Is Breida going to have a press conference to introduce himself? I feel like that's a tell that the player is a lock for the roster. Hollister and Sanders and all of our re-signs got press conferences. Obada didn't. If Breida doesn't I'll assume he's just depth competition to possibly take over Yeldon's spot.

He signed for the minimum, he’s not a lock at all.  I wouldn’t risk him climbing onto a podium, dude is made of more fragile glass than Kolb or Goodwin.

A RB with that kind of speed doesn't come along very often, if it wasn't for the injury with the Dolphins he would have been out of Buffalo's price range. Not sure about a press conference though....lol

If it weren’t for injuries, sums up his career.  Expect nothing from him so you aren’t disappointed.

Fitzgerald is barely a shadow of himself. AJ Green has been hurt and ineffective for years, so it's tough to know how good he'll be. But I would bet he is pretty over the hill.

Fitz at this point is 37 years old and still able to play in the NFL.  There’s just no way to expect him to be what he was in his prime, but I think any team would be pretty thrilled to have him as a #3 or 4, he’s a possession monster.   AJ Green to me is the Clowney of WRs, he has accounted for a crazy number of tipped interceptions.  He’s a flash play guy, but a guy I’m honestly not upset the Bills didn’t draft oh and he hasn’t been healthy in years.  Then there is D-Hop, arguably the best in the game, so yeah, I’m with you, they aren’t in the conversation at this point in their careers.

  3. I can see the argument for top 5, but to me, the Bucs are the easy #1.   The Bills lack a physical presence, I really would have liked to seen them try to address it, but those guys and the money it takes to bring them in, don’t grow on trees.  Going way back, they could have just taken Evans instead of Watkins, but those are days past.

The Dallas Cowboys are the only team in the NFL with three #1 WRs.

3 #1s is a stretch, but they do have the most talented pair and a really good #2 playing as a #3.  The argument could be made for them on just Lamb and Cooper alone, so I agree they definitely have to be considered in the conversation.

  4. All things considered, I like it.  I would have preferred a longer deal in hopes that he reaches his potential and we get a bargain, but whatever.  He’s a helluva athlete, has next to nothing in experience and is producing at the very highest level of organized professional football, so I say he’s worth a shot.

No I get it. It’s cheap. N it would all fall apart but if you’re already planning on Allen to get hurt you can’t plan when. And if he gets hurt in the playoffs Trubisky ain’t saving us. Just think the money could have been put into another piece. But I understand the move.

Maybe, maybe not, but I feel a whole lot better with Mitch than Barkley or Fromm.  There’s no reason Mitch can’t be as good as  Foles, he’s way more physically gifted and has had reasonable success as a starter.  The way I see it, obviously you want Allen in there, but if he goes down for even a couple games, the guys we had behind him were almost a guaranteed loss (Fromm is an unknown so whatever you want to think there), and in a division where I expect it to take 11 wins or more to get a playoff birth, there’s very little room for error.  You can build the rest of the team, but the key is the QB and we all know it.  I don’t want a Dallas like implosion over here, I still want a chance to make the playoffs if Allen is out for any period of time.  We now have that.  The difference of 2.5M vs the cap is well worth that insurance.   MT is a fringe starter at this point, with some elite traits, but ultimately, he’s a lower end starter.  That’s a helluva backup.

Maybe we signed Trubisky to trade to the Eagles 😂. I get he was only 2.5 mil so why the ***** not for insurance purposes. But money could have been spent elsewhere then again wtf do I know 🤷🏻‍♂️

You wanted to roll with Fromm as the only back up?  I mean this is essentially what they paid Barkley for last year.  How much more confidence is there in this team not being completely screwed if Allen misses a few games now?

  7. Look at Mack’s contract, it ABSOLUTELY, could fit for the Bills.  With very little effort, they can make it work, the problem is for the Bears, they get killed with Dead Cap.  I doubt they would take on the dead cap hit, but that said, maybe there is a deal in which they want the cash more than the cap, so they are willing to throw this year away, and a first round pick gets them in contention to get up to draft a QB they actually want.  I’m guessing it’s going to take this year’s first and nexts, plus a little to make it happen, but who knows.  The Bills could throw down and proclaim they are going for the championship this year with that move.

  8. Honestly, I think their moves will pay off.  They are going after the weakness of defenses in the league.  Everyone has moved towards smaller/faster, so BB rolls out the power run game and creates match up problems when you go to a run stopping set up and they throw to the TEs.  Same sets for multiple plays.  Laugh now, but I think he’s going in the right direction.

Well statistically they have both out performed Sanders in virtually every way since they entered the league vs what he has done in the same time frame. - DCofNC

So now I’m the irrational fan for comparing Samuel and Fuller to Sanders since 2017... because I followed YOUR logic to illustrate YOUR point?

Genius... you said that Fuller and Samuel outperformed Sanders in every major statistical category since they entered the league... you were just flat out wrong. It was false... you said something and expected nobody to check you on publicly available information?

He hasn’t put up jack in terms of YPC... it looks the same as Samuel? So Samuel is a speed guy who hasn’t put up jack in terms of YPC then too? Fuller our produced him in 11 games... why didn’t he play 5 more? Maybe because he’s an actual injury prone player (playing ~50% of possible games in 4 years)? Oh yeah... that’s it. Nobody said Sanders is a superstar... I sure didn’t... but neither are Fuller or Samuel... that’s the point.

YOU made the claim that they outperformed him and failed to back it up. The burden of proof is on YOU... you failed to do prove that. It has nothing to do with being a homer, liking Beane, liking this signing and has everything to do with you making an irresponsible post and expecting people to just believe you.

If you hate this board because you’re called out for ***** posts... sorry?? You’ve failed to contribute anything substantive in this thread... it doesn’t seem like you’re part of the solution in making this board better... so don’t gripe about anyone else other than yourself.

Ok, here we go.  First of all Fuller got suspended, not injury, so try again and he out produced Sanders in 11 games.  Know your “public facts”.

Sanders doesn’t hold a candle to Fuller in YPC or YPT, he’s fairly even with Samuel.  He offers zero in terms of the running ability that Samuel brings and he’s 9 years older.  The only argument you can make for signing him over either of them is Beane did it and I like him. You can argue that in 2020 he had Taysom Hill for a few games, but nobody is excited to claim Teddy Bridgewater as their guy either, so try again there.

Either way, he’ll probably have a good season here, he’s going to a pass happy offense as a number 2 with a TRUE 1 opposite him, and one of the best on the league throwing him the ball, so you can self validate at the end of the year.

  10. 12 minutes ago, The Jokeman said:

Sanders had a 1400 yard receiving  year his 5th season. Fuller and Moore haven't topped 1000 yards yet in any given season. Sanders might not be in his athletic prime like Samuels or Fuller but has a better track record IMO.

There it is, in his 5th year he did something and it’s been 5 years since he’s broken 1000 yards.

Now we have the Bills homers running in to show me that a 10 year vet outperformed a rookie who converted from RB to WR at the NFL level.  Oh nooo.  You have a speed guy who hasn’t put up jack in terms of YPC vs 2 guys who are just coming into their prime and comparing Fuller to him w Fuller out producing him in 11 games last year.. ohh super star status here.   I hate this board, the ratio of rational people to complete Beane homers is 1: 900
