If they draft Jameson, I don't care how the rest of it plays out. That's a successful draft in my mind. One of the most explosive players coming out would be dangerous to add to the offense. It would just help free everyone else up to make plays

I suppose I'm just preparing myself for a bit of a let down. He's shown that he can add a lot to the offense and is a solid, yet underutilized talent. I have no idea how the coaching staff and Beane view him and I don't want to get my hopes up that they bring him back.
Even if they do I could see them adding another 2 WR in the draft/FA. Adding speed to the offense is, in my opinion, a no brainer. Particularly in a record setting year for draftees.

There was actually a thread about Ken Dorsey and his offensive philosophy, which essentially said his background is in running 2 TE sets. So the Bills could go TE too (Gronk or otherwise)

All I'm hoping for is at least one new starter on the IOL, maybe two if the Bills are serious about protecting Josh. I don't see them replacing Dawkins or Brown so that leave 3 positions up for grabs. Maybe they bump Dion to LG but either way 2/5 spots are locked up

While the disappointment from the season finale against the Chiefs looms large over Bills Mafia, coaches, GM, and the players alike, we turn now turn to free agency and the draft to move forward in the pursuit of the ultimate goal. The Lombardi Trophy. As such the biggest question to answer is how to improve the roster from this point forward.
With the pending departures of Isaiah McKenzie and Cole Beasley, the Bills are poised to address the WR position in either FA, or the draft. So the question is now, how will they fill the void? And with how many players? Will Bills Brass double dip at WR, like they did last year at DE? Will a marquee player again end up in Buffalo?

It really showed Sunday.
We'll see soon how things shape up, but I for one wouldn't mind seeing both Frazier and Daboll getting hired elsewhere. McDermott needs to diversify his defense and if Frazier leaves hopefully he finds a more aggressive DC than Frazier (Sean Payton!?) Offensively the bills would be fine promoting Dorsey at this point since Allen can effectively run the offense himself. He's going to have a lot of input moving forward in terms of play calling and game planning.

I think Oliver took a huge step this year, and can be a disruptive if the overall quality of the line improves. Groot made some big plays this year, but had games where he didn't do as much, as you might expect from a rookie. You can build around those 2. But they need a true disruptor to elevate the whole line's play.
Oliver really came on strong at the end of the year and fingers crossed he keeps it up next year. Groot was honestly pretty disappointing, especially later in the year when I would've expected him to turn it up and make more of an impact. Boogie seemed to do more with less time than Rousseau towards the backend of the season

I just looked at some draft profiles and he seems like the perfect fit for the offense! Forget Beasley and McKenzie. He has size and speed to spare from the sounds of it and would add a new dynamic to the offense. Maybe Stevenson shows something and they can add two speed elements to the O next year

It's so crazy that KC and the Pats, in their prime, always manage to find players like that. Did Pittsburgh really need to get rid of Ingram that bad!? I'm sure another team would've thrown in a bag of balls or something, if I was Beane I'd have given them an extra pick not to trade him to the Chiefs

The Bills OL really came on strong the last few weeks of the regular season, which to me puts less emphasis on 'fixing' it when it comes to team building. Do you think the Bills should put more focus on stopping the KC playmakers or adding weapons of their own?

If anyone thought the Bills were decidedly better than KC, they were just overconfident and maybe ignorant about Kansas City. They are legit one of the top 2 teams in the league, maybe the top team. They definately have the top offense by far.
I felt 50/50 about this game, at best. I knew in order to beat them we would have to have an insane game either on offense or on defense. We didn't quite get there, but it was so close. Josh willed his team forward and was clutch down the stretch, but it wasn't enough because the defense could not come through when we needed them to.
The Bills D actually matches up pretty well with the Chiefs but the DL just couldn't get home. They had a good pressure on Mahomes the whole game but he slipped out and made them pay consistently. The number of times I thought they were gonna bring him down only to see him run for chunk yards or hit someone down field is what got me the most fired up watching the game

Allen is the ultimate high end talent. After Allen, the only game wreckers we have are Diggs and White. White down for the year so we went into KC with just Allen and Diggs with that label.
KC had Mahomes, Kelce, Hill, Jones and made the move mid-season for Ingram.
Both teams had good OL’s.
KC has more holes, ie Sorenson playing meaningful snaps even with Mathieu , Deandre Baker as first DB off the bench… but high end talent wins.
And Josh Allen, even facing all that, won the game. ….until our coaches gave it away.
Get this dude another game breaker on Offense.
I couldn't agree more on both accounts. I'm excited to see what this offseason will bring even though we'll likely lose a few players to FA and cap constraints. I'm not sure where the strengths of this draft class are but the Bills could go WR/CB in the first and second and I'd be happy. Add an IOL in the third and the fastest offensive player in the fourth then just draft high RAS guys on D the rest of the way

Mahomes has two of the fastest WRs in the league, a top 3 TE of all time, and arguably the best offensive coach in football.
The Bills group of skill position players are average at best.
Must be nice to have multiple guys on offense that can take it to the house from anywhere on the field.
Allen does more with a lot less. There is zero doubt that he is the best player in the league imo.
Surprisingly a lot of people. Leading up to the game I heard multiple commentators say this, when they picked the Bills to win, as well as reading it on the board a number of times. 🤷🏻♂️

All week I've heard from countless posters here and national pundits saying that the Bills have the better roster top down. Watching the game Sunday got me thinking. Where exactly are the Bills better than the Chiefs.
RB- KC
WR- push
TE- KC
OL- push (leaning KC)
DL- push (leaning KC)
LB- KC (unless you're an Edmunds truther)
CB- push (without Tre)
S- Bills
So what else does that leave? Oh yeah..
QB- Bills (by a billion)
People subconsciously have put Mahomes leagues ahead of Allen and therefore put the rest of KC down in terms of talent. When realistically the opposite is true. Not to say that he, Mahomes, isn't a great QB(from a talent perspective), he clearly is (not even mentioning the accolades he's accumulated). But It's just so obvious how much more Allen does for the Bills than Mahomes does for the Chiefs. If you swap teams I can almost guarantee that Allen has more success than Mahomes. (Although without the adversity he's faced would Allen be the QB he is today?)
Look at team defense for example, the Chiefs have had a better defense than the Bills, or any team for that matter, since week 5(?), is what they've been saying anyway, and Allen shredded them. Just like Mahomes shredded the Bills(without Tre). On top of the fact that the Chiefs before Mahomes had already been established as a contender in the league with Alex Smith at QB. The team around him has always been loaded and people seem to disregard that that since he's the league darling, an über-talented wunderkind.
Just a little perspective, unless you don't like objectivity. If you disagree I'd love for you to break down the rosters for me player by player or group by group, prove me wrong.
Allen elevates the Bills more than Mahomes does the Chiefs and it isn't particularly close.

For sure. The loss sucks but everyone complaining about it has to realize that Mahomes and the Chiefs literally had to play a perfect game to beat the Bills. This was a battle of two behemoths and the home team won. Simple as that.

Letting him get some rest against the Pats was definitely the way to go and I'm excited to see what he can do this weekend. It might be one of those games where he's simply uncoverable, unlike last year against the Chiefs he's fully healthy and ready to go. I'd imagine he's going to be a major part of the game plan moving forward. Even though the Bills don't necessarily need him to win, having him out there certainly increases the chances of getting the W.

I have no say in the matter of whether or not he suits up on Sunday. That means I'll just have to root for the players the are out there. I'm not saying that he doesn't help the Bills win that game. The Bills are the better team by more than Stefon Diggs and that's not a slight on Diggs either, the Bills just are a much better team based on the results of the season until now, and you might have noticed, the Bills WRs outside of Diggs are kinda good. He didn't even lead them in snaps last week

To me the Sunday 1pm game is for boring teams/games it's like @TheFunPolice was saying; the better the team the more primetime action and I want the Bills to get as much showcasing as they can stomach.
Also, the extra day of rest is really overblown by a large portion of fans, there's not many times when one extra day of rest/recovery keeps players out of games. In terms of game planning and schemes, the coaches aren't going to radically alter the playbook or add entirely new plays in between games. At his point it's about adding wrinkles to the game plan and expecting that the players, who know the system, can adapt and adjust.
For all of the fans who suffer from bbptsd(or whatever it's called) how cathartic will it be when the Bills crush the Patriots, in the playoffs, and in primetime. There's nothing I look forward to more as a fan of this team than the prospect of embarrassing the Patriots, and showing the league who's the class of not only the AFCE, but the entire NFL.
P.S.
Don't look now; but the Bills have won 3 in a row, and might quietly be, the hottest team in the league 😉

If you want to be a real Super Bowl contender, you are going to have (lots) of night games because the entire country wants to see your team in Prime Time. The league wants to showcase your team and your QB. That's a good thing.
We had plenty of 1:00 games for 20 years.
I just think that threads like this (and the dome/no dome threads) make it seem like the majority want one thing, when it's the majority of a very small portion of the fanbase that still uses message boards, so it's deceiving.
Nothing against message boards, we all obviously enjoy these forums, but we're a handful of people in the grand scheme. Most sports fans WANT their team on prime time in the bright lights. Or else why bother?
Don't be afraid of being a top team! this is what we always dreamed of for 20 freaking years of watching drought era teams that struggled to score 17 points and when 200 yards passing for a game was a huge accomplishment.
Bring on a home playoff night game!
What a great sentiment. I have two young kids and staying up late to watch the game with my wife can be a hassle. But man, you just can't beat it. I get so pumped for those games and stay up way later thinking about it. I never regret it in the morning and win or lose I'm wearing my Bills gear proud the next day

I can't imagine a better game for Bills Mafia to go absolutely mad for. Would Mac Jones even be able to complete a pass? How much extra juice would the defense get in front of the home crowd. What a fun game that would be

Imagine if you will, it's 8 pm Monday January 17th 2022. The temperature is 17° with a wind chill of 12° the slight breeze feels bitter cold and there's a few flakes falling, a light dusting of snow coats the field. The Bills led by Josh Allen enter the stadium and the crowd erupts. The noise of the fans seems to be magnified by the Monday night lights and the frigid temps. The stadium is absolutely electric as the fans get ready for the show.
These Bills have been preparing for this moment for a long time. The quiet confidence they exude riles the fans up even more.

I forgot all about him honestly. It's going to be interesting to see if the coaches feel the same way. He's a later round pick, same with Stevenson, so I can't imagine they're going to bank too much on them taking big steps but you never know.
