with each passing mock I become less convinced that there is a QB worth trading up for. Stay at 12 and take Jackson

Jackson has gotten better every year and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up better than a few of the top QB's. Unfortunately I don't see the Bills even viewing him as an option.

  2. The thing that I really like about Baker and most great QB's have is his improvisation skills when the play breaks down. He'll sometimes bail on the pocket a little sooner rather than later but I've seen him multiple times take a step to the left or to the right or up, dink his shoulder and re-adjust. All the great ones do this and Mayfield is a master at it.

    I hope this is true.

I think Mayfield has the it factor to be a really good QB. I think he's going to be a really good pro.

I hate talking like this but he's a culture changer. He immediately wins the locker room and the fans. If he was two inches taller he'd be consensus #1 pick.

because he played in a 1 read quick throw shotgun offense.  in the senior bowl when they put him in a drop back pro style system he had 2 balls batted down out of like 7 throws total.  it's definitely a concern of mine now.

I don't put any stock in Senior Bowl games but yeah they're going to have to move him around a bit in our new offense.

  5. There's not a better fit for WNY and our fanbase than Baker Mayfield. First time he throws a 60 yard bomb for a TD and his celebration running the length of the field will be iconic.

I still don't love him and I don't know if I buy it, but if they think he is Drew Brees, and will win from the pocket, I'm good with it. Trusting the process.

For a short guy he hardly ever gets his ball batted down at the line unlike Rosen who surprisingly gets passes batted down a ton.

Except, ya know, success at the NFL level.

Yes. Lamar Jackson should've petitioned the NCAA and forced his way into the league earlier.

I can see that but also Beane specifically mentioned accuracy is important and that's where Allen is very inconsistent with.

He's also not a traditional QB like Beane and McDermott have been talking about. Like Mahomes, Allen first move is to bail out of the pocket. He does it all the time and it's maddening.

  7. It seems like everyone has positioned themselves to get their guy.

Browns are set on Darnold, Giants look like they like Chubb a lot. Jets have tried to keep it a secret but Josh Salem could be their guy. Broncos seem enamored with Mayfield.

Three trade possibilities: Browns at 4, Colts at 6(I think they stay and take Barkley and Bucs at 7. If Rosen gets past NYJ he could drop and we could get our guy for a cheaper price.

  8. One of my favorite players in the Draft. Along with Mark Walton and Jaylen Samuels. I hope we can land one of them.

Certainly he was an exceptionally productive college player but the mileage.  He's taken a  ton of hits.

I could see him at pick 65 if we keep it.

What? He has little tread on that body as he shared time with Pumphrey
