I remember sitting through a terrible MNF game at 3Rivers in 1993 as a 15 yr old, watching the 90’s elite Bills get taken to the woodshed by the Steelers for a 0-23 final score…but we still came back to the Super Bowl that year!!

Favre is such an enigma to me—loved his play on the field (that game against the Raiders right after he lost his dad was a scriptwriter’s dream), but off-field he’s been a whirling dervish of controversy and poor decisions…suing McAfee being right up there imho. But to hear he has Parkinson’s is something I’d never wish on anyone, regardless of their life choices.

Patterns are fine and dandy, but at the end of the day each year is an entirely different team and story to be written, given the roster churn outside of a core group—and this year you almost can’t even say core group for anyone outside of Allen and a precious few holdovers, so this is all new territory imho! Maybe no one has told the new guys yet that they have a script to follow? 🤔🤓

What a smorgasbord of choices…anyone in the AFC East is automatically tops as that’s always our first hurdle, then the SB teams who beat us…will never forgive nor forget…but Chiefs and Pats will have to flip a coin. What an unlikable bunch of punks we’re forced to be in a league with!!!

Maybe the best part of this trend for us is it’s tougher for D’s to key on just your 1 or 2 playmakers to try to take them out of the game, like the Hoodie used to always do—it wouldn’t matter much given the Swiss Army knife capabilities we have now?
