a pass catcher.
Actually his pass catch rate when thrown to was quite high. It’s just that the Pats used him as a runner more than pass catcher. I suspect he’ll see a few more passes his way as a Bill.

I'd be amazed if Beane would risk blowing the deal and losing out on a guy he wanted (Harris) over the possibility of getting the 105th pick in the draft.
Exactly. This was a no brainer deal. They needed a big short yardage back and they got a good one. Last year our big back was Josh. Frankly, to resign Motor already having Cook and Hines as speed smaller speed backs would have been malpractice.

Sheeesh. What a break there for the Bill's! I'd be pissed if I were a Bengals fan
Why? He clearly didn’t control the ball until after he was out of bounds. Good call.

Incomplete. He needs to take 2 steps and make a football move. He lost it almost immediately.

I thought Roman put an outstanding game plan together against the Bengals. They were undermanned and really moved the ball. But for a fluke play late in the game they probably win.

Followed up on The Herd with Colin Cowherd stating “cincinatti will blow them out”
interesting comments and commentary consistently flowing from FS1 media personnel
He said only IF the Bengals didn’t have the injuries on the O line. He’s picking the Bills to win now.

He was getting pressured a LOT also and I'm sure that didn't help any at all
Yes, but he has zero ability to avoid a rush. He should retire.

I always feel bad for kickers. I know they get paid & all that - but what a lonely job.
Only lonely when they miss.

Yep hope there's a chip on their shoulders.
One big one by Waddell early (the other was broken up). Others were short throws. This was a 54 yard completion to the 15.
Not to mention the TD drop by Knox ( which I still believe was a TD).

More money on the Bills. I think it stays around here. Analytics say the Bills are the better team.

7 points from a fumble, so we are down to 24. 1 touchdown drive started on the Bills 18, 2 field goal drives for them started on the Bills side of the field (one already in field goal range), the other field goal drive started at the 40…so yes, I still think the defense played well
Agreed. They only gave up 230 total yards. Dolphins had 1 long drive the entire game. I really wonder if people actually watch the games.

Every other opponent is definitely NOT inferior....in fact, the next 3 teams we play (if we get that far) can all beat us badly if we don't play our "A" game.
But I agree, not beating ourselves is the key; that's just another way of saying "stop playing sloppy football."
The problem is we've been doing that for like 8 games now.Yet we’ve won each game. What does that say for our opponents?

How do you not bet Cinci hard at +5?!?
Well then go ahead and bet it. There’s a reason why the line is where it is. These guys who make the lines are no dummies.

The TV broadcasters keep mentioning that the Yellow Line on TV is NOT the official Down marker line. The only thing that is correct is the Chain and Down Marker.
Exactly, you’d think people would be smart enough to realize that fact, but I guess it’s too much to ask.

QB?
Ravens have the worst receiving group in the NFL.

Bengals got a lucky one. Ravens were destroying them on the ground. Should have just given to a back.

Yes, that one. The game also came down to the wire against a 3rd string QB. The Bengals have weapons for days and Burrow is infinitely better than Skyler. If we get into a shootout with the Bengals then any mistake or wasted drive can essentially cost you the game.Yea, they’ve put up a whopping 17 points so far into the 4th quarter.

Awesome interview. This is the “behind the scenes” stuff that is very interesting.
