I’m tired of the we need to draft guys I’ve heard of crowd. There’s a reason Crosby, ESB,  Hurst, etc. 32 teams are passing on these guys for various reasons. Either they have Medicals, off the field issues, or just plain aren’t as good as the media portrays them.

Johnson is prob a reach but we don’t know that maybe multiple teams had him in Round 4 and the Bills really liked him do they took him. The reason they aren’t taking an OT and/or WR rn is because A. They don’t feel there is value and B. The class in general stinks

Usually you have heard of guys because thy are good...

His JR College Stats, his college stats. Yes stats are not everything. But I get concerned when a guy does not dominate against weak competition. Playing in that JUCO league he should have lit it up. Playing at Wyo he should have lit it up.

It is possible that our WR's will improve just by (hopefully) having a QB that can actually throw the ball.

But yes, we need to add some speed.

Like Sammy Watkins....wait he had better numbers with Tyrod. That doesnt fit the storyline. Tyrod is so awful, he cannot even throw the ball like a high school QB. ur WR's would all be HOFers if they only had a mediocre high school QB.

He hit the receiver in stride, 65 yards down field, without good mechanics and while falling backward.  Geez Louise.  And you're worried about style points?

I'm not sure he's going to be a good draft pick but it will be fun to watch.

65 yards would have been out of the back of the end zone into the stands. He threw it from the 40...

    Chiefs Get :

    QB Pat Mahomes (R1 pick 10, 2017)

    Bills Get:

    CB Tre White (R1 pick 27, 2017)

Pick 91 (R3 pick 91, 2017) packaged with other picks for trade up to 37.  Rams used pick on S John Johnson.  Bills go to (R2 pick 37, 2017) and select WR Zay Jones.

Pick 21 (R1 pick 21, 2018) packaged with other picks for trade up to 16.  Ravens traded out with Titans who used the pick on LB Rashaan Evans.  Bills go to (R1 pick 16, 2018) and select LB Tremaine Edwards.

Esentially, after it was all said and done, it was Mahomes for Tre White, Zay Jones and Tremaine Edwards.

    Thank you.

Funny - this is opposite of what we did yesterday if you think about it.

    OK I will play

We are damn lucky we didnt give away 3 first round picks (and perhaps more) for our franchise QB it is only Beane being smart (and some luck that teams would not trade with us) that prevented that.....we actually came out AHEAD on giving up draft capital that allowed the Edmunds pick and we STILL have our 2019 first rounder

If anything Beane did well here

If we gave away 3 first we would have looked really foolish. Bc we could have done that does not mean it looks better we only gave away two seconds. Point is we possibly could have gave away nothing. Or a 3rd and 5th like AZ did.

And how do you know that?

What is it about AJM and Allen that will cause this OL to be a complete disaster?

Well for starters both tend to hold the ball too long.

Allen has not played against this type of talent. He is going to have an adjustment period and having a poor OL and no WR is going to make things even more difficult.

    Just for starters.

Rank the Bills position of need in the order you feel is greatest regardless of how much sense you feel it makes to the next person.

Let's see if the Bills next Day 2 and Day 3 moves coincide with your analysis to some degree.

    Mine looks this way:

    1. DE

    2. RB

    3. OLB

    4. WR

    5. TE

OL far and away. We have lost 3 starters.

WR we need at least a #1...

It's not number one because I'm not as panicked with the O-line situation as many are.

The coaches felt good about Ducasse and Mills on the right side, they brought in Bodine and also have Groy as the potential starting C, and Dawkins is solid at LT.

We know why Ducasse got the starting RG slot, it's because it was believed by the coaching staff that he best fit Rick Dennison's zone blocking scheme. John Miller is not trash by a longshot and he is still on the roster. Brian Daboll could find Miller more valuable to what he wants to do as offensive coordinator. Miller could always regain the RG position, while a more athletic Ducasse gets flipped to the LG spot. Maybe Miller is moved to LG and Ducasse continues to man the RG spot.

I'm not thrilled with either Ducasse or Mills and the Bills could upgrade, but they both were part of that rushing attack surge that caught on late in the season.

I think the Bills should to add to the line in this draft, but I don't think at all that it's a must that they go OL on Day 2.

This OL with either Allen or AJM is going to be a complete disaster. Its going to be a movie we have all seen before here at OBD.
