  1. I disagree. And I wouldn’t be shocked if we go this whole draft without one. I personally have wanted Hakeem Butler the whole time. But I don’t think this front office will push for it just because this board I had a hard on for DK Metcalf.
  2. Agree. We don’t have to take a WR just because they are all going. Why don’t we start a run on another position instead. I wasn’t Ferguson at DE. I just think he plays aggressive. Then fingers crossed or trade back up for a TE later. WR is a luxury if we get it. But don’t force it at this point.
  3. TE’s play on special teams typically. I guess if he is taken that high he most likely wouldn’t. But he’s an option until eliminated.
  4. McLaurin I see as a strong option if they don’t go WR early. Cause he for sure contributes on special teams. Plus he’s a deep threat.
  5. I feel DL, OL, or Hock in the 1st is the smart move cause that’s the top tier talent. So ideally we get the best of the top tier. Also I think Deebo Samuel is amaze balls and that’s who I’m crossing my fingers for. I fee he can play the outside as well as the slot. AJ Brown I think can play outside too. Quite frankly there are about 5-6 WR’s I wouldn’t mind so long as we grab them at the right spot. That being late 1st or anywhere in round 2. At the top of round 1 though I think it’s got to be big men on the line. DL specifically if the value is right. I am hoping 2 QB’s come off the board before our pick. Not likely but I’m hoping.
  6. I won’t lie. The idea of a dominating WR on our team is very appealing. Is it DK though? I just am not sure. Why do do you feel DK is better than Hakeem Butler? Wasn’t Butler just as imposing as a WR? I feel like Butler is the least talked about WR stud in this class. Seems like N’Keal Harry gets more hype than Butler. But Harry struggles with separation which will only make it harder in the NFL I feel. But what part of DK’s game do you believe separates him from Butler. You don’t have to convince me how he might be better than Harry. I’m already sold on him over Harry.
  7. Fair points. But to compare him to Moss is ridiculous. Moss coming out had been a dominant college player. DK May have show flashed but hardly had dominated games. Also the biggest knock I have on DK isn’t any of those things. It’s his questionable hands. Which to me if you’re taking someone in the top ten at WR then their hands better be unbelievable. Sure they may develop. But did Ted Ginns hands ever really get better?
  8. Except Randy Moss has amazing hands and healthy college production to back it. DK looks great and may end up being great. However he hasn’t ever put up great numbers. Wasn’t even the #1 WR on his team. Film vs Greedy from LSU shows he struggles. He outweighs Greedy by about 40 lbs too. In years past most agreed on the top tier of WR’s. This year it’s a crapshoot. With the top talent in this draft I would be shocked if we took DK. There’s just way too much better talent out there. Talent that’s showed they can produce.
  9. I can't recall where but it was saying someone in this draft has the same issue as Montez Sweat but he already had it fixed. It is a relatively common fix...or something like that. I may be wrong. It is a freakin heart so maybe it is a bigger deal than I interpreted it.
  10. Have to believe if we stay at 9 we get a difference maker. Not just a "hard worker". I trust Beane though. Even before this FA I trusted him because he finally started dumping stupid contract which I have thought all along was a serious issue. Think of how many previous seasons the Bills have barely been in play during FA. Now all of the sudden we are players this year and next year is shaping up the same way. Like we finally have someone who knows WTF they are doing.
  11. I like Dillard. I just want so many other guys before him that I didn't include his name. Japan Taylor I realize he is dominant at RT. If we feel he can play left then so be it I am on board. It just scares me to take a RT that high.
  12. Looks like he might need shoulder surgery too? Also he is just one of those guys I feel like teams take off their board after interviewing him because they just don't want to deal with his crazy. I want to love DK but there are just too many red flags for me. I don't think he has produced enough to warrant a top 10 pick. In years past the top receivers have been obvious on all teams draft boards. This year I feel like multiple guys could be the first selection depending which team ends up picking a WR first.
  13. Personally I like the following: Unrealistic (praying for some dirty tweets, a run on QB's early, or medical information to come out about them a few hours before the draft): Quinnen Williams- for obvious reasons I fell like he can help control a game. A player the offense will have to game plan against and that makes everyone on defense better. Josh Allen- Can't help but think about how much better we became once we traded for Biscuit. I fell like he would be that kind of difference maker. Next level defense. Wherever we play him. Realistic (I imagine if things fall right then one or more could be available at our pick): Ed Oliver- I realize measurable become a real thing int he NFL but I feel like his speed translates no matter his size. Jonah Williams- Just watched his first draft video. Hard not to like him. His film matches up. I am pretty sure he will be productive at the NFL level but I realize he can't impose his will on the defense. Probably my only hesitation with him. TJ Hockensen- I am not going to compare him to Gronk because that is not fair to him. I do understand both arguments for him but I fell like if it immediately improves our run offense as well as our pass blocking offense then why would he be of any less value than a LT or RT? Also I think this guy has the right "DNA". He and Jonah Williams I think our the type of players our front office wants on the team. However I feel like at 9 we do want to lean towards a game changer. That being said a DT taken in the 1st is probably a rotational player. One could argue that Hock is able to stay on the field on all offensive plays as well as multiple special teams plays. More to the argument of the value of multi threat TE here over a OL or DL....just food for thought. Montez Sweat- Leads me to this pick. He has the measurable and production. I really think that if he is there we should consider him (heart condition and all). I just feel like this might be the best shot we have at a player who could take away a game. Show up in the 4th quarter when you need a sack and beats the double team to win you the game. Devin White- I would not be upset at all. I don't care where he plays on our defense or where we shuffle guys to. This guy plays at a speed we absolutely do not have. I love Milano and Edmunds. Devin White however changes our run and pass defense immediately. Kid can cover some WR's at the next level I think. Players I hope are off our draft board: Rashan Gary- I just don't see it. He had something like 5 sacks as a DE. Also he seems like a tool. If you are going to be that confident then you need to be able to back it up with production. Brian Burns- Someone has to sell me on him. He just seems to small for me. I can't see him adding enough weight to play at DE. Where does he project? Reminds me too much of that Penn St. DE Aaron Maybin who we drafted. Kick me in the crotch that was a horrible pick. DK Metcalf- YEs he is beastly but just too many drops and oft injured. There are other guys who I feel like are just as good that will be floating around at our second pick (Hakeem Butler possibly). Too many question marks for Metcalf at 9 I feel. Noah Fant- Unless we trade down which I eliminated from this scenario. I hope this isn't in consideration at 9. I am not saying he isn't a talented player. I just don't think he contributes to the same level as Hockenson. I realize those are thoughts. As a Bills fan for so long I am bracing for disappointment because it has happened so much. So I am only allowing myself to get emotionally tied to those in my "realistic" category. I think my biggest man crush is Ed Oliver, Montez Sweat, Hockensen, and then Jonah Williams...in that order. Some of them I like more for their looks...some more for their personalities...some because they put out (production). I can't be too picky. Make your case!
  14. One could argue that having an absolute dominant defense allows Josh a Allen more room to grow. Then he doesn’t have to stress about taking chances and learns to play without fear. Knowing that his next level defense is able to go and get him the ball back.
  15. Seems like to me they already have one. Bigger, faster, stronger. If you notice in all the pressers the players keep saying that. I’m guessing that’s what is being preached to them.
  16. Jones gets separation. However catching is a different story. I only am saying I think that the front office likes them more than most here. Zay was in almost all offensive snaps. I’m not sure if that’s because they think he’s got potential or if he’s the only WR out there who knows the responsibilities. There’s a lot of times you see him helping the other side outs line up correctly. Maybe from all the reshuffling of our WR corps last season they had to rely on him more. I don’t know. With Croom maybe they played him more because Coy was always injured so they couldn’t lean on him how they wanted to. Also so they were just my observations. Some thoughts sprinkled in. Everyone is welcome to their own thoughts as well.
  17. I guess I could rephrase and say it differently. Something along the lines of “We lost two very winnable games at the fault of special teams”. I’m not implying we had a better record or that we were a decent team. Far from it. I was trying to demonstrate how incredibly close to a 9-7 record we could have gotten. All that with quite frankly a pretty poorly talented offensive roster. 6-10 last season but I think it’s very fathomable to think we take a major jump. 10-6 or 11-5 is what I think we can pull off with some decent contributions out of this draft.
  18. Chances of us trading up I think are slim. I don’t think they feel this roster is anywhere close to being finished even with all the FA moves. They want premium picks. Unless they fall in love with the Kentucky Josh Allen during their 30 visits. But I think they need to hit on their first 3 rounds and maybe even a 4th rounder. I’m with the majority here who think that they’ll use as many lower picks as possible to move up. Maybe slide back or fourth in round 2, 3 or 4 to get targeted players as well as pick up possibly get more ammo to move around in round 3 and 4
  19. I never forget to shower. As I grow older I realized I sleep better if I just give in. Sometimes I will brush my teeth in the evening around 8:30 or 9:00 just in case I fall asleep watching tv with the Mrs. That way I just roll off the couch and walk straight to my bed. Boom!
  20. Sunday sitting around and my wife and kids wanted nothing to do with me. They were still on my dvr so I just started from the beginning. I’ll admit there was a couple times I dosed off. Sunday naps are the best!
  21. First NE game was competitive only cause our defense kept us in the game. It did slip away quickly in the 4th. But yes the second NE game is a main reason why I feel our defense still has a long ways to go.
  22. All valid. I realize it can easily go both ways. But we were close in those games. On the other hand we got beat handily by the Ravens, Chargers, Green Bay, and Chicago. The optimist in me sees improvement throughout the season and I’m not saying anything is a for sure thing. Just saying I think we are trending in the right direction and this front office seems to see the issues that the fans see as well. Unlike previous front offices who would make bizarre offseason moves.
