A lot of these experts are crying about the two second rounders that they used to trade up to 7....
Plenty of pre draft mocks I saw had them trading up to 4 or 5 to pick Allen giving up both first rounders and more...
It appears that these guys are fixated on them giving up too much to get to 7, but would have been happy to give up more to get to 4 or 5 for the SAME player...

Thanks for posting these games...
Have watched a couple... he is elusive for a big dude and appears that he is used to playing behind a porous OL...
-
Yep... way under for me...
Some one mentioned a couple of days ago that you bench him until the Bye in Week 11...
Play him the last 5 games if they are out of the running...

Get a decent RT from somewhere and Im very confident they win at least 7...
Their defence will be better than last year, and surely its not too much to hope that QB play is improved?? Not like it was a high bar set last year...

Nice. I mixed that up. Who did we take with the 5th we got from the Ravens?
Neal.
Wyatt was what we got for Marcel from the Jax trade... really hope that one works out as I think we sold a bit cheap on that one..

They also got a 7th in return so it was 22 and a 3rd for Edmunds and Proehl. Don’t see the need to have Edmunds be inducted into the HOF for it to be a good move.
I think they got back a 5th for this trade...
The 7th came back from Tampa Bay...

If the Pats called up and offered them 3 first and 3 second rounders I’m sure they would have been listening. As Gettleman said no one overwhelmed him with an offer. I find it interesting that they spoke about the possibility of moving into the 2nd slot and not the first.
That tells me they saw the Giants as a possibility.
So they are going to move all that capital to have Mayfield sit on the bench the next 2 years during Brady and BB’s last throw of the dice?
Seriously?

12 and 22 wasn’t enough for Gettleman but 23 and 31 would have got it done..

Remember last year in the preseason we were all clamouring for Brandon Reilly?
Did he actually do anything wrong?
i note now that no one is even projecting him to make 53..

More of a hot take then what i had originally put in the post,
I forgot to include AJ McCarron in the possible cap casualties.
We we know this staff is very high on Nathan Peterman and I believe if he comes to camp and wins the job, McCarron will be booted. We would lose only the $4.5 million we already guaranteed him, and save a little over $5 million next year. He’s on a very team friendly contract, and I think that shows McBeane’s faith in Peterman than it shows anything else.
I know he had an absolutely terrible game, but with that in the past, he showed a very quick release, decent arm strength and decent accuracy to build on.
No chance AJ is getting cut when they have already guaranteed his money this year and with uncertainty around JA and Peterman..
I can see them trying to trade AJ in March 2019 if JA is the man by then... he certainly has a team friendly deal...

I’m hoping there is someone there that we are not expecting much from that really steps up and surprises us ( like Milano last year...)
I’ll hope for McDermott at RT...

If only they would have done exactly what I wanted in the draft then I would be happy...

Not surprised given how much due diligence they did on him
Maybe all the due diligence they did would have made them overlook him at 22 just like every other team in the League?
Lets hope hey considering where he went...

Merged too many threads into this monster thread. Won’t be able to find anything
Not at all... anything that ends up in this thread a few days after the draft deserves to be in this cesspit...

Bills fans in the comments then insinuate that it sounds like Allen may have been a backup plan to Darnold or Mayfield, but Allbright reiterates that Allen is and always was their first choice at QB.
Take it or leave it, but that's what he claims.Allbright was always very bullish over the past month or so that Allen was going to be the Bills pick...
Doubt that means he had a direct line to Beane or anything.. maybe he just got lucky...
He back flipped repeatedly on the other QB choices so I don't think he can claim to much credit there....
He is still a major knob in my opinion....

Seems like a very smart guy...
I think he is a great fit for McDermott with his maturity, team first attitude and work ethic...
The Bills had this guy much higher than bottom of the 3rd in my view, and he was someone I was keeping tabs on during the last month or so pre draft....
I've got an inkling that they might have used one of their second rounders or 65 on him if they kept them...
They must have been sweating on each selection after it got past 80... I know I was..
