  1. How about tearing down the goalposts before the game? No one has every done that before!!
  2. They had 4 of the 7 that year. http://www.rotowire.com/blogs/blog.htm?sp=...date2=2/17/2007 Interesting article from Buffalo's WGR Radio about a campaign by Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to reform the NFL's TV blackout rules. I see the NFL's point on blacking out home games with unsold seats, but I think the rule is outdated and can limit fan interest. If people don't want to go to a game in bad weather between bad teams, that shouldn't necessarily restrict people from watching at home. NFL tickets are expensive, and many fans don't have the option to go to a game, especially a non-desirable one. They should still be able to root for their team on TV. Here's the article: The Buffalo Bills were responsible for four of the NFL's seven blacked-out games during the 2006 campaign. Chuck Schumer is asking the NFL to help knock that figure down to zero. "It is in the best interests of the Bills and the NFL to have the widest possible fan base for this team," Schumer said. "The NFL needs to do everything it can to prevent blackouts next season." According to a press release from the senator's office, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell "pledged to work with Senator Schumer and the Bills to help shape the schedule to lessen the possibility of blackouts" in 2007. Schumer thinks the rise in blacked out games is due to the fact that four of the Bills home games were late in the year against teams that "were less than optimal draws." He also noted that the Bills have one of the largest stadiums and smallest markets in the NFL. Schumer urged Goodell to put opponents like the Jets, Giants, Cowboys and Patriots toward the end of the Bills home schedule to ensure the best possible draw at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Bills' other 2007 home games are against Baltimore, Denver, Cincinnati and Miami. Posted by Ted Rossman at 2/15/2007 12:53:00 PM
  3. It was 2006. [edit] Unprecedented sell-outs Through week 11 of the season, all NFL games had been sold out, and for the 24th time, all blackout restrictions had been lifted. [5] The streak was ended by the Jacksonville at Buffalo game in Week 12. [6] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_NFL_season http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nf...ustration_x.htm You were saying???
  4. The NFL sells out every game in every stadium. I hear you but every game is sold out these days. In fact.. A few years ago.. The Bills were the only team not to sell out every game.
  5. How does a team start 4-0 and finish the way we have?? Here is the real question Name the team with 6 wins or more that we beat this season? Give up?? No one.
  6. WHen you read between the lines Sullivan finally has his answer. Dick Jauron signed a contract extension with ole Ralphy boy and cheap Ralph is now trying to change the direction that the bullets are flying... Because he sure as sh-- does not want to fire a guy he is on the hook for 3-5 more years....
  7. This tells me a little more of the real picture of the Buffalo Bills season when I look at our schedule and our opponents current record. Seattle- 2-10 W Jacksonville 4-8 W Oakland 3-9 W St. Louis 2-10 Arizona 7-5 L San Diego 4-8 W Miami- 7-5 L Jets- 8-4 L New England 7-5 L Cleveland 4-8 L Kansas City 2-10 W 49ers 4-8 L Simply put this team has 6 wins against 6 terrible football teams. This team even has 2 losses against 2 terrible football teams. Seattle, Jacksonville and San Diego are teams which I put more value in the victories than I should have. We have not beaten a team with more than 4 wins this season. How do we go from 5-1 to 6-6... Well... We started playing decent football teams. What is sad is this has to be the easiest schedule the Bills have played in 10 years and still no playoffs.
  8. The guy had a job!! Tony Romo the jerk cost this guy a days pay. Reread the article.... :-) :-) :-) "hustled across the street to the consignment store that paid him to occasionally pass out fliers and requested the day off. By the time he got back to the theater, Role Model had already started.
  9. I agree with this. It should not be acceptable behavior to get drunk and be a complete !@#$ to opposing fans. Have a drink, enjoy the game, cheer hard but be civil. Just so you know being a drunk !@#$ bills fan does not make you a great fan. It makes you an !@#$ who chears for the Bills. In Indy we razz opposing fans but in a way that is much like yu razz your best friends. We then tell these fans where go to dinner and what to do in the city. And you can think that is dumb but it is no wonder why we host events like the Final Four and Superbowl. Now 97% of fans in Buffalo are great fans but the 3% are giving true Bills fans a really bad name.
  10. Yep he is crazy. But Davis has one of my all time favorite quotes. On the hiring of Art Shell. We did not hire Art Shell because he is black. We hired him because he is Silver and Black. Love that quote..
  11. Edwards was injury prone in College and has had his share of injuries the past year... At 2-0 having JP guide us for 2-3 games is better than many of the alternatives that dont know our offense. It has been too many years since the playoffs... A third round pick.. is a small price to pay. No thanks. I will be just fine with losing him next season..
  12. Well at least it wasnt or the Packers starting DT that could be converted to LT...
  13. The curse of the Buffalo Bills Running Back continues.. OJ- Killer Thurman- Drunk Travis- 9 kids, 9 moms Willis- At least 3 kids 3 moms Marshawn- Hit and run...
  14. Ok. Frank Reich maybe? Marcellus Wiley?
  15. The Dallas Cowboys have Calvin Hill (I think that is who it is) on staff to help mentor problem players. I think Neon Deon also helps. It got me thinking with former players like Thurman and Bruce that have had certainly their share of problems with the law when they were younger why not invite them to be part of the staff to work with the Lynch's, and Hardy's of the team. I am not saying Lynch has been a problem up until this recent case but just that it seems that having a former player on staff to work with the younger players would have to be helpful. It would be great to have them part of the organization again.... That and with this team being so young having these guys around couldnt hurt bringing back a winning culture to the franchise...
  16. With a little work this guy could be the next.... Kwame Cavil.....
  17. He can buy her off all he wants but he is still going to have to stand and answer to the authorities for the hit and run portion of his crime.
  18. First off. I hate the Patriots... but.... It is not bigger than the Black Sox scandal.... The Sox intentionally lost the World Series for gamblers. The Pats stole signals... How is this different than what goes on in Baseball? Teams always try to steal signals in baseball. The difference with the Pats is that they videotaped... This is where they cheated and the main area of where the Patriots were wrong but lets not get carried away..... Throwing a game intentionally is a little different. Listen. Again..... I have to ask with the number of players/coaches from the Pats that moved on to different teams how did teams not know this and adjust... Film is watched over and over to the point where signals or not teams pretty much know what is coming. Football is a game of execution... How was the fact that the Pats were doing this NOT common knowledge throughout the league..... Football is a game of adjustment as well. How is it that a Coordinator did not use this to their advantage... If I were the OC here is what would go through my mind.... I will show the sign for a screen and run, the sign for a run and do a little play action and go long??? You want to try and cheat.. Cool.. I am going to F with you all day long and make you my bitches...
  19. Here is what I simply dont get.... We trade for Drew... Sign Lawyer... And yet somehow our signals still get stolen. At any point does a former player say to his new team.. Hey guys... When I played for the PATS we had cameras and employees whose sole purpose was to steal your signals... Just spitballing here. But WE Might want to cover them up or mix them up.
  20. Jeff Saturday = Kent Hull.... Went he retires Peyton will/should folllow.
