This is about all it took to suck a bunch of the remaining excitement out of me, I don't care if it's Week 1. I was pretty optimistic heading into this season despite all of the chatter, didn't agree with much of it. The ONLY thing that could have changed my mind was a complete Josh rewind and that's exactly what we got.
It's Year 6 and I don't want to hear about how bad Burrow was this week. A start to the year like this against a division rival is near inexcusable. It's not the L so much as the way he/they did it; just weak looking, confused, the exact same stuff that we've dealt with for years that multiple members have already noted. How are we not at minimum overcoming the confused Josh era?
And all against Zach Wilson lololol. All of the hype was Rodgers in NY this year. The Jets weren't projected to be SB winners because of potentially Zach Wilson, it was all about Aaron Rodgers. I think I limited any enthusiasm for his injury but a good team would have capitalized and not crumbled. This is going to be such a tough loss for the entire season.

He doesn’t want to overindulged in watching films. He prefers to rely on his in game instincts. Unfortunately for fans his instincts are to jump over linebackers for no apparent reasons and passing up easy throws to thread the needle into the opposing db’s hands.
Apparently as of today it’s also diving three yards short of the first down.- 3

Anyone notice Diggs slowly walking off the field after the Jets winning score? He looked.....well, not happy. I don't blame him one bit.
I saw him after the game and he looked extremely unhappy but with flashes of putting on a smile for opposing players and media. Diggs is Diggs, at worse he doesn’t have the best poker face but that’s about it. Biggest competitor on this team it seems.

Screw Favre, that’s Vinny Testaverde

Yeah. Think so. Year 6, man.
Already seen some use Burrow’s performance as a shield but if it weren’t for that alone then there wouldn’t be a single excuse. He has to be better than this.

So is it on the receivers not getting open, Josh not finding them, or poor play calling?
Seems like we're reliving the same problems as last season.
Seems like we’re also completely agreeing with each other lol. I said the exact same thing in my initial reply.
Some analysis and time is needed but I doubt it’s primarily Gabe considering everything else that went down tonight.

I said the Digges effect. Was Diggs open on any of those throws past 20 yards? UH no...
It is in JA head that he has to throw to Diggs all the time. That is an issue.
Wait, let me make sure I’m following this…to you the “Diggs Effect” is this belief that there’s influence over Josh to force the ball to Diggs, which explains Josh’s poor performance and even absolves him of some of it?
dude…

We got beat by Zach Wilson again.
I'm tired of these excuses and I want to see improvement and accountability or this team isn't sniffing the playoffs.
I agree?
Not sure how it’s an excuse to point out that targets weren’t spread out and were concentrated on Diggs. Hard to put blame on Gabe of all people with 4 targets
-
Putting the koolaid down for the first time in about 3+ years. I’m not buying it man. Something is off with Allen and I’m not just talking about the weird sidearm push throws that he made a few times tonight. I’m going to need to see a couple of vintage elite Allen performances before I get my hopes back up.

Lol that Zach Wilson face. Boy has never been happier.I can’t remember anything like this in sports and I’m nearly 50. Anthony Rendon maybe? But four plays man, seems unprecedented. So much hype

First catch was in 3rd quarter? Not what I expect out of WR2.
Completely agree but only 4 targets. Can’t tell how much of that is on him, Dorsey, Allen but I suspect it’s not much his fault. Offense didn’t spread it around much at all despite all of our supposed weapons. Our big boy TEs had 8 targets combined.

I forgot Davis was even playing tonight.
Initial impression was that he actually looked really good on his very few opportunities

If he really said that, that’s crazy. I’ve never heard that from a pro QB. It would speak to some major issues, even though everyone would say that don’t exist.
Yeah man he sat down and seemed to say “same ***** different day”(?) after letting out a long sigh? No idea what that was about.
Also seemed to have more of a southern drawl at points while answering. lol wtf is going on

Josh starting his presser with "same s different day" is concerning.
I worry about his confidence and the coaching he's getting.
Alright thanks for confirming, thought I heard that too. What is going on?

The doubters were right about pretty much everything so far. But I don’t think anybody anticipated this Josh Allen meltdown. He’s too experienced and is supposed to be too good to start a season this way. Kind of open to any and all weirdo Allen theories because something is clearly off. Why does he look like he’s sidearm shotputting some throws?

Is Allen throwing weird?

Why not, other snacks would have knocked it down
Tre 100% could have played it before Wilson tipped it to himself. Tre was outplayed

Great catch but he set it up and completely outplayed Tre
-
This is now as bad as it can be.Not even sure if the win could make up for how terrible Allen looks.

He never flops like Burrow, that was all Allen

Josh and Dorsey just need to survive themselves. Sucks to say this still but we can get to that later, just close this out

To really complete the drought vibes, that was a great punt. Will take it!

Kincaid looks good!

8 combined targets for our TEs by the way, don't believe that's been mentioned.
8 targets would have been borderline low for Dawson alone on opening day, but we also drafted a TE freak with our #1 this year. 8 targets for both? They were both on the field blocking and running routes, why so little involvement? You can essentially beat an entire TE into the ground in terms of production with the talent that we have at the position. I was expecting TE heavy and it was kind of just more TE afterthought.
To keep it more on topic, I liked what I saw with Kincaid but will need to review the lack of targets to see if he had any impact. I suspect he didn't. Kincaid alone needs 10-12 targets man.
