  1. Boomer just said Milano calls and is the learner of the defense Beat me to it
  2. Anyone not getting upset that a team that was recently decimated by injuries did nothing to add depth to increase SB chances is stupid
  3. You’re leaving out two aspects. Chubb is a known entity. He’s not a bust and he’s on the team this year. No waiting to develop or play next year or 2-3 years down the line.
  4. Might have a Lombardi had they given up cook and Bernard months earlier
  5. milano was the best player on the field Sunday night. Edmunds was the worst.
  6. Give Milano an extension and try to tag and trade Edmunds. a first round off ball lb needs to be good against the run and pass if he’s going to get a big second contract. Edmunds is so obviously bad against the run. I can think of 5 plays off the top of my head where he was horrible on Sunday night. If you want to say he’s good in the passing game that’s fine. But you can get a specialist in the later rounds. 1st round and big extensions are for complete players.
  7. Yes, but the problem with the injury bug is it’s not a real thing. In reality if you have one starting safety out for the year and the other dealing with multiple injuries, then your backup safeties are at increased risk to be injured due to increased playing time. They’re just as likely to get injured as the first two safeties contrary to what many fans around here seem to believe. If that happens you’re stuck with practice squad-level players on the back end in the playoffs. If you had the knowledge of the starters’ injuries before the deadline and did nothing to bolster depth then it is by definition an epic fail
  8. Unbearable lol. Who’s overreacting now? In the other major sports it’s very common for all of the contenders to give up picks and prospects at the deadline for rentals to help them. Trading wasn’t very common in the NFL until fairly recently. I think it will be the norm soon if it isn’t already due to the AFC arms race.
  9. getting a contributor in the 6th is extremely rare and they have 2 5ths next year. If they can add a for sure NFL player for the stretch run they’d be fools not to
  10. What if we trade for a guy on an expiring deal? For example, Edmunds’ brother, who is having a career year in PIT at S. Then let him walk after the season and recoup the pick we gave up as a comp pick when he signs a deal somewhere else.
  11. Exactly. That’s what I’m talking about. The Bills won’t be able to roster all of these players. Some will get poached. Or maybe a guy from the past draft, like Babylon Spector, will get pushed down to PS and get snagged. Either way it’s smart to add depth in a year we have been unlucky with injuries.
  12. They’re not gonna make the team. We already lose 6th rounders. Jets just got Robinson for a 6th edit: and we have 2 5ths next year
  13. I agree. I refuse to believe we can’t at least get depth for the stretch run for a pick (5th-7th) that might not even make the team next year.
