Ja’Mar Chase: “I’m open. I’m always ****ing open”
ColoradoBills replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
For sure. It's crazy to say but the Cardinal game is as close to a "must win" as a high ranked team like the Bengals could have this early in the season. -
I'm enjoying the ride with Josh Allen as the Buffalo Bills QB. There is a great chance of getting to the destination we all want.

Friends the Oline has arrived…

I was so glad he was there in the 2nd when the Bills were on the clock. All this talk about "position versatility" meant nothing to me. The Bills needed an anchor at the RG position, and it looks like they got it. Let the depth have versatility. -

Bengals heading to Arizona this Sunday is going to be a pressure filled game for them. A loss will be devastating to their season. Going 1-4 with the 49ers, Bills, Ravens and Chiefs yet to play would be tough hole to dig out of. -
Eyeroll all you want @MPT, it's true.

Tre White Injury Updates (Torn Achilles now confirmed)
ColoradoBills replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
PUP or IR, I guess it really doesn't matter to the term, it ends up the same. FTR, I don't see a settlement either. I felt bad for him when he dropped a potential pick 6, and then this happens a few minutes later. -

Didn't see the thread when I logged on earlier. Thanks for that! -

Just gave my $27.00. Was pretty simple. Put in the "comment" spot to use the money to ease the pain of his rehab. -

Wow, I was just looking at that. Here is Tre's deal. https://www.reachingforexcellence27.com/ If his charity got some decent bucks it might make his recovery a little less traumatic. I got $27 too. -

No words for how bad I feel for Tre and his teammates. The team loves this guy and all I can say to them is "Win it all for Tre". -

You're getting the cart before the horse on this Virgil. @QCityexplained the basics below. The first thing is how bad is Tre's injury and when will he be "football ready". If he recovers and is released by doctors by next March to play, it will be like nothing happened. If, on the other hand, he is still injured the Bills will place him on PUP to start the season. Then there could be a settlement. But as I see it, if he would likely miss any regular season games the cap savings would diminish by the amount of games and his base salary. Last, and I feel the most important, Tre is an integral part of this team. Beane, McDermott and Tre will discuss what he feels is best for him/team. If he thinks he can return to form, the Bills will give him the year. If he has had enough of all this, he may decide to end it an retire. The only problem that could emerge is if Tre thinks he is fine, and the Bills don't agree. I doubt that happens but if it did, it won't be for some time. Wouldn't he start of PUP? Also, great explanation of the process! -
Wilkins is one of the UFAs I talked about. He will want his $20M per year. Even guys like Van Ginkel will want the $s. Miami's 2024 free agent list. It's a big one. They are $40M over the cap with these guys to sign/replace. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/miami-dolphins/

It's not over for them. They lose a 3rd rounder next year for the Brady incident AND a 4th goes to Denver for Chubb. Miami is in worse cap space than the Bills next year and have Tua on his 5th year option along with a bunch of UFAs. They got a lot of work to do to maintain what they have.

Lots of good reasons others have brought up already. 1. Too many "primetime" games during the week. 2. Way, way too much hype by the sporting media and fans. 3. Way too much speculation as to what team will become the new "NE Patriots". 4. Lack of quality QBs add to the hype that any young QB who has had a good game is the next Brady. I don't think the players, coaches, etc are worse or diluted at all. It's that expectations are way too high. There are only a handful of teams that can realistically be said to have a good chance of making the SB every year. It's mathematically impossible to see these few teams play each other during the season compared to the number of "primetime" games. As to the lack of quality QBs, maybe it's time for certain teams who do not have a QB to let no-name guys get a chance to play. If your current QB is destined to give you a 5-12 record, what do you really have to lose. Can't find the next Brady, Romo or Purdy is they never leave the bench.

I admit I did think that Bernard might regress a bit to the mean this week after such a huge week previously. I was wrong. Bernard is so impressive with his communication and choreographing of the D alignments, it's like he is an on-field extension of McDermott. I was amazed when he was physically moving D-linemen to specific gaps while barking to the entire defense. Does this guy really know exactly what Sean wants to do or what! The way the vets listen to his every command is something else.

I mentioned twice this past week how I envied everyone going to this game. Well done Bills fans!

This post just "bounced" you on the ignore list. -
If you walked into OBD talking like this, they would laugh you out of the building. The Bills offense is averaging 35 points a game and you want them to average 26.5 like Detroit and change their scheme to beat rookie TE stats? Is that your "standard"? Because if it is, it's a pretty myopic one. LOL, rookie TE stats after 4 games. You're critiquing on a message board and Kincaid is partying at Josh Allen's house celebrating.

Damien Harris is that 4 minute game closing RB.
