  1. Dorsey is putting all kinds or personnel combinations on the field today
  2. Playing a lot of single high safety today Edmunds nice pursuit!
  3. Replay looked like ball crossed before knee down Does matter now!!! JA is the man
  4. Players are telling Josh to shake it off in the huddle
  5. Diggs catches 40 yard pass qnr isn't on the field for the next two plays...Dorsey is still learning. Josh WTF
  6. If the field is that bad perhaps we should forfeit?
  7. Not when they are 7 to ten yards down field. All tackles are not the same. He has played well this season until last week. He really was bad. He took horrible angles and was blocked several yards downfield on multiple occasions. Two things can be true. He has played well and he had a bad game. Let's hope he has a good game today without Milano on the field.
  8. True fact. Las Vegas has one of the highest sudden cardiac death survival rates in the country. Many believe it is related to cameras and security everywhere, such that when someone does have a cardiac arrest it is seen more quickly and CPR started earlier.
  9. Flew to NYC this afternoon.Went to NY Philharmonic concert. Will be at the game tomorrow. Weather is amazing. NYC marathon is tomorrow. Could make getting back yo the airport a challenge. Great NY city weekend.
  10. White, Edmunds, Bernard/Elam, Milano, Rousseau, Ford, Bass all started or played extensively in their rookie years. I dont think there is an actual philosophy to red shirt guys. I think the guys that aren't good dont play that much.
  11. Ford, Epenesa, and Moss are massive busts. Too soon to say about Basham. Every GM misses. Just odd that Benae has missed in the second and third round and has had better success in the later rounds.
  12. Thanks for the insight. I'd agree with your logic but I have no info one way or the other on how often they did the quick kick and how effective it was. A net over 40 yards still seems impressive. As you said there would not be a designated returner deep but there would be nothing stopping a defender from picking up the ball and running with it. No idea how often if ever that occurred. As for technique, seems to me the punter standing still and getting to take a full step and leg kick would have the advantage over a player closer to the LOS who was potentially moving laterally. The roll could be significant as you stated. As it stands if this was common place and I will take your word for it that it was, it seems Baugh was the best of his era as there are no other guys listed from that era.
  13. Thanks for posting this. I did not know this about Baugh. What is even more impressive is if I am reading that table correctly he is #1 in Net Punt yards which is actually the more important punting metric.
  14. People don't like it but modern NFL defense is to get pressure with a front 4. And even more frustrating in 3rd and long to rush 3 and drop 8 in coverage. It is the safest option to prevent big plays which is what this defense does well. I think we all get caught up when the blitz works well and forget about the times when the opponent burns you. Also there is other ways of getting pressure rushing four with stunts, overloads, and zone blitzes.
  15. I wonder if they called Giants first to see if they could get a 7th. Giants have to be in top 6 or 7 on the waiver wire order so at least 3/4th of the league didn't think enough of him to claim on waivers.
  16. So I don't get it. Are you then saying they just don't run the same play enough? Kelce scores on the little shovel pass from Mahommes almost 100% of the time, but that doesn't mean they run it every game. Have to keep the opposing defense guessing. You can run a similar scheme but from a different formation too. Or you can score multiple ways. The little WR screen to Diggs worked great last year. I have not seen them run that this year that I recall. But this year he has already caught two TD passes on RPO's. Fans get all caught up in play calling when 90% of it is execution. Run the ball better in the red-zone and that will open the passing game too.
