Frez the point is they get there, while each year a different team takes the place of last years flavour of the moment....you demean the Sox effort to suggest the Yankees just crumbled, truth is Boston and Yankees two very rich teams have played one another 52 times over the past two years , with game seven's result it makes it boston with 27 wins and Yankees with 25. Hardly in any of the series Yankee have played in the past number of years have theycrumbled, pretty much they have gone the distance in length of series, foolish to even suggest they crumble, more the case is a team is not going to win all the time, , Yankee fans are most fortunate that for a long period of time they have had a shot and been entertaining It just cannot get any closer. If it makes you feel better to overstate your case , be my guest, but the fact remains the Yankee have the owner who has the resources to see to it they will have another shot again and that is just a fact. I am not interested in ragging on you I am aware folks hate Yankees its been that way for almost 65 years I have followed them, the same comments you make now were made in the 30's, 40's, 50's , right up unto today. At times I wonder how baseball would be with a world league came to be and the Yankee chose to participate leaving the rest of baseball with nobody to hate and fill their stadiums when they come to visit, it would be hell for many not to have a team to hate, what would they ever do, without a villain. What has struck must about the just finished series is how many have dwelt on their hatred of Yankees and seemingly paid so very little attention to the great skills or the team they claim to be fans of. Little talk of great hits, stolen bases, homeruns, great pitching s and smart managing, just smack of hate , somehow that just cannot really be that much fun...

Sue somewhere around Feb 18 just a few months away pitchers and catchers report and a week later the rest of the team and who is going to say George will not do his level best to put the finest team on the field he can, Yankee fans are fortunate

Thats kind of who i was thinking of, year after year, it seems players going around amen corner on Sunday at the Masters making decisions to lay up , or go for fives in two, these are thought processes where clearly guys are looking at the leaderboard and reacting, Sady Van de Velde had played fabulously and then rolling up his trousers and trying to hit out of the water , never will forget that and the groans of all watching, just had to feel bad for the man. Gregg Norman gets similar rap the difference being he lost to guys who played well better or just made great shots ,no choke sometimes you lose. Same deal with lefty got rap for being choker, as he had come up second so many times, not way he choked more a case of being to aggressive. Choke can be such a flat out wrong label, it demeans and doesnt give credit where its due..
-
I see choking as making errors, not going all out, making foolish mistakes, ect. calling teams chokers can really demean great efforts, the Red Sox put forth a great effort won two games in as close a fashion as possible, a third with the issue still in doubt in the final at bat and each team had a blow out, over the past two years these two have played 52 games against each other the Red Sox winning 27 , the Yankees 25, it just does not get any closer, chokers just does not fit here any more than did choker fit last year win Boone hit homerun to decide things for Yankees. Results show that these teams could play a hundred games a you come flip the difference between them.

No doubt that the Yankee's will go out and find pitching for coming season, for Sox this was their year the parts were and are in place. next season they have 16 free agents who will be able to sign elsewhere "16" , yes many changes will be coming. It certainly has been now two very special post seasons in baseball as exciting as any since the playoff format started in 1969. Changes are ahead, in the East divsion Baltimore, Jays and Tampa Bay are all closing the gap between Yankees and Red Sox, the three lower team with very excellent young players signed to good contracts, it is not going to be as easy for Sox and Yankees to dominate we were all very fortunate to see these two rivals compete.

Congrats to Boston AND New York

They needed to make trade for Randy Johnson and couldnt get it done. And its funny but Boomer sure would have helped a great deal.. both lefties....

tough thing about playoffs , baseball like hockey , football, often tickets are taken up by non fans more corporate types , often the stadiums are not like they are during the normal season , the regular fan are not able to get tickets
-
Sterling talking about Pedro taking his jacket off looking like he is getting ready to get warmed up, he could go a couple and give Sox a huge lift.
-
absolutely...... i am telling better to through the manure around there then here, I am getting my overalls on right now.....
-
Hey you , Yankees have 21 outs to get one more run than Sox at end of the night, they look dead in the water right now, but sometimes the worst thing is to get early big lead, teams lose their focus.

They were hoping Brown could get through the first few innings and loosen up , he has back problems if his back either stays tight or gets tight his pitches flatten out and easy to hit , when he is loose his ball sinks and gets many ground balls. The former happened tonight....
