Look at the title and the whole article. They made a “mock trade” and yes they laid out a few reasons why it won’t happen too
I don’t know if you got past the Click bait headline …the guy is quoting someone else and spends his time telling us why it won’t happen.-

Sporting News speculates
Mock trade Bills send 2nd, 5th, 2026 3rd for Trey Hendrickson.
Note this is from after Bosa signed
This guy is making an argument why this won’t happen? no money and Bosa already picked 🤔-

I don't think it will be needed. I firmly believe they're drafting 2 dts and 1-2 des
I think they want to overhaul a lot of the defense, especially up front through the draft
the thing is though ….what happens to that person filling in when Larry is back to the 53 team after his suspension ? At least Phillips could go to the practice squad and will be pretty much unwanted by anyone else … -
So who thinks Jordan Phillips is likely back for the first 6 weeks to fill in for Larry?

Who cares? It's 6 games in an 18 game season. If anything they'll be fresh coming in week 7 when things start to ramp out later in the season.
you can’t win the No 1 seed in the first 6 weeks ..but you can lose it .-

I will be shocked if they don't draft at least 3 defensive lineman and 3 defensive backs. It would be irresponsible by Beane considering that's where the talent is
Ok … fair enough …
Im expecting them to move up twice at least and make about 6-7 picks in total given the state of the roster … they need at least 2 DL IMO … -

With the amount of dlineman that are about to be drafted by buffalo, none of the backups or even daquan are safe
I gotta see who they draft first .., last year they walked away with 1 WR when they had a huge need and in one of the best classes in years at the position .. -
AJE breathing a lot easier now … no chance of him being traded this off-season

Certainly some laughable overreactions in this thread.
How was Brandon Beane supposed to know that Larry Ogunjobi -- with a spotless NFL resume and being the Steelers' 2024 Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee -- was going to get a PED suspension BEFORE it happened? I guess you can ding him for still deciding to go ahead with the contract after finding out, but his explanation that the market had become pretty depleted and they decided they'd rather have him for 11 games plus playoffs than start from scratch and sign a lesser talent seems reasonable to me.
Likewise, if you want to ding him for deciding to sign Hoecht to a three-year deal despite knowing about his six game suspension, I can understand that. But the Bills signed him for 51 games worth of contract. With that in mind, missing six games due to suspension doesn't seem disqualifying.
All of this is obviously less than ideal. But the "this is the last straw, fire Brandon Beane" stuff is hilarious to me.
I’m not on the “fire Beane” bandwagon … but it’s an ordinary look happening with 2 guys they just signed IMO… having them both miss the first third of the season is far from ideal … -

If he could hold down the job why did we trade for Douglas when we did?
Because they wanted to get better ? Douglas was very good in 2023… fell off the proverbial cliff in 2024 though .. -
The longer it goes the more he will get paid …
If they don’t get a deal done in the off-season. …might as well wait and see if they struck gold on their rookie before paying Benford

It's not criticism it's fact, he has been abysmal, bottom of the barrel in the league in the run and pass game. All you have to do is a little research bud. What insurance does a guy who has limited skillset do for "insurance"? Just curious.
Prove me wrong then.
You are confusing your opinion for fact ..: this is quite clearly not the case ..
I’ll start my research right now … who do you want as the CB3 instead ? -

Poor against the run, poor against the pass and poor overall, what could go wrong?
I think your criticism is over the top…considering his time playing here previously …he’ll be fine as the expected CB3… provides a bit of insurance if the Rookie has some difficulty “learning the playbook”…. -
Very predictable move …. Particular with the injury concerns with Samuel ….
im ok with it …no superstar but can do a job if required ….they loved him when he was here …7th Round pick etc .
I’m expecting someone to be picked in the Top 60 …they need to make sure of it this time …so Beane might even make a bigger trade up than he has previously if they are in love with someone in the first …
I also think they like Ingram as depth … but if they have any picks left going into the 5th they might draft another guy to compete with him

Lot of pre draft hype here about him…
Not much since though …

Bosa and Larry O were cut so they don’t count against the Bills. Thus far I think the Bills are down on Palmer, Hoecht, and Forrest. While Mack and Toohill count as losses. If Cooper and Douglas sign elsewhere the Bills will be in line for a comp pick.
Yeah …I thought Larry was a free agent …,still hopes…looking like a low pick though given Cooper and Douglas don’t have a strong market ..-

Quiet day for the Bills today …. Beane might be parking things for a bit and seeing what CBs will take a cheap deal in another week or two …

No more WRs past their prime. We need to draft one by the end of day two and keep the youth pipeline going. Kupp makes no sense for us IMO.
Completely agree with this …. They gotta keep trying to find a decent guy in the draft …. No guarantees about Coleman so far .. -

A lot of the sporting news and SI articles now are AI-generated too. Just churning out stuff.
Yeah … I do hate these kinda stories … the Bills seem to get linked to everybody on the market …I heard Beane say something that they enquire about a lot of players with other teams and agents … so easy for some juorno to spin that into saying they are “interested “ when they are just doing due diligence..

I’m trying to discern is is saying we are one of 5 teams with offers for him?
It says expression of interest , not offers…Probably meant they rang up and enquired his desired salary range

I gotta feeling this will linger a little bit … as you say when did Larry know exactly , and when did he tell the team ….some of the media might be doing some digging …hopefully all above board and it’s just a coincidence of timing ..
