I know from personal experience that if I'm getting a ton of physical exercise then I get an injury and cut that out sharply, I can gain a lot of weight super-quickly unless I really mind the calories right away.

That makes sense although your last sentence is key. So it took him at least two months to make an adjustment? Just consuming 8k calories like it’s game time but then hitting a movie or something? Yikes, seems concerning no matter how it’s framed.

Belichik and the Patriots didn't it for years and is one of the major reasons why they dominated the AFCE (and entire league) the greater part of 20 years. Remember our old friend Lawyer Milloy?

I like Hyde and Poyer and they've been great players for this team. This is not  up for debate. But I think all the warning signs are there if you trust the local media pundits in regards to both of them looking a step slower in camp/preseason.

Your example of "all of the truly great GMs" is a singular Bill Belicheat reference from years ago? Lame even for you.

Hyde essentially missed all of last season and is on the wrong side of 30. And now alas we are hearing about a back injury (which is obviously not a minor problem for anyone that has had back issues)

If it was up to me I would have moved on. Also there's a reason his running mate didn't get much interest on the FA market either.

This isn't an example. this is just more vomit spin. Examples of hardcore fantastic GMs consistently cutting old productive vets, please.

The truly great NFL GM's in this league know when to move on from aging veterans and it was a massive mistake bringing back all these guys, especially at their current contracts.

Please provide some examples of your nonsense - are you referring to Howie Roseman who has multiple 30+ year olds on his team including 35 year old Brandon Graham that just resigned? Or perhaps Brett Veach whose top offensive skill player is a 33 year old veteran that just got hurt again? Every single team has old vets.

You're clearly getting cocky but I think you should employ a less is more approach. Your desire to jump into every thread is greatly watering down your trolling.

  5. Troll predictions!

    - FilthyBeast starts covering up Tua trampstamp tattoo by roughly Week 5 as the season starts to slip away

    - AirSeven consults thesaurus for new ways to say "inconceivable" while stroking cat

    - Araiza Curse's Mom forgets to wire him internet money in October and we lose him for roughly a month

Would love to hear yours as well

You guys act like having an opinion different from yours means you are negative or trolling. Yes, it is nice that we have had a pretty good team with a good QB for the first time in a long time, but last I checked the goal was to WIN THE SUPERBOWL. As our team ages and the competition improves, we are not getting closer to that goal but just the opposite.

It's not negative criticism that gets called out, it's clear and obvious trolling. There's like five that do it regularly, and Araiza Curse is like the dumb new kid of the group just now learning subtlety and trying to get away from vomiting up clear troll attempts. Just look at his circular brickhead responses.

Kdiggz for example seems like a real poster with real concerns, however I think the real posters often find themselves supporting the troll idiots and giving them life because so few other real people share their genuine concerns.

Regarding the massive hangover story, yeah I didn't like it but 1) we have no idea how common it is for Josh 2) I don't know why you would be "convinced" Mahomes doesn't ever do that.  First off, do you follow Mahomes content thoroughly and carefully?  Second, it's not as though his "Quarterback Producer" mom and brother are abstainers.   We know at least one Chiefs assistant coach was drinking hard at work, so it's not like the Chiefs have an abstinance culture.  Maybe Mahomes parties but he just doesn't have "good friends" who tell stories about it on him on their podcast interview, so how would you know?

The only QB I'm pretty confident never drank to excess was Mr Avocado Ice Cream and I don't eat Tomatoes, Tom Brady.

Just Mahomes general Kermit the Frog aw shucks demeanor. Him being a dad. His insane wife. I don't know, he strikes me as very much Avocado Ice Cream in the robot mold of Brady as well. Could be completely wrong of course, but I've seen Josh with a beer several times on top of this (off the top of my head - Sabres game chug, several golf tournaments, the softball tournament) and am coming up empty thinking of Mahomes. I really don't think it's a big deal, more so just a curiosity mover.

  8. Well to be fair Giuseppe you recently trashed the city of Buffalo in one thread, and straight up said you dislike Josh Allen personally in this one. That's not exactly constructive criticism. You didn't just say you were concerned about his habits you said "I dislike him as a person" lol.

I'm not the least bit concerned about Allen's training or preparedness but to be completely honest the massive hangover story is a slight bit eyebrow raising. I'm pretty convinced that Mahomes doesn't really ever do that, even occasionally.

  9. Seems this has been debunked, but very surprised by the lack of Las Vegas Raiders mentions. Makes little sense with the already scare Crosby/Jones combo I know but that's exactly what the chaos agent Raiders do, now with Vegas flair. Always contenders to make a splash at all times.

  10. Good for him. I think people just overestimate the talent in this league, it falls off a cliff after the upper crust. Just look at QB - there's maybe 15 good ones? Now look at a list of some of the back-ups, some of it's hilarious. Is Sean Clifford still the back-up in Green Bay? I don't even know wtf Sean Clifford is. I feel like some of these guys win American Ninja Warriors Challenges and find their way on to NFL rosters as the #3.

It's dismal out there. Ford is probably still a nearly above average talent all things considered.

  11. Uh, Wentz. Him and Josh have a connection too via Craig Bohl. Add the fact that Josh just said on the McAfee Podcast that Beane is keeping him aware of personnel decisions, which leads me to think that he's offering his opinion particularly for his support at least, and Wentz seems like the frontrunner.

Not a fan. Would prefer Colt McCoy or maybe even Zappe now. McCoy is as lame and vanilla as they come but he's also one of the best bonafide #2s of the past decade. Regularly steps in to start and win games as recently as last year, has won games as a back-up for the past three on a bad team. That's all I really need.

  12. The Epenesa inclusion is suspect. You can't really compare the 54th pick to the 7th in terms of suspected output, and while AJ hasn't exactly become a force in the division, he was certainly productive with 6.5 sacks last year in limited time. I'm actually kind of excited to see what he can do this year. That's about what you might expect from the 54th pick - relevancy and production.

This made me curious about what DEs were selected ahead of AJ in that draft: The list:

    2 - Chase Young

    20 - K'Lavon Chaisson

    38 - Yetur Gross-Matos

    47 - Marlon Davidson

    48 - Darrell Taylor

Wow that's far worse of a list than I expected. AJ is pretty much the clear #2 DE from that draft, the later rounds don't get any better. Now maybe you can argue that Beane should have gone elsewhere, but DE was a position of need and he ended up grabbing arguably the 2nd best prospect, sixth. That's pretty dang good GM'ing.

  13. I can't get over how old Rodgers looks in everything. I really do think NY is going to be more like Denver's situation last year than a SB contender. Tua is also arguably playing past his luck at this point and is one hit away from the Fish not having a QB. I don't get the hype either. The Bills are still the proven class of the division.
