There are bars in the big cities such as Bangkok and Manila that carry NFL ticket, of course you will be up all night. Rule of thumb, if a large expatriate community exists you can find NFL ticket.

The games are kicking off at 1- 4am on a Monday morning … I would say that the bars that are open at this time in Bangkok and Manila are pushing other activities rather than sports watching … I guess it’s possible that there are certain places that might show the games ..but I can’t say I ever came across them when I was living and working in SE Asia a decade ago.,,having said that.. the game is many more times popular now than it used to be in this part of the world …

It sucks for the OP … but Asia is literally the worst place to watch NFL games in bars  with the time difference ..

Australia is not much better … the evening 9pm prime  time game in the US is shown with kick off 10-12am East Coast Aust …. The other time slots are too early to be shown in 99per cent of bars which are closed  …

No way on God’s green earth is there any chance of any of the last three games getting flexed.

Ignoring everything else really, NFL?  Really? Sure I think we are going to win all three, but it is just such a weak, uneventful finish to the season.

i think a major advantage the Chiefs took into their Playoff game against the Bills was that they were able to rest players in the meaningless season finale and then had a much easier wildcard game against the Dolphins … whilst the Bills had been in must win games for over a month …and had to slug it out against the physical Steelers …

I actually like things a bit more low key to end the regular season…rather than must win games against the big boys … Im not going to take those Jets for granted either .. they always save their best for the Bills …on the D anyway ..,

    Like the bye placement  …

The patriots sandwich around the Jets would be a nice way to go into the playoffs …

Just throwing this out there because we could have had OBJ over MVS if we really wanted to:

I would bet MVS's cap hit comes in pretty close to $2M. We intentionally chose him over OBJ as a player, not for financial reasons. We'll see how that decision turns out.

I wouldn’t  be surprised if they both play to their contract value….unimpressive

If MVS and Claypool don't make the 53, it's because MVS still hasn't learned to catch, and Claypool still hasn't pulled his head out of his butt.

As a Bills fan, I guess those facts would make me sick too.

MVS isn’t learning to catch between here and September

If this is legit he has us playing Jets on the road on MNF in week 6, and at home in week 17. Also has the Jets closing the season against Miami which would likely mean we close the season against the Pats.

That’s a tough schedule …probably not a bad time to play them away the week after their London trip….

Did I? There was a thread last week with a poll about which available vet WR would be the best signing and MVS was my choice in that poll.

Then again I'm sure two months ago I felt very different. When you've struck out at the bar for four hours everybody sudddenly looks hotter.

Perhaps my memory is a little faulty ..I can’t find the post to confirm one way or the other ..

I hope they don’t dont sign him now as it will confirm they aren’t trading for anyone better … I want to hold onto that fantasy a bit longer ..

Between his injury, Kincaid being integrated into the offense, and the change in OCs, I'm willing to give Knox the benefit of the doubt a bit, especially after he had put up back to back 500+ yard seasons.

His average receiving yardage over his five year career, including last year, is 393 yards per season. If you take out last season, which seemed like a bit of an anomaly, you get 445 yards per season. So split the difference between those and you get about 420 yards.

I think that, say, 300-400 yards and 5 TDs as the TE2 would be a reasonable expectation, and one that would certainly help the offense. Yes, Kincaid will eat into his targets and production, but then again, a lot of targets were vacated by Diggs and Davis, so it probably evens out.

I will leave it for other people to debate whether 300-400 yards and 5 TDs, quality blocking, and valuable depth are worth the money Knox is getting paid. I'm not really interested in that discussion. It's not my money, the guy already took a paycut, and the Bills are allocating relatively little to the position overall in 2024.

Ok…I agree that seems like a reasonable expectation… Im sure others will have him down for more …. I would suggest closer to 300 than 400 considering you are using an average which was made up of years when he was the TE1..

It doesn’t matter what anyone here thinks ,,.it’s how long Beane thinks it’s worthwhile paying  ( even with the pay cut) for that level of production … he could still be a TE1 elsewhere … so perhaps it’s even in his best interests to move on rather than stay here in a diminished role

With the dearth of quality receivers on this roster, I sure hope the answer to the question of "what will happen with Knox?" is "he'll play a lot and be a productive target for Josh Allen".

The production wasn’t there last season… but let’s see how he goes this year … what’s the over under you think?

Because you keep 3 TEs on the game day roster and you're not paying the Day 2 pick much anyway, why are you creating a hole on your team and hoping you don't miss with a draft pick, when you could keep the guy and by the time you have to pay the rookie his next contract will probably be up anyway.

They have Quinton Morris a UDFA as their current TE3… so I’m happy to have something similar … not a 3rd round pick … I have also said twice now that if you take him next year ,  you have a year to assess the draft pick first to make sure there are no Elam like outcomes before moving on from Knox

  11. 2 hours ago, Warcodered said:

You can do that and keep Knox, in fact that would make far more sense as the guy you take is going to be in the middle rounds probably so on a cheap rookie deal ideal to develop at TE3 behind Kincaid and Knox. Why would you leave the TE2 spot completely open in the hopes that you get a guy who can fill it when you can still have a guy and develop his possible replacement?

Why would I invest a Day 2 asset and keep paying Knox  ? Makes zero sense ..

Do it next year ,.. give  him a year to make sure he is up to it first … which he should be where you are picking him ..

Contracts coming up include Lawrence, Prescott, Love and Tua! So glad we got Josh taken care of when we did. Go Bills!!🏈🍻

Josh will be getting more money …maybe next year…

Why the salary cap is going to keep going up, makes plenty of sense to have a great TE and good-solid TE2.

I would prefer to try to draft a TE Day 2 next year who can take over as TE2 in 2026..

  14. 2 minutes ago, Warcodered said:

Right, if this isn't the writing on the wall of him transitioning into the role of TE2 on this team I don't know what is, only way he's gone is he decides to try to get overpaid somewhere else or performs so well at the right time that we're stuck picking contracts between two TE1s.

He is likely gone in 2026 … I don’t think the Bills will keep paying him what he is getting now on the revised deal… but its likely someone else will…

The extra second and extra fourth look good to me.

Don't know if that would do it but if it doesn't I would have to remind them that D Adams is available.

    What do you think?

Sounds good to me,,. Maybe the 2nd might get it done

I said pushing it because Seattle will already be taking a dead cap hit.  Trading out Metcalf w a $13M salary is desirable for the Bills.

The Bills won't need any more available space once they have the $10M after June 1st plus the $3+ they already have.  Then after (or almost simultaneously) the restructure occurs - an extension that includes guarantees and a signing bonus.  They could bring Metcalf's salary down to something like $5M and have all the rest into the future - like Tenn did with DHops.

Get it done … what are you trading for him?
