  1. In those cases we need to send our players to the magical Dolphins tent where brains are rehabbed over commercial breaks. In all seriousness, I thought he got his bell rung with that hit to the side of the helmet, but they were working on his abdomen.
  2. Have to take Chase away and take your lumps elsewhere. He is where Joe goes when he needs the big play, much like Diggs for Allen. Force a QB to have to go somewhere else and they hold the ball just a bit longer for the rush to get home. They have a lot of weapons so if you are picking your poison, you could do worse than trying to stop Chase.
  3. Not sure, but they were working his foot around and he was pounding fluids so cramping maybe??? We will see, but hopefully nothing serious because things seem like they are starting to click for the kid.
  4. That's a reasonable take. I have more respect now for how much Daboll was able to reign Allen in without taking away what makes him special. That could not have been an easy thing to balance. Funny how some things come into focus only after someone moves on. Dorsey is also a very emotionally charged person (we have seen this and Allen has alluded to it) and Josh is Josh, so we may be in for a roller-coaster ride for as long as they are paired up.
  5. It is not unreasonable when your defense has given up a long time-consuming drive that ended in a score to NOT have your offense go out and pitch a 3 and out of low percentage passes that puts them right back on the field. Dorsey has just shown too often this season a lack of situational awareness that he needs to correct. It's not about taking shots against cover 0, it's about taking them at the right time. There is value in slowing things down and trying to work the sticks at certain points in a game.
  6. Other than some 3rd and very long plays they continue to give up, I thought the defense played pretty well. They had a few opportunities during those few long scoring drives where they could have gotten off the field. Just needed better execution and tackling. Regardless, they were not the reason this game got as close as it did.
  7. So easy to see Daboll's fingerprints on the Giants offense. The way receivers are expected to block downfield, designed QB runs...
  8. He was an curious selection with how much zone we play, BUT having a DB that can play man when needed is never a bad thing. Zone can be taught and executed by more DBs, but good man coverage depends more on raw athleticism IMO. There are a lot of teams that rely heavily on timing routes and disrupting timing is key. DBs that can jam and redirect WRs off the line are key to playing those teams and DPI rules seem to be getting more relaxed which increases the value of DBs that are physical. Miami is very much a timing offense and Mac is not great off schedule so we do need that skillset.
  9. This sounds like when my teen kids would argue with me. Just exaggerate for dramatic effect. "So fine, if you won't buy me a nice car I will just have to walk to school, and fail everything when I am late every day." "Well, there is a bus son." The offense played well enough to win and poorly enough to lose. The adults can probably handle discussing both.
  10. Sorry, my bad. Thought you were talking about the 1st that ended the game. Will delete my reply.
  11. They may have decided not to follow Hill and rather just let Tre play one side and Elam the other. But yeah, I saw both on him throughout the game. Elam is pretty good at jamming and playing press, a bit more natural at that than Tre.
  12. It's his game management and feel for Josh's game that folks question. And this season it has been spotty with plenty of head scratchers. Allen is going to need an OC that does not kill the great things only he can do, yet be able to reel him in with the right play calls when he is pressing too much. Dorsey needs to demonstrate more of that.
  13. We have receivers that can win those quick routes, and when Allen leaves the pocket often you will see Cook or Motor just standing in no man's land ready to take a shovel pass past the sticks. Dorsey needs to scheme more of the former, and Allen has got to look at doing more of the latter. If nothing more dumping those off to his RBs with no one around them not only will move the sticks, it will save Allen from unnecessary hits.
  14. And KC.... too tall an order. But they play the Bengals a lot so who knows. Divisional games can be hard to predict.
  15. My only key to winning this game today was no turnovers... They did not need heroics, just solid execution sans mistakes. I don't blame Beasley for the INT. That was a DPI for the past decade.... But knowing how that is being called this year Dorsey has to think twice about lobbing passes to the flat when we are deep in our own end of the field.
  16. We have a magical way of digging unnecessary holes for ourselves to keep games too close. There are things to clean up I will leave it at that. Good news, it looks like Tre is back and perhaps the light has turned on for Elam.
  17. Hard to tell with the extra foot and change they had on the virtual line of scrimmage they paint on the screen Have to look at the sideline sticks.
  18. Shush that business or Dorsey will start thinking about his 3d chess playbook.
  19. Tre can get heated too, not sure if he is the best counselor for anger management. They got to get on Miami for the multiple delay of games. Shakir with the great hands and no sun in his eyes.
  20. It's pretty much what they did to force the Beasley turn over... I don't get it. The NFL competition committee has to come up with something more consistent for DPIs than what we have seen this year. It's all over the map.
  21. I don't get DPIs anymore. Just shake the magic 8 ball.
  22. I was screaming get your big clown shoes in bounds.... Whew.... to close.
  23. Yep, and stop posting usually.... nothing real good to say when our Bills do things to keep teams in the game. Elam can certainly highpoint those balls and has hands. Don't want to jinx the kid, but he was thrown into the fire with little experience playing zone and we play that a lot. Takes time we will see if he develops into that bookend DB Special Teams has got to tighten up....and keep that crowd away from our returner on punts. Had a guy blocked into the bouncing ball last game.
