  1. Not illegal to tackle a ballcarrier, but if it was germane to the play and he held it for another second, they could have called him for holding. As it was, that 'backer had no chance of beating Allen to the goalline and Hollins only held it for a split second so it looked like his finger just got accidentally stuck. I think he was probably just having fun messing with a guy that he'd been scrapping with earlier.
  2. I only needed to read the first three words of the title to decide to toss it. Then I started reading the responses and couldn't stop laughing. My rule of thumb is "if it's making me laugh and people are having a good time with it, just leave it alone"
  3. < dusts off ban hammer..... >
  4. I get that. But this whole "push" thing just doesn't pass the smell test. If some jerkweed actually pushed a little girl down icy concrete steps in front of 100 people, I cannot comprehend that there were no immediate repercussions. I would think that at least 5 guys would go after him, or if nobody in the area was comfortable with that, somebody would have gone and fetched security while 40 other people were pointing at him chanting ####### .... ####### .....
  5. It might be the easiest way to get close enough to him to kick his ass
  6. After watching this again, I've changed my mind. He did that **** on purpose.
  7. Yes, that was exactly it. belinda became so ubiquitous that I forgot anything actually preceded it
  8. I'm still not convinced it was intentional. He was blindly reaching for a defender to push away from Allen's path and I think his finger just got caught for a second It was in the endzone on Allen's scramble for a TD (not the lateral). ☝️ That's my link because you can find it faster than I can
  9. I'm not ready to have that conversation yet, and when I am I'll have to add the clarifier "on offense". But I admit that it has been creeping into my head as of late. It's like every single week he does something that I have never seen anybody do before; and it just keeps happening over and over and over again. I don't know if you're a Sabres fan, but it reminds me a lot of watching Hasek's career. After a couple years you realized you were seeing something truly extraordinary and felt privileged to have a front row seat to the greatest performance of all time. Josh Allen is absolutely beginning to encroach on that territory, imo.
  10. This thread cannot even get started until @RobbRiddick's avatar shows up
  11. He actually hurt it well before that. It was on the 3rd down play where Brady called up the QB draw and he steamrolled a LB to get past the sticks.
  12. I was specifically referring to Oliver and DaQuan Jones, but yeah now that you mention it, they do somehow feel less desperate and more patiently in control than they have in some previous seasons.
  13. On one of the older versions of TSW the layout made it easy to post a thread title that conveyed some bit of information without actually having to put anything in the associated text box if you didn't want to (i.e. this Coleman "thread" is sort of an example). There was a poster named Belinda who would get good and pissed off every time somebody did it because for some reason it bugged the hell out of her. Naturally, one of our resident wags decided it would be entertaining to agitate her by placing "belinda" in parentheses on any thread title that didn't have any associated text. I don't know whether she's still around but I'd like to take a moment and thank her for not hunting me down and killing me.
  14. The next time they lose a game, I'm not going to believe it til a half hour after it's over.
  15. I've never had that experience. The ulnar nerve on the human body could really use an engineering upgrade.
  16. I think he's full of shinola. Funny bones don't mess with you for multiple series'
  17. Hope Mom is OK. You didn't miss much; just make sure you catch a replay of the TD Allen scored after he missed his spot on a hitch to Cooper. I still can't stop laughing about it. Here it is:
  18. There's no way they can have an enforceable policy on something so many guys do. It falls in the "Never give an order that won't be obeyed" category, imo.
  19. It looked like he reinjured it during a successful 3rd down run earlier in the game. He started altering his handoffs when running to the right for several series. He may have taken the needle at halftime.
  20. I just want to quote this so more people see it. His mental game has become among the very best in the world over the course of this year. Huge props to both him and his coaches.
  21. Somehow he ended up with a 141.3 QB rating 🤷‍♂️
  22. Suspended for gambling on the NFL! Patriots awarded a 2nd round pick.
  23. Taylor Rapp affected the scoreboard more than any other individual on the team (not named Josh)
  24. Also interesting when they flipped him to the left
  25. I think it's going to be tougher than most of us think it will.
