  1. I am going to let you in on a little secret. I found a way to improve the offensive line, the wr's, the te, the rb's, and The DEFENSE. Guess how. Getting a stud qb, that is how.
  2. there are 4 guys who will go with the first 4 picks in the draft who have the best odds in this draft to meet those expectations.
  3. Rosen is not a cookie cutter athlete. He is an intelligent , thoughtful , and honest person. He was asked a question about the browns and he responded that he would rather be drafted by a team lower in the draft if it was a better fit, than higher and a bad fit. Browns may be scared off by that ,but who cares that franchise has ruined top qb prospects left and right.
  4. Would you say you have better odds getting a star qb in the Top 5 picks or the rest of the picks in the nfl? https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-ranking-all-32-nfl-quarterbacks-entering-week-6 13 of the starting 32 qb's in the league are top 5 picks. it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the nfl draft is about odds. Getting a top 5 pick gives you the best odds to find a superbowl caliber qb
  5. The best qb in the draft? yeah i sure don't want that guy besides us you have denver, arizona and maybe a surprise team like Miami.
  6. I believe Rosen is this year's best qb, and i am not sure why he is not getting much hype. I think he rubs people the wrong way in the media but his coaches and teammates love him.
  7. I would give up this whole draft to get to two.
  8. Most elite qb's throw for 4,000 yards. There were 8 last year and there would have been more had wentz, keenum and a few others started all year. My definition of a franchise qb is the definition of what has been the standard for the past 10 years. 60 percent completion percentage, 2.5 int percentage, Under 10 fumbles, Can lead 2 minute game winning drives, and have playoff success. Those type of guys win you super bowls, enough with the steady eddies.
  9. Foles threw an interception. Brady just had the greatest super bowl qb performance ever and still lost which is crazy. The Rodgers draft was weird, everyone knew that he was either going number 1 or he was going to slide. But regardless , yes you can find qb's outside the top of the draft. And the bills clearly have been successful with that strategy.....
  10. You are correct i have no source. It is purely speculation on my part based off of logic, common sense, and history. of course not. we will get a ton of good players, just not that young potential franchise qb.
  11. There will always be people who want Beane fired, its the low hanging fruit. he has done a great job imo , i am just frustrated with the circumstances of the matter. We desperately need a franchise qb , and there is no reasonable way of getting one anytime soon.
  12. 1. As a Nick foles fan , there was more to it than just him falling back to earth that 2nd year. There were huge changes made that were disastrous on gm chip kellys part. 2. Foles did not outplay brady. Brady threw for a superbowl record , and he didn't punt once. 3. Look at the previous qb's in the super bowl the past 11 years. only 3 will not make the hall of fame. But keep talking yourself into legitimizing journeymen qb's.
  13. arrogance is earned, ignorance is not. I do believe fan mentality plays a role in this. Look at what the browns did this year . They had a parade for a 0-16 team that mocked them and what they have become and that is a national embarrassment. Do you believe that has played a role in them being by far and away the most aggressive team this offseason? Maybe , maybe not but it didn't hurt. I took out some frustration on your post and i apologize for it. I just don't see how anyone can look at that jets move and feel any amount of optimism.
  14. 1. If getting to the championship game is your idea of success then that is sad. 2. Foles had to play perfect just to beat brady. And Foles away from jeff Fisher is a pro bowl qb, who has won a probowl mvp, thrown 7 touchdown passes in a season, and has had a record setting season . So big difference between foles and the other qb's that sh** the bed when it was time to shine.
  15. RIght. And i don't want that post to come off as me bashing Beane. We got dealt with some cards, made a great move to improve our cards, and stils could not seal the deal. I think moving up to 4 is possible, but of the teams who are also in position to move to 4 we rank 3rd in terms of attractiveness. We would have to leapfrog to 6. If we got to 6 we have a chance.
  16. No offense but this post screams "taking solace in willful ignorance". This is just a message board for entertainment purposes, but this is stance you have taken is problematic for me. 1. You are giving people hope where there is no hope. 2. It is this type of fan mentality which allows for incompetence to happen year after year. 3. You are trying to portrait a rosy picture after the jets trade, and that is a facade of authenticity. I truly hate being this negative and certainly try to avoid that type of negativity in every day life, but I can't let you mislead people. Beane has done a phenomenal job, aquiring picks, shedding cap space, making the most of the assets he has. However to think that all of this was done with not a qb in mind is wrong. It is not a coincidence in one of the most loaded qb drafts ever we have the 2nd most draft capital of any team. We loaded up to get a top guy and failed. Simple as that.
  17. His 2 year deal is not necessarily a remedy for the future, but puts them in perfect position if they draft a qb like allen and develop him.
  18. Most years yes. Not this year. Browns have a ton of picks too, and have had a ton the past few years.
  19. There is no way either of those two teams trade the top 2 picks. Both are in need of a young franchise qb, the most important position in sports. I would bet every penny i own that the browns and giants stay where they are. It is becoming increasingly clear that the only position in football that truly matters is the qb.
  20. No they can't. Browns will draft their qb at 1 , and giants will draft their new franchise qb at 2. If you honestly believe Barkley will go anywhere with the first two picks you are getting your hopes up. And lets say one of those teams wants barkley, why trade with the bills at 12 that takes you out of the barkley sweepstakes. Denver could move up from 5-4 easily, and the browns still get barkley.
  21. There are no franchise qb's next year. This was the year. Everything was in place, tons of picks , new gm, just coming off a playoff appearance. Some years you get goff and wentz, others you get winston and mariotta.
  22. 2004 draft and the whitner pick set this franchise back 5 years easily.
  23. There is only 1 draft spot available. 3 qb's are already off the board. If you want one of the top 4 franchise qb prospects in this draft you have to get to 4. Teams are already submitting offers to the browns. I would not be Surprised to see that pick traded this week.
