Dude looks tiny and slow. Like I said during those training camp work outs, his feet speed is way too slow to be a good player in the NFL.
Gonna have to improve that quickly.
As soon as Stevenson is ready, Shakir can go to PS.
Stevenson should be cut as soon as he’s back.

Depth is getting thin in a hurry. Hopefully, Tre is close.

Looks like a wasted 2nd round pick so far, hope he finds something more to offer.

Hope he’s ok and this is just precaution.

Will OBJ be in attendance?

They were up 2 or 3 scores all game until garbage time and “flew up” 4 spots
End of the day, they barely beat the worst team in Football and moved up the ranks, past “average”, which is absolute non-sense and there are polls out there with them in the top 10.

Settle and his calf has me concerned. Calf muscle are one of the hardest to heal.
Not to mention, you can’t rush it or you end up with a full cow, tricky stuff.-

If you plan to Uber, you need to walk away from the stadium or as suggested, just go grab a bite to eat and hang out after. Either works, but no driver in their right mind will come close to the stadium after the game.

Love the Eagles flying up the ranks after struggling to beat Detroit.. what a joke.

Further perspective:
- A puntless game by an NFL team happens about once every 50 games or 2% of the time.
- The Bills have not punted in 3 of their last 5 regular season games (60%) and 4 of their last 6 games including playoffs (67%).
Analytics say we don’t need a punter. -

He definitely got it handed to him a few times early on, but the scheme was drawn up to neutralize the pass rush, now doubt about it. Good scheme, good execution, hopefully it’s more of the same this year, the guys all gel together a bit more and he looks great again.

Yeah I watched the game. Did you have a point lol
Excuses don’t matter is about it.. The Broncos should have blown that team out, they allowed it to be close enough to lose it.. input that largely on the terrible game plan/play calling.

Agree with everything you said other than the wide margin.. between White and the rest is the wide margin but it’s razor thin between Jackson and the rookies and I love the competition
Fair enough, I think there’s a pretty solid gap between Jackson and the rookies.. probably the effects of time in the system more than anything. That said, it’s an opinion and we all have one, so we know what that’s worth 😂

Nobody is pretending we are. Every scheme requires players to do their job, and all 3 did their job very effectively. Simple as.
My point was in regards to the post I quoted, where he questions if they should be rotated like the DL. The answer is obviously no. Jackson and White are clearly the best players by a wide margin, you shouldn’t take them off the field unless they need a rest. The DL rotation has largely been because there was nobody clearly better than another in the past. They were all mediocre, so they might as well be fresh. Watch what happens this year when the game is on the line, Von isn’t going to be subbing out constantly. Assuming Oliver turns the corner, neither will he. These rotations are the same thing that Parcells said, “ if you have 2 QBs, you don’t have one”, if you have 6 DEs, you don’t have one either. With Von in the mix, hopefully Groot emerges, maybe they can rotate Boogie and Oliver a little, but the real players will be on the field. White and Jackson will be on the field until Benford/Elam can take Jackson’s job and I’d bet Benford will be the first off the bench for a while, he’s the better player at this moment.

That it required the Broncos to play overall crappy AND have two fluky turnovers back to back that cost them at least 6 points, for the Seahawks to win.
And it happened, the record shows Seattle 1-0.

No he was never mobile. He exceeded 40 rush attempts 1 time in his career - as a rookie - for under 3 y/c.
He could slide around the pocket, but he was not mobile and could not run.
He was a big, tough SOB to bring down, but he was never anything like Cam or Josh.
Almost all of the hits Ben took through his career were behind the LOS and while in the pocket.
I completely disagree with you, he was out of the pocket all the time in his early years, he was always moving to pass. The box score doesn’t tell the story.-

Yeah, it's a weird thing.
Assuming White comes back and plays well, you're looking at two of Dane Jackson, Kaiir Elam, and Christian Benford spending a bunch of time on the bench.
The Bills predominantly play nickel, and I don't think they're taking Taron Johnson off the field any time soon. Jackson, Elam, and Benford are all boundary corners, any way.
The good news, I suppose, is that they can ease White back in if they want by spelling him with the youngsters. I wonder if they'll do a little bit more rolling waves of substitutions in the defensive backfield than they've done in the past, similar to (but less than) how much they rotate the D-line. You don't often think of corner as being a position that gets subbed out the way a defensive lineman does in a McDermott defense does, but hell...if a limited snap count can help Von Miller remain fresh for the fourth quarter, why couldn't it do the same for a guy like Tre White?
None of them are particularly good, they are just all we have. At best, Jackson is basically a slightly better Levi Wallace and the rookies are trying to get to Levi Wallace level at the moment. The super soft scheme and the insane pass rush last game did cover them up, but let’s not pretend we are having to choose which Pro Bowler to take off the field. I like what McDermott gets out of DBs, but let’s get real here. This is 100% the scheme making the players look good. -

Tough to take down, sure. mobile, no.
Ben used to run around a ton, he was always looking to pass though. He had one play I recall him extending almost 10 seconds before he threw the ball. He was a menace, but rarely was he going forward. -

I hear that - just not sure it is true or just a common misconception.
Cam was still very active running at the end of his career. The running and his legs were fine and he was routinely still active in QB designed runs in NE and then Carolina again. What killed his career was the injuries to his shoulder and not the cumulative effect of his QB runs. Twice he had major shoulder injuries that occurred when he was passing in the pocket and got driven into the ground. Those injuries were not due to previous hits - they were one off random hits of a guy that was trying to make a play.
The effects of those 2 hits and the required shoulder surgeries lead to the overall lack of strength in his arm that limited his passing ability and caused him to no longer be a viable QB. Even at the end he was still effective as a QB when he ran. In his last 2 years about 23 starts - he rushed the ball nearly 190 time - over 8 rushes a game. He just could no longer hit a pass beyond 10 yards.
Big Ben as you said was never mobile, but the accumulation of hits he took were all in the pocket. His change was mostly age based - of course the hits might slow you down a touch, but age has a bigger effect and again after his first 10 years as he learned how to better attack defenses - his hits went down and his passing got better. His last couple of years - he learned to get rid of the ball quicker and had a higher completion percentage and some of his lowest Int % of his career.
Josh could easily get hurt running the ball - it happens (less frequently to QBs than hits in the pocket), but it could happen. The thing is - the injuries that are more likely to shorten a career or impact a career are much more likely to occur in the pocket or as he rolls out - like in LV where he lands on a shoulder with no ability to brace.
The Bills will work to lessen his rushes, but Josh in game mode whether 1st quarter or 4th up big - is going to try to do everything he can to make a play - so unless they are taking the ball out of his hand - I think we are still going to see Josh out in the open field bulling over guys - that is who he is.
Ben was never mobile? Are you kidding?! -
Looks like high probability of Josh bringing the thunder and making it rain all over the Titans.

None of this is wrong. But if the Broncos don’t fumble on the goalline twice, they win.
If the Bills had lasted for 13 seconds they won too.. what’s the point?

My biggest takeaway from last night is that I can’t believe Nate Hackett is a head coach.
I do think Denver suffered from not playing anyone during preseason. They lost that game in the first half.
Agree with @GunnerBill that the Broncos may be 4th in that division.
I had so many flashbacks to his days in Buffalo and wanting to throw something through the TV. I’m glad he’s not our coach. I don’t understand what the league sees in the guy.
