So FEMA finally shows up in Kentucky today
VABills replied to VABills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
FEMA Under Scrutiny for Ice Storm Response in Kentucky http://www.insurancejournal.com/news/south...02/04/97594.htm "We haven't seen FEMA. They haven't been here,'' said Jaime Green, a spokeswoman for the emergency operations center in Lyon County, about 95 miles northwest of Nashville, Tenn. The Kentucky disaster will be closely watched, said Richard Sylves, professor of political science at the University of Delaware, particularly because Obama hasn't yet named the top FEMA officials, many of whom must go through Senate confirmation. Brocton Oglesby, director of emergency management in Hopkins County, said he has seen virtually no contribution from FEMA in the county, where more than half of the 27,000 homes remained without electricity. -
I was listening to WTOP this morning. they were so happy that he admited mistakes, the woman was almost crying for joy over having a Pres ready to admit he messed up. Whatever, do we really want a president to publicly apologize everytime something happens?

It's NOLO who cares about NOLO. -
He'll be mentioned in the same breath with Losman.

Where is the outrage that 2+ million people have been without food, water, esentials of life, dozens dying freezing, and the federal government has done nothing for nearly a week. meanwhile it gets only worse. The governer has been asking the Messiah to declare a disater area, but the Messiah not only can't find time to go see these poor souls, he doesn't see fit to send his FEMA director.

Yes that's how I describe them and several others from that genre. I am not clammoring for AC/DC either. I think that the NFL could find some more mainstream bands that represent the region. For example, play in Minnesota, then get Prince. Play in Toronto get Rush, play in NY sure get Springsteen. As far as bigger acts, maybe, maybe not, but I have never been a fan of their music and just because someone puts on a great show doesn't make them a good musician.

Mine just died and I replaced it with the 265T. The free traffic alerts are good if you live in an area where they send them. There are some tiny ads that show up on top when you're stopped but for free lifetime traffoic, who cares. Very good unit and the only one that actually uses the route that I knew was the quickest to work, so I am assumming the routing everywhere will be best. Only had it for a month so I don't know all the goods and bads. -
Rochester officer shot in head with back turned
VABills replied to HelloNewman's topic in Off the Wall Archives
But I thought it was illegal to have a gun if you're 14? You know I read if you make something illegal it would never happen. If we made all guns illegal no body would ever get shot. Actually, I am shocked that we don't have one of the police haters here saying the officer probably did something to deserve it. -
In about 3 years add another dog to the mix. That way when one is put down the other will have a long time companion. That is what my friend does, he adds another dog to his mix every 3-4 years that way he usually has 3 dogs going and one is not overly distraught when when one is removed.

Philly and Denver I know for sure have uber-hot cheerleaders. Chargers I hear are good, but no first hand experience. Skins used to be good, but alas no longer. Texans, are okay, but Philly and Denver..... two thumbs up.

I have a lab myself. Only 4 but someday that day will come. I had a friend just go through it and he kept it up for nearly a year. Dog had several problems and couldn't really go outside by himself. Had to replace his rugs once and ready a second time. he finally put his dog down when he kept using the statement it's about quality of life. Dog was happy, wagging his tail, etc... I said to him one day, it wasn't about the dogs quality of life, but also his, and his family. They had no life becuase they had to constantly monitor the dog. he had the dog put down that weekend.

yeah I don't get it. Didn't they have it in Detroit 2 years ago and they brought Rolling Stones in. WTF.... You have all those great mo-town bands and singers and you bring in a wanna-be beatles band who had their day 30 years ago.

Never been a fan, and Sunday made it even more painful. He's always had a poor singing voice, but he looked even more scuzzy than normal and sounded worse than a dead John Lennon.

So do you pay SS for all the hookers your hire?

Isn't there about a 20 page Palin watch thread on here? Just with various stupid things people found out about her and her family that was started after the election. Knowing that she wouldn't be in national office, yet they kept going.

I don't know about Dashle, but Geitner said he did his own and made a mistake missing several things in Turbotax. So he's either a lying cheating bastard who got caught or dumb as a box of rocks. Either way do we really want him controlling money?

Biden messes up oath for Hillary
VABills replied to erynthered's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Hillary and the Messiah are just setting themselves up as a technical out in a coiurt of law when they get caught. They can say that they didn't take the "right oath" therefore they are not board by the rules, laws, obligations of the office. Sort of like when a criminal is let go because the police screwed up reading the rights. -
The messiah breaking his policy again

Only because he was caught. Can he now pay penalties for mis-reporting since he isn't a big-wig anymore? -

Dude he did. Dude, it wasn't just about the driver there were other things. Granted the driver was the biggest, but DUDE, he cheated and someone at that income level should know better especially since he was a key member in getting those tax codes implemented, along with Rangel who sits on that committee. BTW, DUDE. -

I can't find the quote , but didn't Daschle about 10 years ago say something to the effect that paying taxes is one of the easiest and most patriotic things an American can do? -
Other news - Iraq actually had a free election today
VABills replied to VABills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You're responding to the wrong person buddy. Also, Iraq never had free elections. It was vote for Saddam, or we'll change your vote and kill you and your family.
