I know people are gonna joke here, but I don't want a DC in the division who knows Allen that well and can tell McDaniels about what he expects McDermott to do.

In fairness, he also knew about Mahomes pretty well and that didn’t help stop KC all that much…🤷🏼‍♂️

If I was a Ravens fan, I’d be about at my wits end with Harbaugh.

    And Lamar.

But winning 1 ring does give you a super long leash.

Steelers fans are in a similar headspace with Tomlin, but their ownership believes in a monarchy type coaching system for life, so no chance of any changes there either?

  3. Will immediately buy some SB merch and obnoxiously wear it everyday everywhere, starting with the victory parade in Buffalo that I will purchase overpriced Delta tickets for to attend with my son. Oh, and leave a recording of the Shout song on my nephew’s voicemail, nutter Chiefs fan that he is! (Doubtless we had to beat Chefs in the playoffs to get to the SB) 🤔.

And also will be reflecting on the ghosts of our past, those 90’s teams that captured my heart and imagination as a youngster, and how this day would be affecting them as well…

  4. Not sure how much stock we can put in the presser for foreshadowing future FA signings, when he said much the same about how we have no money and then found hundreds of millions for Von, for example. He will go after players he thinks will make an immediate impact in free agency, I have little doubt!

  5. I guess I’m just missing something here? It’s literally in the name—“comeback player” that says to me coming back from…[whatever you choose to insert as the place you wound up], where you might not have ever come back from. Pointing out previous winners can’t account for an on-field event that’s never happened before. How many other clinically deceased players have come back to suit up for their team after a year? I’ll hang up and listen.

He had his wife sitting outside in a fur coat during that freezing playoff game in KC when he had the means to get her in a suite. I already knew then what kind of guy he was.

    “But not a real fur coat, that’s cruel!”🎶🎤 🤓

  7. Our family usually places informal bets against each other as to how many “Go Bills” we will get during the day whenever we are out basically anywhere and I’m wearing some kind of Bills gear. Usually we wind up underselling the actual number. I don’t expect that to change much going forward—I definitely agree there are bad apples in any fan base—but overall we are definitely no worse than whatever that average would be, and likely better than for a lot of other rust belt cities, imho.

  8. Here’s Joe Marino’s analysis of the playcall at the 13:46 mark:

in short, he says those who think it was the wrong play/read, don’t understand progressions or have situational awareness. Agree or disagree, he offers an impassioned defense of the play design and the call.

  9. Mentioned this before, but there’s something to be said about owning up and taking hard questions from the media after a game like this—say what you will about our QB mistake of Peterman, but go back and check the tape—he never once ducked out after a miserable game. He was on that podium every time anyone wanted to talk to him or not. Always respected that part about him. Diggs just has to make everything more difficult than it needs to be, as now we are all here speculating about his off-season mindset and will he or won’t he turn prima donna on us…

    I watched Josh last night.

(Edit 2: I am referring to the End of Season presser Josh held yesterday.

I did not see the end of game presser because I was crushed, as usual.
The OP started a thread about EOS pressers. )

This is going to come out wrong and be taken to mean what I’m not intending but:

He seemed too chill about losing. He said the right things. He gave the right answers. He wasn’t happy but he seemed resigned to it. Like a beaten person.

Remember the anger on here for Mahomes’ act after the first loss. It KILLED him to lose against Josh/Bills in the end of a close game. He wasn’t supposed to lose!  Mahomes and Kelcie and Reid were NOT losing this game.

I think Josh is at the point of, What else can I do. Record breaking performances and they still beat us.

    Edit: End of season presser

I can’t stomach to watch McDermott word drool into a mic. A pox on him and his process.

The actual end of game presser he did was very very raw and you could tell he was absolutely sick about that game ending.

Because two people skeejed the Game Balls thread from me the last two weeks, I started working on it way too early.  I wanted to be ready to post it immediately after the game.  Sorry.  I feel shame.

Clearly it’s my fault for skeejing one of those game balls threads from you. The ripple effects in the universe were incalculable, swallowing up our D and kicker in its wake—and I sincerely apologize! 🤷🏼‍♂️
