I agree. It was going to catch up to us at some point. Beane continues to burn valuable assets on mediocre defensive line help rather than helping Josh with the picks. You want to see how to support your young qb, then look no further than the chiefs drafting.

    Yep.

We have been on borrowed time for quite awhile. The signs were there all season.

This isn't stunning to me. We may have lost to the SB champion.

I still don't see how they can possibly go into Arrowhead two straight years and end the Chiefs season. But who knows.

Alex Smith was turning his career around before Reid.  The 49ers won the division two years in a row with the and lost the NFC Championship game against on a muffed punt.  They went 13-3 that year. He was 6-2 the following season before getting hurt and then Kapernick came.

Smith then signed a 4 year extension one year after being traded to KC.  Reid wasn’t some miracle worker with Smith.

Mike Vick busted one year after signing that extension with the Eagles and went 8-8 and 4-12 in the following season under Reid.  Does Reid not deserve criticism for that contract?  After signing a $100,000,000 contract, Nick Foles was the starter 2 years later.

The Eagles were favorites against the Bucs and Panthers in the NFC Championship game and lost.

Smith got benched for Kap. Yes he was playing better. But Reid elevated him. It was when the defense held Pittsburgh to five fg's at Arrowhead, and the KC offense didn't do much, that the organization realized Smith was good. But they wanted great. Thus, the infamous 2017 draft trade up.

The Eagles were favorites against the Bucs because of the Bucs history in cold weather. The receivers were James Thrash and Todd Pinkston going against one of the all time great defenses ever. Now, was Reid in charge of personnel back then? Idk. But losing to that Bucs team isn't that huge of an upset.

Panthers loss? I don't even remember that. I think that is the year the Carolina kicker kicked it out of bounds and gave NE a shorter field to win that SB. I totally forgot who Carolina even beat to get to that point. Alas, it was the Eagles.

Reid, as a coach, is top five for me. I hold him responsible for some contracts handed out and clock management issues.

As a coach,I take him over McD everyday. I believe Allen would be even better with Reid. This can all change if McD and company get it done and best KC along the way.

  3. It has been Super Bowl or bust this entire season.

This is going to be a very tough test. If the Bills win, another stiff test awaits.

Need to blitz and early and test that Bengals OL. If that doesn't work, dial it back.

On offense, no turnovers. Cincinnati has been successful at cashing in turnovers. Can't give them extra possessions. Run the ball.

  4. Are the Eagles that good or the Giants just not ready for primetime (Literally and figuratively I suppose)?

Truth may lie somewhere in the middle.

Regardless, next week a red hot team (Cowboys or Niners) is coming to town. Things get tougher. A win there for sure removes alot of doubt.

I do believe the Eagles make it to the Super Bowl due to homefield advantage. Cowboys are too up and down. We've yet to see SF go into a true hostile environment and beat a team that is maybe a tad better.

Tomorrow morning that ankle is gonna be swollen the size of a freaking ball

They will give it round the clock treatment all week long

He will come out next week like there’s nothing wrong and the minute he takes a hit he’s gonna start limping again because there’s a reason why you don’t play with high ankle sprain. He’s still gonna have his throwing ability but he’s not going to be able to run, which is a huge deal.

The Bills (Hopefully) or Bengals need to force him outside the pocket. Take a few hits on him.

It took Andy Reid 20 years to win a Super Bowl

They were lots of people who said he would never get it done either… he was always known as the guy who couldn’t get over the hump

I hate the heat Reid gets over this.

Reid made McNabb into a PB QB. Not the other way around imo. They lost to GSOT Rams in 01. By like 4 points or something. They lost to the 02 Bucs historic D. They lost to the much better team (Patriots) in Super Bowl.

Reid made Smith a PB QB after he looked like a bust in SF. Made the PO four times with him BEFORE Mahomes started.

I think Reid was a HOFer before winning a Super Bowl. Yes, there is no question that Mahomes makes it easier. But the guy was a great coach from the start imo.

Let's put it this way: Reid made the postseason with a rejuvenated Vick he turned around. Alex Smith. Henne looked good out there today.

The supposed top coach of all time has done.....nothing without Tom Brady.

Note: I am a Bills & Football fan too. I lived in Philly. Those people think you did a miserable job if there wasn't a SB win. They look at it as all or nothing. Without any regard for the fact there is another team on that other sideline.

I want to add that I am not arguing with you. I am going against what the media, Philly people, and others have always said about Reid.

  7. Look at what Belichick did to him in the championship game a few years ago. Or other times Belichick limited him (And Hill at the time). Study those games.

Put a corner on him. Make those other receivers beat you.

Teams had the same issue with Brady & Gronk though. The dude always seemed to be open on every play.

Not so much these days. I read that the home team gets about 1.5 now. So Bills favored by 4.

The Bills have been the better team throughout the year based on DVOA. They are the #2 team in weighted DVOA behind the 49ers. They are more healthy and they are playing at home.

The Bengals get a lot of hype because of their stars and talk a big game to the media, but they have been the worse of these two teams.

Fair. But a Bengals win would be by no means an upset.

This game will go down to the wire imo.

Cowboys vs 49ers, they beat the 2 worst teams in the playoffs.

I'm not sold on the 49ers quite yet. Nor do I think that D is as great as portrayed.

They have beaten some bad teams lately. Some not so great offenses and less than stellar QB's.

KC & Vegas went up and down the field on that D.

This game reminded me a lot of the Minnesota game.  There were legitimately a dozen plays you could point to in both games where if the Bills made the play offensively or defensively, you could mark in your notebook "game over" (nod to Greg Easterbrook).  Minnesota game was much worse but this was similar - the Knox almost touchdown, the Shakir almost catch, etc. etc.  It was maddening.

I hope that Minnesota loss doesn't come back to haunt us. IE playing in a dome instead of Orchard Park in two weeks.
