One thing that is becoming apparent in these close games we’ve been playing...this team believes that if they can just keep hanging in there Josh is going to do something to win them the game kinda an odd feeling over recent qbs here

This was a total team effort, but I agree. I'd love to see them shock a top 5 team in the league  (well the remaining top 4 because we are in that 5) with Josh putting the offense on his shoulders.

Which also highlights how no one has yet come within light years of Marino’s ‘84 season.

I don’t even know what the equivalent would be in today’s NFL.  5500 yards?  6000?

Football is a team game. I've always been in disagreement that an NFL quarterbacks worth is their amount of Lombardi trophies. There are so many factors in a team making it to a Superbowl like having a good defense. I honestly believe as a hardcore Bills fan that Marino was the greatest pure passer the league has ever seen. I think Brady would've got knocked around more in that era and retired much earlier.

  3. The guy has been here since 2013 and it's time for some new blood. How many losses can be attributed to Special Teams this year? Blocked kicks, whiffed punts, guys jumping out of their lanes. I know the Bills obviously weren't going to make a run at the playoffs this year, but next year I feel like they have a chance. Lets not let horrible ST play potentially cost us a game or 3. I guarantee he gets canned by the end of the year.

Edit: I see this topic has already been started unsurprisingly. Sorry!

I'm still in shock over just how fast he is. Dude pulls away from LBs chasing him like they are stuck in quicksand. It almost mitigates the ability of a team to put a spy on him...they can spy him but he can simply still just outrun the player like he did a few times yesterday.

Pre-draft I honestly thought he would be closer to Aaron Rodgers as far as his running speed. Bringing him down is another big obstacle. Tyrod Taylor was more flashy with his runs, but Allen is more efficient and MUCH harder to bring down. I'm in shock too. Buffalo absolutely lucked out.

I love these quotes in the article...

“We knew he could run,” Bobby McCain said. “We didn’t know it was going to be that excessive. He can really run, man. He’s got something over there.”

“I mean, Josh Allen, I feel like he’s going to be a good little quarterback in this division for a long time,” running back Kenyan Drake said. “He’s not sneaky athletic. He’s just athletic. He makes plays with his feet. I feel like the next time we play him in a couple weeks, they’ll make adjustments for us; we’ll make adjustments for them.”

  5. I was pretty impressed by the Dolphins performance as well. They are a tough team and it was a great game win or loss.

Allen is a gamer and he's going to be a superstar just based on his toughness and the way he plays even if he doesn't put up monster stats every year.

Other players around the league are starting to take notice.

I think Peterson is an anomaly and is genetically superior to everyone else. The year after he ruined his knee, was one of the most amazing things I have ever witnessed in sports. I have always thought he might be the best RB ever.

I do think Shady can be a big contributor into his 30s. Ideally I would like to see a shift into a committee approach. The wear and tear can be controlled without much of a dip in overall production.

    OK Hitler.

Not that you care cause it seems your making a willfully dumb thread, but in the 60s the CFL was much more like the USFL of the 80s, it was a true alternative league to the NFL , was full of NFL talent and players often chose the CFL over the NFL or at a minimum it was just a notch below.

How is this a dumb thread? It's better than every other thread that's basically a clone of each other. If you don't like the thread then don't reply although thanks for the informative answer.

Factually incorrect. We were an AFL team. In the second year of its existence.

Well. technically we are in the NFL now.

  8. So according to Wikipedia and some random guy commenting on Youtube that referenced this fact on August 8, 1961 the Tiger-cats of Hamilton beat the Buffalo Bills in a exhibition game 38-21. I consider myself a die hard Buffalo Bills fan and I have never in my life heard this before. Prior to that there were 2 other exhibition games against Steelers and Cardinals where both CFL teams lost. So adding to the fact that we are the only team to lose 4 Superbowls in a row, we are also the only NFL team to lose to a Canadian team. Go Bills!
