That's a helluva lot of first rounders on the d-line. There are no first rounders on the o-line.

I get a little bit of an Aaron Maybin vibe in regards to Rouseau so I'll admit that it scares me. Tall, lanky defensive end w/ one monster year, but has loads & loads of potential.

Regardless, Beane and McD have no more excuses. With five first rounders AND a mid-second rounder, they better start producing!

All in all, I have faith that we will have an efficient pass rush coming this season. I can't wait! 🙂

In the 90s I was as a grade/middle schooler.  The Ewing/Starks/Oakley/Mason days.  Then basketball fandom just kind of waned on me all together.  I didn't even know they were a good team until I opened your thread.

If you're into watching Knicks games from the 90's/early 2000's , I highly recommend his channel.  He has a lot of gems

Oh yeah. I love the old 90s game from the Bills and Knicks. Andy Provin's got a lot of good stuff from Bills, but I don't have a good throwback channel for the Knicks yet so this is good. I appreciate it.

Even the Jags have fans. I’ve met a couple, so about half.  :)

I think the NBA is much better when the iconic franchises are relevant. The Knicks are a major market equivalent of the lesser market Browns. They are a franchise that seems to need a new owner to ever get anywhere.

EDIT: Might I add Chronic and Knuckles seems incongruous? Maybe chronic and BarcaLounger is a better fit?  I prefer the more passive option....

    .

Agreed. The owner is absolutely terrible. Gotta stick w/ chronic for now. Never get a DUI.... lol

Not a Knicks fan (Celtics for me), but I know a lot of them...it would nice to see the Knicks relevant. It has been a long, long time.

I agree. It's great to be relevant again. They play the Sun's tonight, a top team coming off a loss.

Celtics have a fun team too. Tatum is a beast and Marcus Smart is really good also.

So....You've gone through Brandon Beane's presser with a fine-tooth comb. You've debated and argued the comparative merits of pass rushers, corners, and running backs with everyone on The Stadium Wall. You've scoured Youtube highlight videos and analyst's big boards. You've done 50+ mock drafts on the Draft Network's simulator. Your thinking cap is worn out and you're ready for draft night to just GET HERE already!

I want to know, fellow Bills lunatics: Who do YOU think the Bills will select with their first round pick? Not who you WANT them to take, but who you think they WILL take. Not a list of five different players, not an "if, then" scenario, just a simple answer: Which player will the Bills take in round one? Let's see who among us is Carnac the Magnificent.

    I'll start.

I believe that with the 30th pick in the draft, the Bills will select Joe Tryon, EDGE, Washington.

I know, I know: You've probably seen him listed as more of an early to mid second round pick. I don't buy it. He has prototypical size and athleticism. He had college productivity (8 sacks and 12.5 TFLs in 2019). He has burst. He has a high motor and solid football character. He posted an elite RAS. We know Beane and his staff like toolsy prospects.

Value wise? Dane Brugler has him ranked 32nd and Daniel Jeremiah has him ranked 35th on their respective big boards. Benjamin Allbright stated recently that not enough draftniks are talking abut Tryon, and that he will get drafted higher than people think.

When Brandon Beane talked about drafting for the future and getting someone who may not start this year, but can learn from players that might be on the last year of their deals and then can take over next year, I immediately thought of Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison. BOTH will be free agents after 2021, and the Bills simply cannot keep kicking the Edge rusher can down the road. They have Epenesa, sure, but they need another guy there with some juice and star potential. Tryon will learn under two great veteran rushers this season and, if all goes well, he and Epenesa will take over as the top two guys in 2022.

Whereas I believe the Bills can find a starting caliber corner in round two (and IOL/IDL/WR help later on), I do not believe they can find an edge with much promise much beyond round one.

So that's my take, TBD. How about you? Who do YOU think the Bills will draft on Thursday night?

I was in the draft a RB squad, but after some thought I think they will throw a curve ball and grab a CB. I just have that feeling..

I'll be really disappointed and confused if Allen DOESN'T become a national star and get endorsement deals and commercials.

If Allen has another season in the same neighborhood of productivity as he did this year and the Bills keep winning, why WOULDN'T companies want him as a pitch man?

He's a smart, funny, engaging, well spoken, charismatic, high character guy and an electrifying player.  He has "face of the league" written all over him.

It the counter argument is "he plays for a small market", well...my counter arguments are "Aaron Rodgers" and "Baker Mayfield". Both play in small markets. Allen has more charisma than the former and is more likable than the latter.

Idk. Baker is pretty likeable too. He gives Cleveland that attitude they so desperately needed. He's a leader like Allen.

Too expensive, often injured, and on the decline.

What? Besides last year he's only missed 4 games in the past 6 seasons while posting 1400+ yards in each one of them. One season does not make a player injury prone.

Also, you say on the decline? He put 771 yards in only NINE games last year. What does that project to for a full season?

I do agree on the compensation it would take to get, but if they somehow did (which they won't) you can't deny you wouldn't be excited af

  7. They are currently on a 9 game win streak. Julius Randle is having a break out season, RJ Barrett is coming into his own, and they currently boast the best defense in the NBA!

If anyone has followed the Knicks then they know they have been very disappointing the past 2 decades. It's so amazing to be both a Knicks and Bills fan in 2021.

I'm heart is hoping they make a run for the championship, but my gut is telling me it's going to take one more star player to get them over the edge like the Bills trading for Diggs.

What do you think, NBA fans?

what does this even mean? Are you saying the story is fake?

It means what I said. TMZ are paparazzi dirt bags. Yeah, the "story" is real, but why even report something so insignificant. Diggs friend borrowed his car and got a flat tire? Lol This does nothing, but try to throw dirt on Diggs' name and raising a non-issue. Journalism at its best. How would you like your personal life broadcasted to the world?

I trust Beane will go for the best player available in the draft.  We don't have a ton of holes.  But, if we were drafting for position to help in 2021, who would you want to replace with a RD1 pick?

Tight end. 288 yards for your starting TE is pathetic in a high scoring offense like this. I'll be VERY surprised if they don't go for one in the top 2 rounds.

Brady isn’t wrong. There is a reason they had rules for the numbers. Great comments by Brady, even though I can’t stand that guy I respect him as a football player.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Tom Brady blasts 'dumb' new NFL uniform number rule

TAMPA, Fla. -- While several NFL players expressed excitement this week over a newly adopted rule that allows more flexibility when it comes to the numbers worn on players' jerseys, Tampa Bay Buccaneersquarterback Tom Brady is not at all a fan.

Brady took to Instagram on Thursday to express his dissatisfaction with the rule change, believing it will cause safety issues for the offense, such as identifying blitzers or who's the middle linebacker of the defense.

Good luck trying to block the right people now!" Brady posted on his Instagram story, with an image of the new numbers permitted. "Going to make for a lot of bad football!"

Brady then posted a screen capture of a story about the rule and directed it to the NFL and NFL Players Association, with the words "DUMB" and "Why not let the Lineman wear whatever they want too? Why have numbers? Just have colored jerseys...why not wear the same number?...DUMB."

The NFL's new rule, adopted Wednesday with a number of other proposals, allows quarterbacks, punters and place-kickers to wear numbers 1-19, defensive backs 1-49, and then running backs, tight ends and wide receivers 1-49 and 80-89. Offensive linemen can wear 50-79, defensive linemen 50-79 and 90-99, and linebackers 1-59 and 90-99.

Sorry, but I have to agree with Brady (for once.) This is just a stupid money grab by the NFL. The game has changed in so many ways for worst over the past 15 years. It's no where near the sport it used to be, but with that being said I still love it to death.

  11. Hmmm... I got completely flamed for posting a thread asking if Ed Oliver was in danger of being in BUST territory and how he isn't playing close to his draft position. I guess it's about who ya know...😒

This past season a number of drafted players on defense didn’t perform up to expectations.

Ed Oliver. Excuse: was playing out of position at one tech.

Harrison Phillips. Excuse: was recovering from injury.
Tremaine Edmunds. Excuse #1: was compensating for bad DL play. Excuse #2: was too young.

A.J. Epenesa. Excuse: was a rookie.

Most of the above excuses are pretty solid. That said, they all go away this season. By the end of the year we should know what we have or don’t have with all four players.

This "out of position" crap had been going on since his Houston days. Football players produce. Now if he was playing Safety I would understand.

Last season was the first time Buffalo Bills fans didn’t have to watch their team play against Tom Brady at least once in a season this century.

But that will change in 2021 when the Bills travel to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When will the game be? NFL VP of Broadcast Planning said on the “Sal Sports and Stuff” podcast that Buffalo is “absolutely in the conversation” to play the Tampa in the NFL season kickoff game.

If they lose I guess it'll be a wash considering we play Washington the last game.
