    Poor Tom Brady.

He'll now have to win the Super Bowl this year with THREE Hall of Fame weapons (Evans, AB, Gronk), instead of possibly 4.

Can the Greatest System Quarterback of All Time overcome having just 3 Hall of Fame pass-catchers on his Offense?

And what is it about the Saints defense being the only defense in the NFL that can shut down Brady and the Bucs offense?

What is it that the Saints defense has against the Bucs O, that no other NFL defense has?

Gronk passed his prime, Evans is a fringe HOF player at best and no freaking way anybody else is in the conversation.

I guess Pj Walker was one in HS but he was bad in emergency try-outs. Their punter was an aussie rules guy so he had no PK experience. Just a bad situation

Surprised they didn’t just have the punter drop kick if needed, wasn’t a real issue yesterday, they needed TDs.  What that team needs is a QB, Cam is done.

Diggs is still on a petty good statistical pace. At his current average of 74 receiving yards per game, he's on pace to have 1,258 yards receiving and 9 or 10 touchdowns.

His targets are down and the performance of the entire Bills offense is down a bit from last year. I also think teams are paying him a lot more defensive attention this year.

Part of the problem, I think, is that Diggs was just so All-World last year, that this year looks like some kind of a letdown. In reality, 1200 yards and 10 TDs is a damned good season for a WR.

I’m more concerned with the fact he doesn’t appear to be able to track a ball, he missed the TD vs NE, had the ball almost hit him in the hip down the seem vs TB and never even looked for the ball in OT, when it was going to him.  He’s not the same guy as last year, he’s turned to trying to get calls instead of catching the ball.  It’s like the whole damn team has gone soft and he’s the leader of it.  The only guys I see playing with the same heart are Allen, Davis and I think Knox, but He’s harder to tell bc he lacks hands/focus in the first place haha.

I want to add a talented receiver, too, but I don't know if the first round is necessary. We may already have a dynamic WR2 on our roster.

I’m going to say it again, something is off w Diggs right now, don’t know what, but he is not the same guy we saw last year.

Oh and Davis is the best WR we have right now.

  5. Diggs is off this year, I don’t know why, but the guy caught everything last year, battled hard, this year, specifically the last 3 games, he has looked awful.  He’s not going after balls, he got hit in the arm on a perfect bomb, he didn’t even get his head around on the OT play that ended our chances.  I don’t know what the deal is, but he’s not there this year.

Yesterday's game was an outlier as we rarely ask Josh to pass that often.  You'd think that based on that article and this thread, we'd lead the NFL in passing attempts.  We are 6th in passing attempts (18th in rushing attempts).  And our offense is still ranked in the top-10 overall (8th in yards, 4th in scoring).  The two big issues we have is our inability to stop power rushing teams on D and an inability to score in the redzone.  We are going through a rough patch these past two weeks and it seems as if the sky is falling, but we lost one score games to two of the top-4 or 5 teams in the entire league, almost entirely because of the two issues noted above.  If we can make some tweaks and show some modest improvement in those areas over the soft schedule these next four weeks, we can enter the playoffs as a threat to make some noise.

But yes, the O and D lines are serious issues from a personnel standpoint and we need to address them in the offseason.

Those numbers don’t tell the whole truth, what is the PERCENTAGE of throws vs runs and how does that compare? 1 pass can cover 50 yards where other teams may pass 7 times to cover that.

  7. Oliver has had the most impact of anybody on the DL this year, followed by some flash plays by Addison and Groot is playing very solid ball, doing a great job on containment and shedding, but his lack of pass rush moves is holding hime back.

The sad part is, the line still gets zero pressure by itself, Brady had all day aside from blitz’s.

Oliver has not lived up to his draft status and if McClappy is going to insist on rotating everyone, he’s never going to, so there’s no point in picking up his option, he’s nothing more than a rotational player, due in large part to his coach’s stupidity.

That was huge because it was behind the line of scrimmage and would have forced a punt.  He needs to go downhill

He never goes down hill, there was another play yesterday with a swing pass I believe, the receiver is wrapped up and he just needs to go finish the job.  He runs over then stutter steps and goes in high, allowing more yards, a real LB would have leveled the guy and kept him in place or potentially knocked the ball loose.  Had that been Poyer, they may have had to bring the cart out for the poor SOB, but not the amazing 6’ 5” 250lb butterfly we have,  oh no, he had to flutter and manage to get hit by a guy who was stopped.

He is an athlete, he’s not a football player.  People need to realize the difference.  Tom Brady is the classic example of a football player who is a below NFL average athlete, dude is the GOAT.  Edmunds is one of the biggest freak athletes in the game, but one of the least valuable players on his own team.

Beane already blew it and gave the guy 3x what he is worth, guaranteed for next year so we’ll watch this same ***** show again in 2022.

McDermotts Answers (now you dont have to wonder!):

Question 1. "With all due respect to your question pal there are a lot of things that go into that. Each game is its own thing and we just try to put the players in the best position to be successful."

Question 2. "Each game is different and I try to make the best decision i can each week to put this team in the best position to win. This is the NFL and look its hard to win in this league so we dont always get the result wed like."

Question 3. I have a lot of confidence in our guys, players and coaches, to make the right calls when the game is on the line. Its something we practice all the time.

Question 4. With all due respect to your question and I understand where you are going with that I really do, we got to focus on controlling the things we can control.

Question 5. Like I said earlier I have a lot of confidence in our guys. Everyone has a couple of plays they'd like to have back, we all do including the coaches but I have a lot of confidence in this team moving forward.

    Sounds about right.

I’d really like the opportunity to ask the players, mostly Allen, Diggs, Hyde, what they really think of this coaching staff.

To me, the team looks like they see what we see and don’t want to do it anymore.

  10. At this very moment he is THE BEST WR on the team.  Diggs is OFF, don’t know what the deal is, but he isn’t even tracking balls the last 2 games, Beasley is a good slot guy, but offers next to nothing in big play potential and Sanders hasn’t been a real threat.   Davis has the size, speed and effort all going for him and he’s out performing everyone else when given the opportunity.

  11. Dabs may be struggling, but Diggs has absolutely blown the last 2 games.  Last week the ball hits him on the arm, in the end zone, don’t give me an excuse, the ball was literally perfect, this week, down the seem he doesn’t know where the ball is again as it drops in his pocket, then the fade, then having no clue the ball was coming again to screw our chances in OT.  He’s either quit again or has something really really wrong with him.  Right now he doesn’t belong in the field and the ball should be going to Davis.

  12. This team is very poorly constructed.  If we are 100% honest, the team we had under Whaley was far better overall and would be dominant with Allen at QB.  That team was winning with Tyrod at QB, look what Tyrod has done since.  Plug Allen into that equation.  If Allen had a strong Running game and a D that could stop the run, albeit struggled with covering the TE, would be scary to all the contenders.   Right now, everyone knows the formula to beat the Bills and they aren’t good enough to stop it.

Wow. I know you! - you’re Jethro Bodine, aren’t ya? Seems evident you only graduated “plum through the 6th Grade”..  1st, it isn’t your money, so quit yer damn crying. 2nd, his ‘22 salary is average for starting MLB’s. Should the Bills (no, son, not you..) decide by next season they can’t get all of what they need from him as our starter (read Buffalo Bills 4th year starting MLB, Pro Bowler and Defensive Captain), they’re under no further financial commitment 13 months from now. These, my prodigal son, are what the Bills wish to do with THEIR money and Their player in the real world. Hot-headed nincompoops screaming from the cheap seats aren’t invited to weigh in. Obviously, I didn’t type slow enough for this to sink in.. 3rd, you weren’t asked to vote for team captains and Pro Bowl nor decided who plays where and how often. NFL coaches, players and select voters do -thus rendering your witless ramblings.. well, witless -as befits a Jethro Bodine.
I hope you’re able to follow this explanation. I don’t care to -ya know, type slow again..

You are the type of key board warrior I would love to embarrass in public, carry on with your evasion of facts and perpetuation (if you use Google, they can tell you what that means) of fallacy on the intelligence of your favorite team’s decisions.  Certainly jocks are never impressed by others who are physically gifted, yet failures at their job; which would clearly explain why there has never been a first round bust, nor a Pro Bowler who was later figured out to be a mediocre player.   If only I could site a Pro Bowler, Captain, physically gifted player in many aspects, who had wow plays, even called the plays for their team and still never was anything more than potential; oh wait, I can, Tyrod Taylor.  Funny how it all lines up exactly the same, and when the Bills cut their losses they’ll be able to move on to a real difference maker, just like they did before.

Or we can listen to Cledus Chandler and get more mediocrity, just like his name sake would indicate.

Ok, I’ll type like a normal human being so everyone else sees just how stupid you really are.  The 5th year option GUARANTEES you have to pay a player again. Which cost you $12.69MM next year, or you could slap either a transition tag on him, which as of 2021 was worth $12.7MM and gives you first right of refusal or you could put the franchise tag on him for $14.7MM.  So you committed $12.69MM of cap space for a career underachiever, to save next to nothing.  Now he has proved he’s not worth that and you are stuck, or you had the option to lock him down if he blew up with no risk, or work on a mid year contract for likely the same money if he was playing well.  So you took all the risk, for next to zero reward and now you are stuck.
