Teams have been using creeper blitzes and actual blitzes in the A gap. It makes it much harder on any guards say nothing about rookies who tend to be more mauler than finesse type guys. They need to clean up the protection. I'm guessing it's as much confusion as it is anything. I have to hope it can get coached up better and have better results. I also think they could scheme up plays to get them out of the A gaps. Wilkins is a terror either way. Some weeks we do the same things to some very good teams.

And so did Rapp but I'm not starting him over Poyer if Poyer has a bad game.

McGovern is probably our best pass blocking guard and he gets bull rushed often enough. Wilkins probably takes any guard we have and eats their lunch. We didn't do much running right at him which I would have like to have seen. They did however shorten up some of the passes and Kincaid and Shikir made the catches and kept the chains moving.

Like I said in another post all our b list free agents earned their paychecks this week.

Who are you subbing in for him against Wilkins with A gap blitzes who will do better?

If Dane was 6'1" 200 pounds he'd be a starter. He's a good player to having coming in when you need someone.

I bet the Dolphins would rather try to tackle Lamar. I guess the defense had his back. Allen can save his perfect game for later in the playoffs.

And the defense. So many scoreless drives by Miami. Outside of the fact that our offense wasn't pounding them on the scoreboard the must have thought they were still in Baltimore.

For the love of god .............. you can love Allen and still hate the turnovers. If Diggs was dropping every pass you say catch the ball. If Dawkins was getting false starts every play you'd say clean up the penalties. Allen is turning the ball over people are going to say stop turning the ball over. It only makes sense.

Well if it comes down to it we know Allen can get us into FG range. Any throw in the end zone is a crap shoot but field goal range he can do.

Between the 20s it's been a peach. In the red zone not so much.

Dolphins are getting pressure and I'll complain about sacks but you can't turn the ball over again and again. Drives have to end in a kick end of story. You can't take points off the board 4 times in a game.

How much do we expect the defense to do with Allen handing them the ball over and over again?

He didn't know the blitz was coming and he had to get rid of it? Missed block or not that ball needed to come out quick and as usual he was holding it. Josh is literally unable to throw quick passes. He either escapes the pocket or he takes a sack. I wish I was totally exaggerating but that's mostly true.

Designed or not like McD said it can't be thrown in the field of play ..... end of story.
