Probably he won't but he's also missing a bunch of key defenders and their back ups.

It doesn't feel like we're capable of even slowing them down. Offense needs to go for 7 every time AND get the ball last.

We played ok in that half but we also got the ball first and last (20 seconds doesn't count) and are only up 4.
If defense can stop them and we can get another score to open the 3rd, I'll feel a lot better about our chances to hang on. So far we've only held up inside our 10.

Well that was underwhelming. I don't mind taking the shot but Sherfield isn't the guy and he was covered.

We're giving up everything until they get in the red zone. As long as we keep scoring TDs we can win like that.

Klein doesn't pick up Rice coming across the field for the first down and then gets picked on to Kelce for another first down.

Not great but given we were 3rd and 17 on our 20 yard line it's good we at least got points.

We're going to have to go there. Klein was key in the Steelers game but playing him vs. Mahomes isn't going to end well.

I did, and I thought it was extremely one-sided. Basically, the author set out to make a pro-Allen video where he emphasized areas where Josh looked good and handwaved or ignored completely areas where Josh did not.
He did the performance in losses comparison directly with Lamar only, not pointing out that Lamar had fewer losses and failing to point out Josh had way more turnovers in losses (12) than Lamar. The handwaving of the turnovers in general was weird. Because they didn't happen in the clutch, they don't matter?? Author also lumped turnovers in with sacks when looking at negative plays. How does that make sense?
Even still, much of the pro-Josh stats the author illustrated were also pro-Purdy, Dak, and Mahomes. But those guys didn't get their OC fired. It's funny how we've all completely forgotten about that, and about Josh's early season struggles taking the easy play over the home run. This season was supposed to be about turning Josh into a pocket passer who didn't take as many hits. Turns out Josh needs those designed runs to be elite. Are we supposed to pretend like the Jets, Pats, and Broncos games didn't happen?
So really, his case is mostly about TDs. A good portion of his rushing TDs would have gone to a RB on any other team. We lost Harris early and Cook is small, and so we elected to start giving it to Josh inside the 10. He deserves credit for that but a lot of those TDs are just canabalizing RB production. They're goosing his numbers. Purdy also has goosed numbers playing with elite weapons, but his statistical profile this year was one of the greatest seasons OF ALL TIME.
Josh definitely deserved to be in the top 5 for MVP given his overall production, but you have to handwave so much to get him to #1 imo.

This sucks. I was really hoping Texans might pull off a miracle. This Ravens team is no joke even though there are many about Lamar itt. We need to not only win but get some important guys back, and maybe get some turnover luck. Baltimore is looking like one of the truly elite teams of the last 5 years.

If it wasn't Lamar, it should have been Purdy. I think it was Barnwell who pointed out that Purdy had the 4th greatest statistical season of all time by any/a+. Dak had a better statistical season as well. Mahomes was about the same as Josh and arguably had less weapons.
Josh will hopefully prove he's the best player in the NFL with this upcoming SB run, but as for 2023 MVP, No.

This Ravens defense looks ferocious. Really hope Texans can find a way to pull this off.

Taron claimed he could have gone back in the game vs. Steelers. Take that for what it's worth. God help us if he doesn't clear.

Counting on Bernard to give us anything in this one is probably wishful thinking. Klein, Dodson, and Williams will need to get the job done somehow.
Douglas and Johnson being able to go is perhaps more realistic from everything I’ve read.
Bottom line is the offense needs to sustain drives and put up points for us to advance. It isn’t realistic for the defense to continue bailing us out like they did so many times this year. We’re just too banged up now.

There was no fake slide. He stopped like he was going to maybe let up but he didn’t. It was an amazing play.

Manning had the MVPs, Brady had the SBs. In this case, Mahomes has the MVps AND the SBs. It's the not the same thing (yet).
