Mahomes has yet to play a road playoff game.  I'd love for us to be his first.

If KC gets two seed, it wouldn't happen until the title game. Might be the most fired up Bills mafia will ever be.

I don't think a player has ever started his career by playing 10 straight home games (Likely 11):

18: Beat Indy before losing to NE

    19: Beat Hou & Ten

20: Beat Cle & some other team.

21: Beat Pit, some other team, and lose to Cin.

22: Will get at minimum one home game.

    That is unheard of.

There are 3 teams at the top of the AFC. Buffalo, KC, and Cincy. One could beat the other on any given Sunday. All 3 of the teams are really good. None of them are great. If we still had Micah and Von, then we would be head and shoulders above the rest. No one can rationally argue the fact, though, that the Chiefs are NOT the same without Tyreke Hill.

They aren't that explosive offense without him. But they have proven he isn't needed to win.

It will come down to Kelce getting double teamed in the PO. Someone else will need to step up for them.

    Same with us and Diggs.

Cincinnati has two elite receivers. All around best offense maybe.

Considering every post on here critiquing the Bills or coaching is met with "Hey, we're 12-3", no, the Chiefs are 12-3 so they are not overhyped.

Now if you want to claim the Chiefs aren't that good despite their record, you have to open the door to the possibility Buff isn't either.  You can't have it both ways.  Either only the record matters, or it doesn't.

    Agreed.

We can say they have been lucky at times. But they were also unlucky in losses to Indy & Cin.

We got lucky against Baltimore, Miami in snow, and Detroit. Those all very well should have been losses.

To your point, if we are going to say the Chiefs aren't what the record says, than the Bills need the same treatment.

I have absolutely no idea anymore who will come out of the AFC. Every team is flawed. NFC has Eagles. I'd be stunned if they lose before the Super Bowl.

  4. This has been such a bizarre year.

KC lost to Indy and barely beat Den, Hou, and Titans.

We lost to the Jets and barely beat Detroit & Miami in the snow.

    Other things too.

To answer the question, I am not sure there is a juggernaut in the AFC. Teams have gotten lucky. Teams have gotten unlucky.

Philly is the 1 seed. But they barely beat Chicago, Hou, Indy. Lost to Wsh.

    What team doesn't have flaws?

KC isn't the scary team of last year. Not much separation between Bflo, KC, and Cinci. Followed by Miami, SD, and Balt who can beat any of the top 3 teams.

Anyone can beat anyone on any given day.

Us, KC, and Cincinnati are clearly playing the best right now. I don't think Baltimore will be a factor. Chargers are too inconsistent. Dolphins could make noise.

But sometimes the best team doesn't always win.

Patriots were not the best team in 2018.

TB was not the best team in 2020.

I don't think the Rams were last year.

What happens in the RS sometimes means squat in the PO.

  6. If you take out the SB factor, Bills was impressive because Moon was an elite QB. Other guys were missing. Backup QB. PO game. Most left the stadium.

Unfortunately, most pundits will probably pick 28-3 as the best comeback. It was the SB and the NFL's golden boy's finest moment. Add on the deflategate revenge stuff.

Minnesota comeback can't compare because it was RS game. If they end up winning the SB, it will be looked at more fondly. Otherwise, it was a week 15 regular season game.

    Seriously.

Unless they step it up, we need a new #2 and 3 wR next season

My biggest fear is seeing Diggs doubled, while Allen can't find an open receiver in the playoffs.

Great teams will focus on Diggs. Someone else needs to step up. Otherwise, it's time to seriously consider getting a legit #2 receiver in here. Whether it's giving picks to Browns for Cooper or something else.

  8. Chiefs didn't look great today either. I bet their fans aren't in a panic. KC has looked shaky more than a few times this year.

The NFL is full of parity. I mean the Texans nearly pulled off the upset of the year today. KC barely beat a wretched Denver team. Philly barely beat Hou & Indy. Minnesota lost to Detroit. Baltimore barely beat two wretched teams in a row.

Phi, KC, Buffalo, Baltimore, Dallas, & Minnesota are not suddenly average teams. It's just that the best team in the league is no longer leaps and bounds more talented than the worst team.

If you expect the Bills to just blowout every single opponent, no, it just won't happen.

The Bills do have issues. I acknowledge that. With Allen, every year is SB or bust. The same can be said for KC, GB, and others.

  9. Raiders may very well be the toughest test remaining for KC. Especially if Raiders keep playing the way they have been. Seattle has been a surprise. But that game is in KC. If it was in Seattle it would be a different story. Texans is obviously a gimme for them. Broncos x 2 are wins. They have no offense.

Looks like Raiders & Seattle are the only two possible potential losses there.

We can't go no worse than 4-1 down the stretch here.

If Bill Belichik were to leave NE and want to coach elsewhere (somewhat realistic based on NE current state of affairs) I would dump McD without thinking twice about it and I think most Bills fans would be lying if the said otherwise.

Other current/recent head coaches I would most certainly take based on their resumes if available: Sean McVay, Kyle Shanahan Andy Reid, Sean Payton, Mike McCarthy, Doug Peterson, Zac TaylorMike Vrabel, Mike Tomlin, Jim Harbaugh, Pete Carroll.

Again it's not McD is a bad coach, but the facts (and history) say he's not good enough to take this team to the next level like a large majority of the guys I listed have done at least one time minus Taylor/Vrabel.

I would definitely take McVay, Shanahan, Reid, & Carroll over him.

Would need to think about Peterson & Payton. I mean Payton made three NFC title games in 15 years with a HOF QB. Not impressive.

I wouldn't take any of the bolded guys over him. McCarthy & Tomlin? Seriously? No way.

  11. We really don't have much of a pass rush without Miller. Unsure how we get around that.

If the plan is to not worry about D and hope the offense puts up 30-40 points every game--that's a recipe for disaster.

Our offense has been hit or miss. Teams will double Diggs in the postseason. Who do we have to step up?

Getting a legit #2 receiver and OL help needs to be a priority in the offseason. Another pass rusher too.

The bills have beat the 2 3 and 4 seeds.  The bills also have to play the current 5,6,7, and 8 seeds.  They probably need to win out to maintain the one seed and that is no easy task.

    Not easy whatsoever.

Really hoping Chiefs somehow lose another game. And maybe Miami loses two more games.

It would allow us to not have to be perfect.

I don't think the Jets are a threat to win the division anymore.
