  1. I think a lot of the answer here depends on how he is doing in the eyes of the Bills staff. Although he's been off the field for awhile, I'm sure he's been under the watchful eyes of the coaches as he rehabs. They are watching how he works out, takes mental reps, watches his conditioning, etc. I do recall that Jauron called him out at last year's camp for dogging it, which concerned me at the time given the fact that it was his very FIRST training camp as a pro.
  2. Good call - I think you are right.
  3. My fear exactly. Can someone point to a single sign during the Levy era that this is NOT happening?
  4. EXXXXXACTLY. Why is it so hard for people to imagine that a first year GM would make mistakes? Just because it's Marv? Why is it hall of fame coaches aren't streaming into the GM ranks? Because it's a totally different job, that's why. Only Ralph in his closed-minded thinking would bring in a guy he trusted, even though he has never been an NFL GM. It's one thing to lack GM savvy, it's quite another to be totally unprepared a year into the job. Levy stated the other day that he didn't know what the cap was, and didn't know what Willis had said in his interview even though his focus is on "personnel". Yikes.
  5. I can't believe you met Wade on an airplane and DIDN'T ask him how he would feel if the pilot didn't wear a headset.
  6. Is kid good enough to warrant Willis and a #12 pick? Ah, no.
  7. Didn't his squad win the Super Bowl? I think he will cash in on that. He will not come cheap.
  8. Please explain exactly how you have earned your place. How can I tell whether or not I'm deserving enough?
  9. We had all better get used to picking up second or third tier scrapheap guys. That's just how its gonna be.
  10. We should pick up Graham for two reasons: 1) Whitner would no longer have to cover him. 2) Royal never learned how to drag his feet after a catch.
  11. Isn't it easy to kick a man when he's down? By the way, how many of you have ever made it to the elite level of what you do for a living?
  12. No hate intended. It's just silly for a politician (of any party) to comment on or try to influence an NFL team's schedule. And to blame the schedule for a team's failure to sell out is RIDICULOUS. Try looking at it from the perspective of an outsider. Imagine if we heard Senator John Cornyn of Texas (a Republican) complaining that the NFL's schedule makers were the cause of the Texans or Cowboys not selling out. We would think their claims were ridiculous, and they would be. We would immediately target the fans themselves as the reason for their failures to sell out. Is Schumer's idea any less ridiculous because our beloved Bills are the subject here? Schumer's rant is dangerous because his pedagogy (look it up if you need to) perpetuates a victim mentality. The idea that the "victims" here (poor downtrodden Bills fans) can be saved by the government (insisting on a more favorable schedule) is an easy way for Schumer to play to Bills' fans sense of inferiority and that they are taken advantage of by a vast NFL conspiracy. Schumer's concept is easy medicine to take because it relieves individual fans of any responsibility and places it on the big bad NFL. PS - Even Marv has stated that the best way to ensure sellouts is to put a good product on the field.
  13. More liberal garbage. Yes, the government is the answer to all of the world's problems. Even the Bills not selling out.
  14. This is about the dumbest thing I've read here in awhile. Thanks for wasting my time.
  15. I especially enjoyed Tom Brady getting picked, then the DB fumbles and it's "first down, Patriots"!
  16. Could have fooled me! They chose to put the game in Rivers' hands all day when they have the MVP in their backfield. What were they thinking not running more?
  17. Head butting Rivers after he spiked it, at a critical time in the 4th quarter (with no flag thrown of course), gets my vote.
  18. When is a blatant personal foul not a personal foul? When a Patriots player head butts Rivers after he spikes it, in the 4th quarter of a playoff game.
  19. How dare you underestimate Marv's cognitive powers?
  20. Good post. OK, I see some points here. Believe it or not, I really WAS looking to be persuaded, and I feel a bit better.
  21. Exactly. This country is becoming a nation of fatties - a huffin' and a puffin' all the way to the fridge (or the upper deck).
  22. We're down 6-0 with about 30 seconds left in the half. A Bills TD or even a FG can turn the momentum since the Ravens offense hasn't done much so far. We have the ball 4th and 11 at the 40. DJ calls a timeout to think over his options, then, much to my dismay, he elects to punt! Our punt coverage squad bumbles again and they go over the goal line while covering the kick - for a mere 20 yard net change of field position. There's a whole 27 seconds left on the clock at that point. The Ravens, with their unexplosive offense, sit on the ball to end the half (probably laughing to themselves). Why not take a chance there on 4th and 11 with a long pass into the endzone - with the hope of either a pass interference penalty or a catch? If it's picked off, it's most likely as good (in this case, as it turned out, better) than a punt. If it's incomplete, the Ravens have the ball on their 40 with 27 seconds left, a 6-0 lead and an unexplosive offense. I really did not like the "tentative" vibes I got from that decision to punt. Yes we were playing a better team yesterday, but if you don't take your shots when you can, how do you ever expect to win? At that point, the Ravens were pounding the ball on the ground, had twice the time of possession we had, so while it was only 6-0 at that point, how could DJ reasonably expect his undersized D to keep the score so close the rest of the way? OK, I know we probably would not have won anyway, but was anyone else bothered by this decision?
