You really think so. He plays in a brutal game and he agreed to the pay cut. He was not forced. Why not give him the benefit of the doubt
Because I know what really happened.

This has nothing to do with his health. He is mad about the pay cut and wants out of the contract.
You are correct!

He is not allowed near the building. He did something stupid and there is no mulligan.

Obviously, the Eric Wood situation could not be helped. Injuries happen and thank God he's been forced to retire, rather than put himself in harm's way.
But the recent developments surrounding Incognito's abrupt retirement make me wonder ...
Did Beane lowball Incognito in an effort to make him quit?
Now that we've got a decimated O Line - AND an obvious need for a QB - my greatest fear is that this was choreographed by Beane in order to force Lamar Jackson onto McDermott.
With our current situation, an "exciting playmaking" QB who relies on his legs is the only type of QB who could possibly succeed with the O Line we're going to field. McCarron is going to get killed back there.
Jackson seems to be a Bills fan favorite (not mine) and A LOT of Bills fans were pissed about trading Tyrod away. This would please a lot (perhaps majority) of the fan base.
I don't think McDermott liked Tyrod and I can't see him wanting Jackson. But he wants to win games more than sell tickets. Maybe Beane sees Jackson as a way to accomplish both.
As the title states - this is pure speculation/guessing on my part. But it's my biggest fear and I hope it's not the case. Either way, I'll keep trusting the process.
Go Bills.
I don't believe so. Jackson has not been in for a pre-draft visit and I don't believe he is scheduled for one. Rosen was in today and Mayfield is in town tonight and scheduled to be at OBD tomorrow.

Carolina game and many others. Nice guy but don't be 3rd and 10 because he throw it short of the sticks. I wish him the best though.

There it is!! The Bills send 12, 22, 53, 65 and a 2019 2nd to the Giants for 2 and a 2019 5th.
Oldest trick in the book!

I don't think Smith will last until 12.

I really hated letting Peerless go too. I was hoping that he would retire a Bill and keep producing the way he did. He and Eric Moulds were great together.
Nice move by Donahoe by using the franchise tag on Peerless and then trading him to Atlanta for a first round draft pick. That was about the only good thing he did.

Jets fan here. Not looking to troll or anything like that. Just genuinely enjoy talking football with other fan bases. Been following the site for awhile and look forward to chopping it up over some sports.
think we all can agree this draft is going to be crazy for the AFC Easts future.
Who do you think the Jets are targeting at 3? Mayfield, Rosen or Allen?

What in the blue hell are you talking about
Sure the Bills never had a good GM...Polian, Butler...never
Butler lived off Polian's coat tails.

They may be able to get Rashad Evans at 22 if they don't move up.

I remember him twirling the umbrella in an NFL films video after the Saints won a game. RIP Mr. Benson.

Buffalo moves up to 12 (presumably for a QB). If it fails, then whats the plan?
Personally, I think that LB at 12 and the leftovers from the QB run at 22 is their plan. Tremaine Edmunds at 12. Rudolph or Jackson at 22. I tend to think there HAS to be a contingency. And with needs in other places, it makes sense to me that they would feel ok if the draft shakes out this way.
Any thoughts on it fellas?
That crossed my mind. They may want to move up a few spots and try to get Roquan Smith. They brought Star in to make it easier for the middle linebacker. As of now we don't have a quality MLB.

As long as Brent Musberger is brought in as QB coach.

He does not have enough of a body of work to pay him $15 million. That could lead to Osweiler 2.0.

The Bills are definitely moving up. I think they already have a potential deal to trade with the Giants at #2 or Colts at #3. Any thoughts?

I believe they have a deal with their old friend Gettleman. The trade today sealed the deal.

I’m all for the bills trading up but I hope they keep their first rounder for next year. If they crap the bed it could be a good pick for another qb if they swing and miss.
I believe acquiring the pick from Cleveland will allow us to keep #1 next year.

Nope I think they have one in place for No2 overall with the smoke about it AND Giants selling off all their current picks
I agree with you 100%. I also think the Browns may have given us info on who they are taking at 1. The Bills are going for their guy!

I remember I went to a game against Atlanta in the 70's. We won 3-0. I believe the coach for Atlanta was a guy named Leeman Bennett. Boring

It was the game against Miami. I looked it up. Is that the game where Kelly brought us from behind and Rob Riddick may have had a couple of touchdown receptions?

I went anyways, because a high-school classmate of mine, from a few years earlier, was on the Bills scab team. He didn't end up playing...it was a bad game...though I swear, I have seen a few games just as bad, if not worse by the "real" Bills. There were a couple of Bills/Browns games, in 2007 and 2009 that were pretty damn hideous.
I love your picture of Randy Smith. What a fun player to watch!

Man, I remember that game well. Everyone was excited that the strike would be over. But yeah, that was a crappy game.
Anyone remember the game after that? The first one back after the strike?
Was it a game against Atlanta?

I came across this story by accident and found it very interesting. It’s about the final 1987 replacement player game featuring the Bills and Giants. Lots of fascinating stuff in here — and some great stories by Marv Levy. Apologies if this has been posted before — but it was a nice break from the pre-draft stuff.
Lawrence Taylor crossed the picket line and played in the game. He was destroying the whole side of the line by himself.
