  1. Running QBs don't usually last too long in the NFL
  2. It was 3rd down, right? 4th and 14 or 4th and 10. Out of field goal range. It didn't matter. He knew that. Throwing it away was a certain punt. Scrambling coulda maybe gotten it. Right? He wasn't great at deep balls in college?
  3. Two of Craig Bohl's college QBs going up against each other in Wentz and Allen. It's being called the Bohl Bowl out here in the Rocky Mountain states.
  4. We got two roughing the passer calls that in my opinion were border line. I understood the low hit on Fitz. The other one was a defender letting up and barely falling into Fitz. There was a similar play on Allen the series just before that one where the Miami defender also let up before hiting Allen but he actually put both of his hands on Allen's chest and pushed him down. Inconsistent as hell. We're not where many of us think we should be. But we're actually quite a bit better than where others thought we would be. We've got coaching staff that rely heavily on our defense and milk clock when we've got the lead. Later in the 4th quarter yesterday, for example. We have the lead and we run, run, run, punt. Get a first down or two and the game's over. But they know our D is at a better place right now and want to rely on them to win games. I understand it, but it's frustrating to watch.
  5. One play yesterday we saw Allen shake/juke one rusher, then two, then three and then get tackled by a fourth. Our O lineman can't quit when they get beat by the guy they line up across from. Josh scrambles. Go find another guy to put your shoulder into.
  6. Agree, but there are some that think it's all Allen's fault.
  7. And without any doubt, the O only getting FGs on those possessions was frustrating as heck, they were moving the ball. Penalties and miscues were getting in the Os way and those have to be cleaned up. Each team got one possession in the 3rd quarter and the Bill's O moved the ball very well, on that 98 yard drive.
  8. But if the receiver doesn't adjust and take the hot route, the QB won't have time to throw the ball away. At that point it's a sack.
  9. Hah. Mod's shouldn't make the reasons public and I'm pretty sure dad would make the reason public. None of us need that, do we?
  10. Like I've been saying, ask your son. I've been banned before and I always knew why. I might have disagreed with it, but I've always known why. I think you son knows why? Ask him.
  11. It wasn't your son's OP that got him banned was it? Is that what he told you?
  12. I'm not sure the defense won the game yesterday. It was the first game this season that I actually think the offense won the game.
  13. This is my thought as well. The hot read was missed. But as a few other posters have already said, Josh and Beasley know what should have happened and who didn't make the adjustment. These are the kinds of things that the average poster doesn't consider. It's easy to blame one guy and that one guy is normally the QB. Maybe the blame belongs there, maybe it doesn't. And how long have Brady and Edelman been playing, and how long have they been playing together? They're the epitome of the perfectly fitting hand and glove. That relationship takes a few years to build.
  14. We've got a pretty standard bell curve on this subject. 10% that can rightfully so be called Josh haters, no matter how well he does. 10% that can rightfully so be called Josh lovers, no matter how poorly he does. And 80% that are mostly fair, while certainly leaning one way or the other but can at least accept opinions that are adequately supported. Now neither of the posters in the 10% legs of this bell curve believe they are crazy, extreme, whacked out in their opinions. They believe they are "main stream". When they get called out they make claims that the opposite 10% come out in droves. And when the 80% that are truly mainstream tell any of the 10%ers that they are over the top in the love or hate, the 10% try their darndest to group them into the opposite 10%, normally to little avail.
  15. I agree with this. We all knew it was the defense that won the first 4 games, and kept us in the NE game. Yesterday the offense won the game.
  16. LOL. Did you just say the Biils have a great offense that is being held back by Allen?
  17. A couple of things. First of all, if the other 10 offensive players we're all perfect then you would have a point blaming Allen for the offense's performance. Of course we know they weren't. Secondly, I know there is one person that agrees with you , and that is Josh Allen. The leader that he is, he takes 100% responsibility for all of the mistakes and credits his teammates for the successes.
  18. I didn't think this thread was grading the offense, but rather Allen. Do you recognize the difference?
  19. Good luck I think NEs D will make Darnold not look very good.
  20. I'd take the points too if I was putting some $$s down. Picking the phins straight up seems crazy to me. The guy's a phins fan and is picking this one from his heart. He's gotta be.
  21. Is this with the points or straight up? Unless I'm missing it, this is straight up.
  22. I thought I saw earlier in the week that Josh injured his left hand. This says his right hand. This is more concerning.
