NFLPA initiating investigation into Tua’s concussion protocol

I was more referring to in the locker room at halftime. I know they can’t do much in the tent. -

All that is true (although the ataxia qualification was removed today by the league and union) and I agree under the rules at the time he needn’t have been removed from the game due to his back the fact remains the Dolphins claimed at the time the instability was due to back/ankle issues and these leaks are saying they didn’t even examine his back. If they didn’t examine his back how can they even claim with any confidence that that was the reason for him shaking is head and falling over his feet? That’s negligence/lying on the part of the team that has nothing to do with the lack of a concussion diagnosis. -

They also said his reaction to getting his head bounced off the turf was an ankle. That’s another question then that needs to be asked - was the ankle examined at all? Because I bet it wasn’t. -

so if it wasn’t his head, and it wasn’t his back, what was it? If no one asks McDaniel that question, the media’s not doing their jobs. -

so his “back” injury was such a problem he couldn’t stand up straight and they didn’t even examine his back. Unreal. The fact that no one associated with the Dolphins hasn’t been fired by now over this is a travesty. The UNC gets the axe though. -
Sure I get that. But I’m not going to speculate on his level of recovery this week based on nothing. Publicly all we know is he practiced in full. Now, if on Sunday he’s out there and looks like he can’t cut and turn again, then yes he probably shouldn’t be out there or practicing and the team should put him on ice for a while and focus on his recovery.
-
Gabe has been practicing in full I believe this week. That doesn’t necessarily mean he’s 100% I know, but it’s better than limited designations.
-
traded for him and then gave him an obscenely huge contract. They’re stuck with him now. Hackett’s going to get jettisoned quick if he doesn’t figure out something.

Common sense responses were pointed out on page 1 of this ridiculous thread. Apparently off-season rules still apply in week 5.

you are a homer because Mahomes has done amazing things with the football. He does not have the running talent that Josh has, but Pat’s done some incredible things with all the arm angles he can throw from. Allen’s imitated a couple of them yes. But the opinion that Mahomes would fall to earth a bit after losing Hill hasn’t come to pass. Yes, I’d still take Allen. Ho boy. That’s a little embarrassing. EDIT: watching those clips through Beck’s link, I am seriously concerned about this kid’s arm strength. Starting to think that BUF-14 line is a little low.

So you’re just disregarding position fit when you propose getting the “best” 5 DBs on the field at the same time (not sure how important that is, anyways.) So take Tre, put him at safety, and you still got your “best” 5 on the field? You sure? Because I’m not, since I’ve never seen Tre play safety at the pro level.
-
“Woodson did it…” “Top 5 CB, but not missing anything…” “Problem is they’re great…”
-
How soon after he returns do they announce his move to safety?
-
Focusing on his rap career?
-
you’re right it’s completely crazy
-
Why? Oh because Tre’s hurt and coming off an injury you see. So instead of putting him back at his natural position, where you can platoon him with Elam, limit his snaps and ease him back in, you put him in at safety where he’s never played and where he’ll have to play more snaps (to keep the “weak links” like Hamlin off the field.) Make perfect sense.
-
back end speed at safety? Isn’t one of the bases of this “move Tre to safety” argument the assumption that he may lose some of his speed coming off his injury? Do you even need elite speed at safety? Poyer 4.54, Hyde 4.56 (and these times were years ago.) Hamlin 4.6 and has ideal size for safety. you certainly do need to be a sure tackler at safety. That’s not Tre’s strength. sorry taking just a cursory look at this idea reveals its absurdity.

I mean, Taron is already elite at his current position but sure.
