What are you talking about? Players get punished by the NFL all the time for things that aren't illegal or would never meet the standard needed for a criminal conviction.
Crazy that Rice was involved in a hit and run accident that we have video evidence of and yet he still gets to play.
The NFL shouldn't need a criminal conviction to punish a player.
His family and teammates need to have an intervention. He's already made more money than most will make in a lifetime and it's not like he couldn't get a football related job that pays well.
