Well all it says is that they would sign off on the pick if McBeane wants him, but they don’t make the decision and I fear McBeane may see him as too frah-jee-lay

Guessing their first choice is Darnold but it's pretty clear we're taking a QB. I think they'll have to deal with Rosen. Guessing McDermott moreso than Beane who understands how important the QB position is.

I don’t have a lot of Bills info usually. But I have info on Rosen from a college connection who heard about his Bills workout. Just a small thing. Fwiw the Pegulas love him. They are REALLY into tennis and feel it’s a huge benefit for him as a pro QB. And Rosen really likes the culture of the team and the minority female owner. They got along really well. That’s all I know. Peace!

This needed a new thread tbh

There is no chance they already know who the top 3 QBs being picked are. GMs at 1 and 2 won't even tell their HCs who they are picking. There is no way to know which of the top 4 is available after pick 4. I you like Rosen, Mayfield and Darnold you can't sit around and figure you can get that guy at 5 or later.

Pretty clear Darnold and Mayfield are going 1 and 3 and then next QB is preference between Rosen and Allen.

You simply cannot keep reiterating the fact that "this is a QB-driven league" and then stand pat while the top 3 QBs are taken off the board, especially when you have a division rival taking one of those guys. If Beane doesn't trade up he's signing his own pink slip. If you're acknowledging that QB is the most important position on the field you can't take the "sit at 12 and take who comes to us" position. I don't care if you overpay, the only excuse for not trading up is "we offered them the farm and they didn't want to trade." That may happen at 1-3, but there is no excuse not to trade up to 4-6 when you know there are several teams not in the top 10 looking for QBs.

Unless he's sure his guy is going to be there. I think he knows Rosen will be there at 5, 6 and 7.

I could see Josh Allen getting to 5 and Elway take him.  His play reminds me of Elway.  As far as accuracy, look at Brett Favres college stats:

    1897... 40.7.
    1988... 55.8.
    1989... 54.1.
    1990... 54.5.

I'm warming up to the idea of Josh Allen.

What's the big difference between 80's college football and now?

  6. We trade up for Josh Rosen. It's clear we want a Day 1 starter with the way we didn't really chase any of the UFA QB's or make a trade for Foles. I'm going to give the Bills management the benefit of the doubt and say they're smart enough to realize that Josh Allen is no where near ready to start on Day 1.

Everything they've talked about size, accuracy, intelligence, arm points to Rosen.

All the top 4 QB's go in the first 5 picks, with only the Browns at #4 picking a non-QB with their 2nd selection.

Then we're left at #12, and are probably desperate enough to grab a QB anyway, likely hoping he ends up pulling a DeShaun Watson.

    BUF.png12. Buffalo Bills (from Bengals)

Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville. After trading up from No. 21 to No. 12, the Bills stay put for their quarterback and take Jackson. There's no rush to get him on the field immediately; AJ McCarron will have a chance to earn the job in 2018, but if he flops, Jackson would get his opportunity to be the next face of the franchise.

Lamar Jackson is going to be a star in the right system. Not sure we have that system in place here but he's going to be a better pro than Josh Allen for sure.

My biggest hope is that Rosen slips to where we don't have to give up 22.  Take Rosen then trade up if possible and grab him a WR in Moore.

Unfortunately Miami and too many trade hungry teams won't allow it :(

If we get DJ Moore, Zay Jones is going to be invisible. Please take that to the bank and deposit it immediately...

Benjamin would be the odd man out

  9. If we don't trade the 22nd pick and he's there might as well take him. No bust potential. He's going to be a star and a fan favorite.

You watch the two on film, and you see that they're NOTHING alike... Moore is easily twice the athlete Jones is... A little man among boys on the football field.

Zay made great catches... Moore made great PLAYS.... BIG difference.

And Zay is going to be great if we get a great QB here

We does everyone hate the idea of Josh Allen to Buffalo, but all these experts think differently. There is a reason he could go number, but I can’t see what all the hate is for?

You have to be really bad for fans to be like this dude is 6'5, 235, athletic and has one of the best arms of all time but I want no parts of him
