Bills as a favorite cannot last the week.
Home team usually gets three points.
This is virtually a toss up type game.

Its possible the Ravens can win this game. They put up a good fight with backups and a 3rd string QB. Huntley is not terrible. Nobody thought CInci was going to beat Chiefs last year either. I mean, I dont think the Ravens win this one but I wouldnt call it a huge upset if they did.
Yeah wouldn't be a major upset.
I'm divided though.
Yes, Baltimore winning means we get the Jags. An easier matchup than the Bengals. But...Ravens are on borrowed time headed to KC. Jags at least have a prayer in that game.
Regardless, I'm a Bills fan and want the path easiest for us. So I take a home game against Jacksonville over Cincinnati.

That is hard to believe when you think about it.
I was actually shocked to learn Burrow is 26. I thought he was like 24.
AFC is absolutely stacked at QB moving forward. Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Lawrence, Watson, and Jackson (If Ravens keep him).
NFC has...Hurts?

No way this game should be close.
I do think the Bills win by at least 10.
I won't know what to think if Miami somehow won this game.

I hate to tell you but so can chargers - CIN - KC .. if we get knocked out by Miami then we had no chance anyway. On the side note I really don’t think our defense is good enough to make it to the Super Bowl. Unless Allen plays like he did in that playoff game last year, and can he do that for 4 games, idk… that’s a tall task. GO Bills
Losing Von & having White battling injuries has been an issue.
Don't like the prospects of possible being down one or two scores in the postseason with our D on the field.

That seems like a very high line. Idk.
Maybe the thought is Tua won't play.

Pass D is a huge issue.
If Mac Jones & Brisset were able to do well against them, how in the world will we stop Mahomes, Burrow, or even Herbert if we faced LA?

Because we are by far the biggest favorites this weekend and a 20 points blowout is not great TV
49ers will be huge favorites over Seattle

I think you have it pretty well covered… and of course JA needs to be superman…The likelihood of all of these happening is …. Not good…and I think we would required them all to win the SB..maybe (2) could slide if another receiver or two step up..,
Micah could have returned but not now after the events of the past week… the secondary without him is average at best … this and the lack of a pass rush makes it tough..
This is my biggest fear.
Teams will double Diggs and force other receivers to beat them. I don't have alot of confidence in anyone else to consistently get open and make plays.
Allen can only do so much.

How about because we are a significantly better team than they are?
What I mean is beat Miami and go from there. I no longer care how it looks. Whether it's a 30 point win or 2 point win.
I don't mean it like they are the favorite and we need a prayer to win.

They don’t really imo…their defense is whack and we can get after their oline. We don’t have talented dbs right now but tua is a one read guy and it isn’t too difficult to disguise coverages on him. Not saying Miami can’t win the game, but NE is a tougher matchup imo. They were mauling us up front today. Steelers wouldn’t have been a walk in the park either. They’ve got good receivers and a tough front 7
If we don't have talented DB's, that will be exploited against KC or Cin.
I think we will beat Miami. Somehow someway.
But all of the pressure is on the Bills in this game. Miami is playing with house money.

Our offense should have their way with the Dolphins. The scary thing about the Dolphins obviously is that they can score from anywhere on the field on any play. They can win on what you would normally call fluke plays except for the Dolphins they are not flukes because they can get two or three of them a game.
It's not just the Dolphins either though. It's about us. Despite this winning streak.
I feel like this game with NE was way too close. NE had a legit chance to win if their ST's were better.
There are too many games where the Bills start out slow. For instance, Detroit and Bears games. To beat a good to great team, we can't be starting out slow or making dumb mistakes.
I don't think we are playing as well as KC or Cincinnati right now. Those teams look to be a notch above us. Regardless of records.
Does it mean we can't win it all? Of course not. But there are serious concerns with this team.

Miami really just barely beat a team who hasn’t scored a TD in a month and hasn’t won a game since November. Previous to that Miami lost what, 5 straight? None of their QBs are good, concussed or not, their defense sucks and they can’t run the ball. Other than that..
Miami matches up well with us though. And they will likely have Tua.
-
Division games are always tough. Unpredictable and familiarity.
My thinking is this though: Tua or not. If we can't beat Miami at home in January, maybe we aren't as good as we thought.

It is a home game. So there's that.
But...this is the matchup I did not want. They are fully capable of putting points up on this defense. Especially if Tua is healthy.

What about NFC?
I wonder how a team like KC would match up with the Eagles. Or us and Cincinnati with Philly? They appear to be an elite team. Hurts is playing well and those receivers are elite. That run D is tough. OL is top notch.
We shall see how Hurts is health wise.

I have to believe with Damar in the ICU there is not going to be a lot of thought about resting players.
They are going to push to win this game.
Just hope the team isn't too exhausted/injured to get that SB win.
My big concern.

But NE has a much better defense from both a coaching and player consideration. In a mid January playoff game in Buffalo that will be a much more important fact.
Coaching hasn't really helped them since a certain QB left. It's obvious he masked many of their issues.
If it comes down to it, I don't want to face Waddle & Hill while our star CB is still coming off injury.
-
If we are up like 21-0 by the end of first quarter, I would trust the D and begin resting starters.
**Alternatively, if Baltimore is up 21-0 by the end of first quarter, and we are in a tight contest, I would risk resting starters and hoping Baltimore holds on. I would like to get NE in the postseason by any means necessary.
**Obviously this is only if KC wins Saturday.

Why would the Bills not want to play Miami? Do you think Tua will be back next week and effective?
I think Tua would probably play in a postseason game.
If it's Bridgewater, he is still capable of getting the ball down field.
They have two receivers that can take the top off any D. NE has zero of those guys.

BUF - Needed to win vs CIN and NE and get #1 seed no matter what. Loss to CIN and NE game would only impact 2 vs 3 seed.
CIN - Needed to beat BUF and BAL; And needed KC to lose for the #1 seed. Loss to BUF would have made the BAL game a play for the division game.
KC - Needed CIN or NE to beat Bills and win vs LAV.
I say Bills were impacted most with no benefit at all. KC benefits most as now a win with no help hands them the #1. CIN loses shot at #1 but also now the BAL game means much less and has no chance at ending up at the #6 seed.
Assuming KC wins:
Bills win they are most likely playing MIA. Slight chance of PIT, JAX or NE.
Bills lose they are most likely playing BAL. If BAL beats CIN then Bills play NE. MIA is out if Bills lose.
Best case if we don't want to play MIA - Bills win and Jets beat MIA. Bills play PIT and MIA is out.
Next best - Bills and CIN both lose and Bills play NE and MIA is out. Or CIN wins and we play BAL.
I wouldn't mind facing Baltimore over Miami in round 1.
Problem is a potential AFC title game would be at Arrowhead if we both get that far. Assuming KC beat Vegas and NE beat us.
-
I am putting Pittsburgh out because I think it's too much to ask for them to beat Cleveland. While Flacco beats Miami. Browns, despite their record, have beaten some very good teams this year.
Ultimately, I think Miami gets in because Flacco and an unmotivated Jets team will likely lay an egg. If it were Mike White, I would say differently.
-
I believe a KC-Cin AFC title game would be neutral site IF KC loses this weekend and Cin wins. Otherwise, said game between those teams is in KC. I agree with that because both would have 4 losses with Cin owning HTH tiebreaker. But...Cin could've possibly had 5 losses thanks to Mon night. Thus...it's fair for everyone.
We just need to beat NE and hope we don't have to beat both Cin & KC on our path to SB 57.

I think the Bengals would have won on head to head. It would have been Bengals at #1, Bills at #2 and Chiefs at #3 in that scenario, I believe?
You are correct.

Offense first is the state of the league.
That said, it's ridiculous to be passing on 3rd and 1 when up big. Not converting stops the clock. At least run it and see what happens. Go for it on 4th if need be.
