Zay Jones had 7 TDs last year, and doubled his production. He will still be on his rookie contract. Injuries happen. They will hold onto Foster, Jones, Beasley, Brown, and McKenzie. If Duke shows well, maybe he makes the roster.
Is that true? I think it is true in the NHL, but I don't think the NFL has a rule that you have to spend a certain amount. I think I just read that the other day.
Darby was a fine player, but don't think we lost anything by getting rid of him and picking up Gaines. We got a draft pick out of the thing as well.
Darby wasn't seen as a fit in the zone system that we wanted to run. He doesn't track the ball well in the air, and lacks length.
What are we doing at LB? We had several guys in a couple days ago. No signings. I wonder if we have standing offers out, and those players are evaluating... Maybe we expect to draft bodies there?
Interesting. Time will tell on him. He started out hot, but the most important ability is availability. I am not ready to call him a success yet like some. Nice stat. I will keep an eye on that.
I love how you pointed out criticisms of the others, but then get to Rudolph and then minimize his lack of arm strength, like it isn't a big deal. The dude is a 3rd round talent. Rosen, Darnold, and Mayfield can spin the hell out of the ball. Your criticism of Jackson is juvenile as well. The guy threw for 9000 yards in 3 years. That is an exciting player. Just because he can also run, people want to try to doubt him. He is far more intriguing that Rudolph and may be there at 12.
Go back and watch that Steelers playoff game with McCarron. Some of the worst quarterbacking you have seen. If we start him, think Peterman with a little better arm. It won’t be good enough.
People shouldn't be hating on Shaq. He showed some good things last year, particularly against the run. The guy also had 4 sacks in 11 games. Wasn't that tied for the team lead last year? Come on, people.
