I rarely post, but feel I owe the community an outlandish projection. And I have earned the right.

    - KNEW that Allen was the Josh before the pick when 90% of this board had Rosen.

    - Picked Oliver as the target.

    - Sorta knew Kinnkaid was the man.

    - Strongly believed Diggs would be traded even though everyone claimed the cap was a no-go.

    - IDK, I may be in Beane's head ... that's why I need to type this. With that out of the way:

    Setting the stage:

    - Most teams now regard Malik Nabers as the #1 WR

    - MHJ dropped a bit due to non-combine participation.

    - Rome is showing up on more mocks out of the top 10.

    - AZ is going to cash in on a trade-down.

    - And if AZ doesn't, the Chargers will.

    - LAC could go WR, but almost everyone expects Joe Alt.

    - The Giants likely shut out of QB convo, will go WR

    - TN is all about an OT. Maybe like LAC.

    - Bills signed L Collins.

    - Diggs was not the only player feeling their oats on Twitter. D Dawkins was there too with his predictions. And post-season, with the googly eyes hoping he would get his extension. 3x20m.

    - LAC wants to move down, and TN needs OT too.

    The Terms:

    - If the Bills believe they have a replacement on the roster for Dawkins, he will be used as trade bait for LAC/TN.

    - Bills could then make that trade without exhausting this and next year's draft capital.

    - 28, 60, 2025 2nd for 1.5/7 + 4th.

    Projection:

    - 1-4 QB

    - LAC - Joe Alt

    - NYG select - Nabers, a diva in waiting. He will make Diggs and his passive-aggressive antics look like a straight-shooting choirboy.

    - Bills via TN - MHJ.

I may be overestimating Dawkins' return. And of course, misreading the tea leaves. But that is my Mighty Kreskin moment for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Great to hear from you Brandon 😂

Bills just paid Dawkins an $11m Signing bonus just to trade him a month later ? They really lighting  Pegs money on fire this offseason ..

Agree on how Mike Brown is, but this is a different day and age from 5+ years ago.

This stuff hits the main media guys and it's usually a new contract/long term deal OR they're shipped out.

We shall see over next couple days.  I'd think Cincy would want immediate compensation in this year's draft.

Those are great players, but Cincy would be in position to draft replacements/value where they are/could be.

Carolina trading #33 for Higgins makes alot of sense.  Tre, I think there's a decent chance he could get his deal re-done.

I know Carolina are pretty dumb … but i think they should definitely draft a guy rather than trade for Higgins at 33…

Odunze or bust guy here...no way we get to the other 2 imo....

This was our biggest need before trading Diggs and not swinging here is a mistake imo. The money we saved from trading him allows us to spend more money in UFA next offseason to plug safety and even C/IOL.

I don't see Beane risking a McDuffie situation and those are a lot of targets to replace. An $8 million FA WR and Shakir and Kincaid is not enough. IIRC, the bust rates in the top wrs is low, while the bust rate in rd1 wrs is well the next tier down and reaching for speed.

When WRs get paid with a QB, those 2 players are a third of the cap. This is a can't afford to miss position. I'm just not sure we can convince a team to drop all the way down to 28....

This place will burn down if KC makes a huge move up and we muddle around...

    Not seeing the logic ..

One of the Top 10 has to move down to 28 … for essentially 2025 picks .. why not just take Odunze instead themselves  if he is going to be such a difference maker? Or is he only a difference maker for the Bills?

    Joe B from The Athletic:

    7. Buffalo Bills (from Titans*): Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

    Titans trade Nos. 7 and 106 to Bills for Nos. 28, 60, 133, 160 and a 2025 first-rounder.

General manager Brandon Beane did his best last week to say he doesn’t think wide receiver is a glaring hole, but with only Khalil Shakir, Curtis Samuel and Mack Hollins as their top three, logic screams otherwise. Beane stressed last week that he wants receivers who are “smart, selfless and versatile,” and that perfectly sums up Odunze, who has the talent to be Josh Allen’s long-term No. 1 receiver. He also has the leadership the Bills covet and the versatility to start at X receiver but play across the formation. Having Minnesota’s potentially early 2025 second-round pick next year helps Beane justify sending away a major asset like their 2025 first-rounder. — Joe Buscaglia

Interesting that Joe B had us moving up to #7 previously for Nabers.  Now it’s Odunze

Gave up 60 … you would hate it ..

Assuming you can keep a semblance of a draft in 2025 and grab Odunze, I would do it. I like Legette and McConkey. If I have Odunze, I'd rather add McConkey, but no one should argue with any one or combination of them. That would be a home run draft for the WR room.

Ok…so  taking this to the full conclusion … would you do this if they gave up all their Day 1-2 picks next year ? So they would have a 4th , 6th and 7th … and a couple of comp picks ..

I haven't been a fan of the fast feather, but if they end up with both Xaviers, that could be a nice combo.

What about Odunze and Legette ?

Warrior Spikes splooging everywhere until he remembers that they got no picks next year and his Feb- Apr 2025 is going to be very boring …

Too bad for the Bears!! Hahahaha

    fair enough. Rumors

No doubt the Bills are gunna use that 60 to trade up and get Legette .. so that’s why you gotta hang onto at all costs..

  8. I think all of the Bills trade up/ down/ trade for an established player scenarios have been suggested by now … so one of the Twitter “experts” is going to be correct …

Geez man … you don’t want to give up that 60… 😂

The Bears need picks this year to help out their rookie QB…

Hmm… Looks like he might be running out of talking points .. Colson is 12/1 for the first round so hope he has a crack at that

If he was a round 1 guy he would have destroyed the competition at the senior bowl. He did not. He had 5 years in college and was only good for 1 of those years when by then he was 2-3 years older and more seasoned than everyone else. He has had a lot of drops. I think he can be a faster Gabe Davis type. Would you use a 1st round pick on Gabe Davis? I like him but not in round 1. To me he's a 2nd rounder

Wasn’t there some rumours that he was ill at the Senior Bowl? He was pretty ordinary on that first day of practice I recall …

Im not as high on him either … might have the “high ceiling “ … but that could be a few years off … move up in the second for him … no problem there if that’s what happens

Better throw in the Minnesota Second as well… just to be sure

I think he is a 5th round prospect. I would break my tv if the Bills draft him anywhere. But as much as I don't want it to happen I fear it is very much in play. He is their type, they have had him in the building.... but it would be a wasted pick.

Yours is the second TV going …

If you don’t have Kneeland going in the Top 2 rounds in your final mock … you have given up

They are not allowed by league rule to observe their players working out 6 weeks ago.

I think they and their doctors have spoken to Von and believe there is a chance he can get back. But it isn't based on any full physical assessment they have carried out. Because between locker clean out day and the start of phase 1 they are not allowed to do that.

My theory is he is washed. I don't think Beane agrees but I think that is based on a hope and an optimism rather than anything more substantial than that.

Their actions in the draft will tell me what I need to know…

If Beane had concerns … he probably makes a move like retaining Floyd … the fact the 49ers still value Floyd speaks volumes to me … if Beane has concerns about Miller,  than forgo Samuel and keep Floyd …

My theory is that the Bills are looking towards 2025. And the 2024 strategy is to go as far as Josh Allen can carry them.  Relatively inexpericenced OC's and DC's are set up to be the fall guys for 2024, if Allen can't carry them to the playoffs.  I don't think Beane is worried one way or the other about 2024 pass rush.

Not sure I buy that … he has got 8 Day 3 picks … but he still gets replacements for WR5 and LB4 in free agency …  he seems more than  thorough

But if that is indeed the case .,, He needs to be a little careful about how treating Josh like a pack horse carrying all the load ..Josh might not want to hang around forever either spinning his wheels during his prime years ……

So what do you think he will do? Beyond your "he has seen Von in practice and is happy" which as I say cannot be true because they are one week into phase 1 of the offseason, what is your theory?

Not last week .: They would have needed to make the decision 6 weeks ago when they could have done something in FA about it … Im assuming that they are ok with him…and must think he is a better player than what he showed last year..

What’s your theory … ? that he is “ Washed”  but they are still going to persevere with him ?

Washed to me means that the guy is finished and not at an NFL level anymore … kind of like what he showed last year … Why would they continue to persevere with him if that’s the case ?

I think Groot will start left end and Von and AJE will end us time sharing RE.

That is less than ideal. I agree. But there is no obvious route to improve unless they strike lucky on a dust settles guy in June or July willing to take a 1 year prove it deal.

Less than ideal is an understatement …

Beane is not going to “hope for best “ … he just doesn’t do that
