We’re scoring points, so I can’t complain too much—but doesn’t it feel like we have a lot of predictable 2nd-down runs that go nowhere and start slow? Came back strong vs. the Ravens, but it’d be nice to open things up earlier. Against the Jets it didn’t matter, but I’m still waiting to see more schemed explosive plays in the passing game, especially early. Similar issues as last year. What do you guys think?

I think Brady’s never going to call games like Daboll did, and I predict you’re going to continue to be disappointed if you wish that’s gonna happen.

  2. Long term does anyone know the plan for these? Considering Nike and the league are rolling them out 2 divisions at a time over the next 4 seasons I assume at the very least they’ll be wearing these once a season for the next 4 years? I haven’t seen any specifics though past the Oct 5 game this year.

I had no idea there was “Tre to safety crap”, sorry to ruffle your feathers there brother. Touchy subject apparently…

Unfortunately, team doesn’t have a starting caliber safety.

BTW, quite literally prefaced with “too late for a positional switch”.

    He’s shot at corner.

TRYING him out at safety in the offseason would’ve hurt who exactly?

Taken valuable reps away from all world pro Damar Hamlin? Those paid off…

it’s not that it’s too late, it’s that Tre lacks the tackling will and skill to play safety. This has been debated to death for years here.

A few corners over the years have been able to do it. Tre isn’t one of them.

I actually think Coleman's ceiling is high but not easily attainable.

He has a lot of traits that remind me of Davante Adams.   Adams has arguably ended up becoming the best WR to come out of that gifted 2014 class.   Mike Evans is great and unbelievably consistent but he was never the best WR in the game like Adams was for several years in his prime.   Once Adams caught up with Evans in 2017 he has been the better player and their career numbers are pretty close despite Adams struggling early due to lacking any one incredible natural trait to allow him to win matchups immediately as a pro.

Coleman has that basketball level athleticism with size that you don't see a lot of in the NFL.   That should allow him to develop the nuanced aspects of the position.   He will have to work like Adams did(and prove as smart as Adams) to get that polished and that's probably not "likely" but he seems to be a good character guy so it's possible.   Nothing I saw in 2024 has changed my mind despite his struggles.    I was actually a bit surprised by the success he did have.

That’s almost incredibly optimistic for Coleman but I certainly hope you’re right.

It just makes me a little skittish when your team is winning but you're complaining about your targets.  He also was the Browns 2nd WR in terms of targets is two years there.  Pry not going to happen here.  I'm sure he was vetted by the Bills brass and he's pry matured since then.  Or, again, it was the Jets.

absolutely valid - attitude adjustments can happen when that sunset on your football career starts before you planned on though.

I assume McDermott and Brady set him straight on the visit here how they see him fitting into the team next season,,,

highly doubt Moore was a guy that had like only one or two options. Also I highly doubt in the staying power and overall talent of Keon Coleman. So yeah by game 3 or 4 i would bet the top 3 WR on the team are Palmer - Moore - Shakir In the slot.

He hasn't down much the last three seasons but his 2021 season looks nice when he got 11 starts and put up 698 yards and was a teammate of Josh Palmer at UT.  Draft writeup also indicates he could be a punt returner/occasional speed threat. To me he's worth a shot if we can't get Elijah Moore.

    So much for that.

I don't really know what to make of this because it's the Jets but I'm not sure he's going to be happy as a WR4 or WR5.  Again, it's the Jets.

    https://sports.yahoo.com/jets-wr-elijah-moore-breaks-202500715.html

The second-year pro out of Ole Miss remains on the team despite having been frustrated enough with his reduced role in the offense to ask for a trade. The Jets declined his request and now that the trade deadline has come and gone, the two sides need to figure out how to work together.

Hours after the Jets’ 27-10 victory against the Packers on Oct. 16, Moore quoted a tweet saying he was targetted zero times.

“If I say what I really wanna say… I’ll be the selfish guy…we winning,” Moore said in the tweet. “Grateful! Huge blessing! All I ever wanted. Bittersweet for me, but I’ll be solid. So I’ll just stay quiet. Just know I don’t understand either.”

While he practiced on Wednesday of the following week, the 2021 second-round pick was sent home the next day following a reported disagreement with Jets offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur. Then Jets coach Robert Saleh announced before the game against the Broncos on Oct. 23 that Moore would not travel with the rest of the team following his trade request.

Moore returned to the team following the win against the Broncos but played only 10 snaps in the 22-17 loss against the Patriots. Although he was not traded, Moore said it wasn’t easy to turn the page and start over fresh with the Jets organization.

“I’m a human, so it takes time,” Moore said. “Being the man that I am, I always try to reset my mind every time I go home. I go to the things that I believe in and that’s God.

Again, please keep in mind he was on the Jets.

All that is valid Doc, but recency bias aside, he didn’t necessarily go to a good situation with the Browns either. And he still caught 61 balls. Playing on both the slot and the outside. Idk I’ve always liked him and yes F the Jets.

  9. I wanted the Bills to draft Eli Moore 4 years ago. Im okay with this.

I hope this guy ends up being Jerry Rice but knowing what I know about those team, I’ll be stunned if he even plays. If he has 25 catches I’ll be amazed. I expect it more likely he’s cut than matter

lol the stupid has ramped up around here i guess. Moore is instantly the 2nd best receiver on the team behind Shakir. Yes, better than Palmer and yes, Moore can play on the outside.

Ok, I like boobs as much as the next guy, but I sure didn't like them airing that commercial during the superbowl when my kids were watching, and there are kids all over the nation watching.  I guess I am old fashioned, though...

obviously they’re trying to switch up the delivery of the message for this one, and maybe they didn’t hit the bullseye, but it’s still a good message isn’t it? Honestly breast cancer awareness is more important than your kids’ innocent sensibilities. Not even close actually. Suck it up.

Yeah, he had a good game but I think they should’ve given it to the whole Eagles defensive line.  They were awesome.

I came on here the other day and said the pass rush doesn’t matter if KC runs the short pass game like they did vs the Bills.  Boy, was I wrong!

Mahomes got so antsy from being hit, he was rushing passes with a clean pocket, which I know was rare in this game.

it was the kind of game that pretty much ended Tony Eason’s career after the 85 Bears harassed him or Jared Goff’s performance for a couple years after the Patriots pummeled him.

Mahomes seems to be a different breed who shouldn’t be affected by this game but who knows.

unless they change the definition to MVP [Most Valuable Player(s)] then no, sorry. They wreaked havoc all night but Hurts capitalized on almost every chance the D gave him. He’s been low key banged up pretty much all of last (2023) season and parts of this season. He’s very f’in good when healthy. He deserves it 100%.

Why do teams go lateral? Kick it straight forward and have kicker ram the guy catching it. I’ve never seen an onside kick like that. Would definitely increase chances from 3%…

Sounds like a great way to murder your kicker

He brought in Kromer to run his style of football.

He deserves some credit for that as the boss, no?

Also there is zero chance McD is not involved in personnel decisions. Deserves credit there as well.

He deserves credit for bringing back Kromer okay. The input in personnel decisions is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i don’t know the dynamic between he and Beane and neither do you.

  14. 2 hours ago, RoscoeParrish said:

McD’s focus and commitment to building a physical offensive line and a team able to run the ball has freed Josh up to have the best year of his career in a multi dimensional offense.

Many on this board were critical of him being an old conservative outdated defensive mind for his constant focus on being able to run the ball and win up front.

Not only was McD right that this was the answer, it unleashed our franchise QB to win his first MVP and hopefully a Lombardi.

    Go Bills.

Didn’t know McD “built” the offensive line. Coulda sworn that was Beane. Don’t remember McD coaching the offense at all either, including the O line. Thought Kromer did that.
